So I'll start off by saying the instructor we had was excellent, personable, and made the first few sessions very pleasant. The facility is nice and much larger than I expected based on its location in a smaller strip mall. There are three dance rooms, but the primary room that would be used for intro and private lessons appears to be the main ballroom which has enough room for 5-6 couples to receive instruction at one time. This also means that you could be learning the foxtrot, but the music playing would be for a waltz or other style of dance based on the other clients present. If your uncomfortable having others watch your lessons or needing to avoid other dancers and lessons even during a "private" lesson this is something to consider; however, I didn't think it was a large issue. The introduction teaches you one step of 3-4 dances and gives you some basics to work from going forward which is more than enough to fit the introductory timeframe. At this point you may be wondering what caused my rating to be so negative based on the above. The negative for me came in the after introduction sales pitch. Another instructor/owner/manager took us back to go over their packages and sold a package at ~$800 that included ~45 hours of curriculum. This was split over private lessons, group classes, and weekly "club parties" which you trade/change partners. All of this is fine; however, we have busy weeks and are unable to attend 3x per week or on Thursday's when our group courses would be. We mentioned this to the sales staff and asked about other options, but it appeared they were uninterested in selling anything else. We were told it would be ok if we missed once per week because the main value came from the private lessons, but I am averse to paying for a service I know I'm going to miss 30% of. Still hoping to salvage a portion of the process since we enjoyed ourselves we asked about only private lessons. We were told this was too inconvenient for their instructors, it would be $80 per class, and then they went right back to selling their main package. When we again said this wouldn't work the sales staff rudely close their book and left the room leaving us to say bye to our instructor and leave. TL:DR - If you don't have $800 and 3 free nights per week give this company a pass. They will be rude and dismissive as soon as you don't want that specific service and schedule.

The shop is connected to the beautician/barber school that she graduated from, which is pretty cool for the students there. As for the shop itself, it's definitely a starting point. There were 3 other stations with beauticians working. Comfortable chairs, clean stations, but bare besides a couple of chairs for people waiting to sit in. But I wasn't there for the aesthetic of the shop. I was there to get my hair braided, and Amari did amazing job. Her braiding skills made up for the long drive & lack of decor in the shop.

Marti is from Colombia and is engaged in a lot of great dance events in the city along with her daughter, Layla, who is also an amazing dancer. In all fairness he's only been twice so far, he swims tue, thur, and Friday for an hour. I'll update this review after a few weeks. I will say they seem fairly organized, with a few wasted moments between strokes but not too bad. I don't appreciate it when some coaches are on their phones while "instructing". We are driving all the way from South Oklahoma City to Norman, the beautiful aquatic center at the Mitch Park YMCA, a good solid 45 minutes one way but I'm willing to do that if they improve his mechanics/speed/endurance! I don't think they have monthly meets, although the team is officially sanctioned. I believe their next meet is in Oct. All I can say is that Stephanie's expertise and guidance truly set me up for success when I delivered and breastfed for the first time. After our session, I knew the basic ways to hold my baby cross body - tummy to tummy - and in football hold, how to position my nipples for an optimal latch, how to keep my baby awake while she was feeding, how to unlatch properly, how to burp the baby and overall just have the confidence I needed to breastfeed as a first time mom. Lots of friends warned me about cracked and bloody nipples and how they couldn't wear bras or clothes for weeks because they were in so much pain. Stephanie's guidance spared me from the bloody, cracked nipples!! Sure, I was sore from the newness of it all but I was able to wear bras and clothes from day 1 and this is because Stephanie was able to teach me all the right ways to position myself (my posture), my nipples/areoles, and my baby's latch. When baby wasn't latched right and it was painful, I knew how to safely fishhook my baby's mouth open to start over. Breastfeeding is a really daunting, scary thing to do for first time moms but Stephanie really takes a humble approach to address your concerns, she shares information with you slowly and also provides great demonstrations so you can really get the hang of it. Another perk about choosing Stephanie as your lactation consultant is that she is available to you after hours if you're having trouble or if you have questions and need advice. She was always available via text and FaceTime, which was such a relief to know that I could have extra help when needed. I felt so comfortable with Stephanie the entire time and I will 100% recommend her to any of my friends who are going to have a baby. Stephanie's services are worth every penny! 5 stars! After I delivered and started breastfeeding, the doctors, nurses and lactation consultants who were rounding would all compliment how comfortable and natural breastfeeding was for me and my baby. We recently had another beautiful girl, and Stephanie was the first one we called when we hit a breastfeeding bump. This time around, we thought we had the hang of breastfeeding, and in a lot of ways, we were more comfortable. But our newest little angel had a shallow latch that was causing some real pain for my wife. We knew Stephanie would have the answers, and sure enough, she came through for us. Stephanie reminded us of a few techniques we'd forgotten, and just like magic, our daughter's latch improved, and breastfeeding is far more comfortable. This second visit also reminded me why Stephanie is so worth a visit, because she can save families literally thousands of dollars by helping mothers use the right techniques with their little ones. I remember with our first daughter, doctors recommending supplementing with formula, pumping when it was unnecessary, and this time around, someone recommending we look into tongue tie surgery for our daughter's shallow latch. We could have gone down these roads, and honestly, these might be needed in some cases and there's nothing wrong with that. But a visit from Stephanie was all we needed to get on a roll with another beautiful breastfeeding journey for my wife and our daughter. Thank you so much Stephanie!
