The night before the outing, while at the girls' hockey game, we suddenly realized no one had them. Panic set in. Out of desperation, I sent them a message on Facebook--fully expecting either no reply or, at best, a "sorry, nothing we can do." To my absolute surprise, within 10 minutes they responded. Not only did they reassure me, but they immediately offered solutions. While we were scrambling to see if someone nearby could grab the signs, they asked where we were--and when I told them we were at the game, they went above and beyond. They actually offered to bring the signs to us. After the game, they met me at my house and delivered them personally. I was floored. They easily could have said, "Sorry, we'll see you Monday," and I would have understood. Instead, they went out of their way, on their own time, to make sure our team was taken care of. That kind of service is almost unheard of these days. What they did was not just customer service--it was genuine kindness, and it meant the world to us. I had tried to do my taxes myself and had completed everything except one serious problem with inputting and coding one of my 1099-R as a refund of Basis I prepaid on an annuity product that I cancelled and the Basis was refunded to me, not to be counted as income. The program I was using included the amount refunded as Income instead of refund of Basis adding to my gross income. Struggling with the program, I could not get this resolved and could not finish my taxes. I called Wolverine and John Eaton answered my call. I explained the above to John. John actually listens. John came up with solutions. He said I did not need Wolverine for a simple return because of the cost. John proposed that he recommend a tax preparer to do my return and file it. Moreover, when I went in to resolve the issue, Annette acted in a hostile manner, and claimed that in May of 2021 I had not brought in one of my 1099s (which I have record of doing), and said that they had no record of my check for their services (which I paid them for). Do NOT go to them for tax services.
