All have played sports at Pondo and been involved in clubs and other groups which both strengthened their bond to their classmates and to the school. We found teachers and coaches to genuinely care about our kids and their friends. Most of the students live in less densely populated neighborhoods and correspondingly you'll see more pickups than BMWs in the parking lot each morning. We enjoyed the lower level of pretense that exists here versus the other choices down the hill and believe our kids benefitted from it.

They treat people differently based on appearance and can not manage to be decent human beings. The office is the main and if not only problem with this school. Even their parking is better than the office staff. This office staff is worse than a hospitals office. I've been treated better at Walmart. They treat me horribly when I go in there. They clearly do not want to be there and don't know how to treat students. We're almost legal adults and should be treated with the slightest bit of respect. I am not asking for much, just to have my words validated and to not be basically shooed out of a school office. The bottom line is that there needs to be a whole new office staff put in there. The principals, vice principals and counsellors are all fine and are great to work with, too so I do not see how all of the low level bottom feeders for office staff are all so horrible. Even the campus monitor that goes around campus on her golf cart is super sweet and welcoming, it's just those receptionists and clerks that do the basic paper work and deal with attendance. I will admit, the attendance discipline for being late or missing a day is super strict and a little much but that's not the point. If you can avoid going into the office for any reason most of the school year, kudos. If not, I'm totally sorry and I wish you the best of luck dealing with these dismissive, disrespectful and unhappy people.

Even when reporting bullying to staff straight up doesn't work. - I developed GAD and Severe Depression and almost commit suicide/left the school multiple times because of the school not caring. - Bad rules, such as their cell phone policy, what am I gonna turn off my phone during a school shooting and go to the office? Including their "No Drop Off Zones" which causes more traffic and making children later than ever before. - School food is not good at all, once I ordered a sandwich, and it was moldy! What kind of school has moldy sandwiches?

Students are competent and intelligent but it has nothing to do with campus or district administration.
