Can't say enough good things about this company! Buckeye Painting has done several projects for us in the past three years, and we've been thoroughly satisfied with their work. They painted our deck and some outside trim, and this year painted nearly the entire interior of our house including endless trim around doors, windows, crown molding, and baseboards. Each time they produced quality work. The crews are courteous, diligent, and they prioritized our needs. The crews and management follow up on every detail. Although not the least expensive option, I keep going back to this company because of their excellent work. Totally worth every penny. read more

I had very high expectations after meeting with them, they were very nice and promised that the painters would remove everything, tarp everything, then put everything back exactly as it was and do a very thorough cleanup. The first thing a painter said to my husband was basically asking him if we were going to help them remove and put things back, which confused us since that was part of the job description. These people cut so many corners. They didn't remove switch plates or fixtures, they didn't tarp everything, they didn't sand down patches on the wall, they didn't remove any nails they just painted over them, and they got paint spatter all over my house. When they finished they did not do a thorough cleaning, they used MY broom that I had set out and swept the floor, that is it. They did make an effort put mostly everything back where it was but it was all done very sloppily. We had to have them scratch paint off of some things in the final walk through, but there was no way I could've noticed all the little things that got paint on them. When I asked if there was going to be a more thorough cleanup than just sweeping the answer was basically "nah that's it". So I had to spend hours deep cleaning (which I thought I was paying for) and chipping paint off of every surface, and I keep finding it places a couple weeks later. I don't think they tarped my bathroom barely at all considering there was paint on my shower head, my shower curtain, my face lotion on the counter, on the tile floor and in the grout, on my tub and on some decor. When I called to let them know I was upset about the way it went they did try to rectify the situation by offering to come back, however I had already cleaned it up and fixed it because it was finished on a Friday evening so I left a voicemail and didn't hear back until Monday - because I wasn't going to leave my house like that. From speaking with them and looking at the cost I, like I said, had very high expectations that were unfortunately not met. The painters were nice people, but the sloppiness of it all was not what I expected and I felt completely misled about how "professional" of a job it was going to be. They did the majority of my 1,150 sq foot house in two days, and my guess is that part of the sloppiness comes from being rushed. I'd have rather had it be a three day thing and done properly. They get two stars because the walls themselves are painted fine, but the misleading description of what the job is paired with the actual execution and its lack of professional detail is not acceptable at the price point. read more

We used this company at our previous house (and my mother in law used them several times) and had a great experience - so when we moved into a new home that needed some painting done we didn't think twice to call them. Bob did the quote for us and although it was more than we hoped it would be - we knew we were getting quality work so we moved forward. Katie was great helping us pick out our colors - but that's where the positive experience ended. The man who came out was late for a 1 day job and called me to tell me he was done several hours before he was supposed to be finished. I did a quick walk through and signed off because I had to rush home on my lunch break to do so (he was not supposed to be done until after I was off work). Once I got home I realized there were SO many mistakes and corners cut... - the downstairs bathroom was painted a dark navy/grey. We ended up with pain on the register vent, sink, and toilet that had to be scraped off. - the painter came back to fix the upstairs bathroom at our request because he didn't even take the outlet plates off!! He got paint on the outlets, the cabinet, AND the counter. I watched him not deal anything and set an open can of paint RIGHT on my counter on his go back visit. When we called bob to complain he was very rude. There were multiple areas that needed patched that didn't get done and Bob said that the wall was like that. We agreed but point out on the quote where that was supposed to be part of the service. We noticed a few weeks later that the painter had clearly not used a new roller or nosed his and had painted with the navy/grey paint and didn't cover it up. It's so frustrating because we paid almost $600 for this service only to be treated like crap by management and have shoddy work done that I've had to fix myself. Lastly - my husband noticed several weeks after the paint job was done that two of his prescription bottles were empty. We have no way to prove this was the painter - but he was the only person not in my immediate family (which is just my husband and I) to have been in the house. I would NOT recommend this company. Their prices are high and they do not stand behind their work or perform what they promise. read more

I've used Buckeye House Painting for two jobs in the past 6 months - First, they painted my entire house including shutters and fencing... Then, they came back to paint Gutters. Working with Katie who quotes, sets up the jobs and provides all the customer service ... is just amazing! She CARES that you get not just a good job, but a GREAT job!! And if there are small details that need to be attended to like maybe a small missed spot, well, they address and fix it. Her crews are very polite and professional. I appreciated that they asked me when they had questions instead of assuming how they thought I might want things done. (Trust me - my house job was challenging determining trim color vs house color in many detailed areas.) These guys are amazing. I called to get a quote, and they were at my house within a few days. There was no pressure to book my appointment after the quote and consultation, and when I did call a few days later to schedule - they were give me options of within the next week! They were early both to the consultation and to complete the work. I had the trim on my second story painted, and my basement walls and trim painted. The painter went above and beyond, even as far as to clean any paint off the wood floor (that was actually paint that I had spilled myself - and was just putting off). You don't pay for the services until their done (not even a deposit). When I went to pay i wanted to use a credit card, but there was not someone in the office to take it, so I gave the painter a check. I called the office and let them know I really wanted to use a credit card (b/c I was trying to earn points), and they told me no problem, shredded the check, and took the CC payment over the phone. Excellent, excellent, excellent! Katie is super fast, I am pretty sure she has the whole Sherwin Williams book committed to memory. She did a great job picking up on subtle tones and accentuating them! The painters were fast, hard working, and so incredibly polite. The only hurdle we had was we didn't account for a few spaces in the original plan so our final price did increase but overall it was great service. They are also very quick to respond. If we decide to paint more, we will for sure go back to Buckeye!! read more

I really can't say enough good things about this company. We have a 3-story older home with lots of wood trim and 90 year-old cedar shingles, which have been painted many times. We have not had good luck with painting companies in the past (one guy sat on a folding chair and painted as far up as a long roller would reach.) Buckeye did not disappoint us. First, timeliness: Katie arrived on time to give us our estimate, on time for a meeting to consult with me about colors, they started the job two days earlier than they had scheduled, and Juan and his crew arrived early every morning to start work. Those guys worked non-stop, every day in brutal heat, prepping and painting. Second, quality: I tend to be picky, but am 100% pleased with the painting and the clean-up. The crew did not overspray paint onto the brick foundation and chimney, as we've had in the past, they covered windows, took down porch lights, and were careful of our plantings. I'm most impressed with the meticulous job they did on painting the trim--I can't see a hair out of line. This crew really takes pride in their work. Third: Price: Buckeye painted the house and garage for less than we had it done 12 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend Buckeye enthusiastically to any of my friends. read more

If they operate anything close to how they drive , I will never do business with them. Saw a driver this morning in a four door sedan that had their name on the side panels and hatch recklessly cutting across FIVE lanes of traffic in heavy traffic on his d**n phone. At 270 E at 71. Um. No. Stupidity like that deserves no business. read more
