A sister and I went to Buckeye's while I was visiting Mansfield this past weekend. I was surprised by how much they charge for pedicures. I live in Washington and a basic pedicure is $40 at the most but Buckeye's charged $50. (This is what I get for not inquiring about the price before we went in). The technician, who was African American, that did my sister's pedicure, apparently felt it was okay to make distasteful jokes because we are African American as well, however, I found her conversation rude, reckless and disrespectful as she made jokes about my sister's feet, criticized my sister's choice of nail polish selection, complained about the fact that more customers were arriving as she was ready to go home and played raunchy music on her cell phone without earbuds. I really wanted to tell her that she ran her mouth too much didn't want to cause a scene. Before we left she informed me that the man who did my pedicure complained about my not providing a tip. I don't tip for overpriced subpar service and she had talked herself out of a tip. I have this tip for them...Get rid of unprofessional unethical employees. read more

Was the worst experience out of any nail salon I have been to. They had a dog and when my nail tech got up to grab my nail polish he petted the dog. He came back to me with dog hair on his hands grabbing my hands without washing his, I'm allergic to animals so this was not good for me at ALL! But he continued to paint my nails with the dog hair on them, he ended up painting one into my nail polish. On top of that he never changed the E file bit for a new one so when he worked on my friends nails he didn't change the bit from when he worked on mine. Filing with the emery bored, he was so rough he filed through my natural nail into my nail bed. He didn't cure my nails with an LED light he had me use a space heater and a desk fan. I am beyond UPSET. The nail tech I sat down with just sat me down, and started to cut my nails when i had grown them out as long as i could so i was able to get gel polish on them. she didn't ask me what i was getting, and i spoke up while she was in the middle of cutting them and i said "i'd like to keep them as long as i can" and she just nodded her head and continued to cut them as short as they could. she pulled out the nail tips as if i was getting an acrylic full set and i stopped her and mentioned that i was just getting gel polish. after she had already assured me that she could do the design i wanted, she changed her answer because my nails were "too short". well yeah, she just cut them all off. on top of that, i chose a color i liked and she said that it was a "mood changing color", so she picked a similar one and i didn't love the color. not only were my nails as short as a 5-year-old's, and i didn't love the orangish color she put on, but i woke up this morning to YELLOW nails! apparently the polish she put on anyways was color changing. Long story short, I made an appointment somewhere else the next day and now i have to get acrylics to cover up my embarrassing 5-year-old fingernails. Went there today and asked for a simple white ombré, they told me they would have to do the powder, I said the last time I got it they just did the air brushing, they told me it was the cheap way out and it would chip.... Weird. Never had a problem before... Whatever I went ahead and did it....... Then! He filled so hard on my nail he sliced my finger, it started bleeding and all he did was give me a half ass apology.... Also, I never saw him clean any of his tools or throw anything away after my bloody finger had been rubbed on his nail files.... I will not be returning. Never go here. I went once and the dremel like tool he used gave me an infection on two fingers. I'm on my third round of antibiotics and have to go see an infectious dr tomorrow. Just not happy with my experience. I took my best friend and her daughter there to get mani/pedis before my friend's baby shower this last weekend. I made an appointment for 11:00am for two manicures and one pedicure. At 11:15, they had my friend start her pedicure. At 11:30, I asked how long it would be for the two manicures. The woman said she just had to polish someone's nails and we would be next. She actually meant, however, that she had to give someone an entire no-chip manicure, so it wasn't until 12:05 that she was ready! I told her to forget mine and just had her do my friend's daughter's. Why did I bother making an appointment if we had to wait an hour?! So annoying. Waited 45 minutes for my appointment then she soaked my fingers in a bowl of acetone for over and hour while she proceeded to take another customer, did a full set on her then came to look at my fingers and tried to tell me to wait as she glanced at the waiting room attempting to take yet another customer. I told her my fingers were burning from soaking so long and she got an attitude and said ok fine come over here. Moved me to another table and ended Up doing such a half assed job that they didn't even last 24 hours without cracking. horrible customer service and horrible quality! I was unhappy with the time I had here. I must start with I was getting my nails done for prom so I was hoping for a calming experience, but that is the opposite of what I got. I asked my mom to make me an appointment while I was at school. The lady was so rude on the phone. I needed an appointment at 10 or 10:30 because I had other plans and appointments the rest of the day. So my mom asked for those times and got this response "10 is good, bye". So I went in I was 5 minutes early to my appointment. I walked in and there was only 2 people working. No one asked how I was doing or anything. Both workers were working on someone when I walked in. 10 o'clock hit and nothing, time kept passing and nothing. 10:30, 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start I went up and said I had an appointment at 10. That's when I got service. The pictures I am showing you is what I asked for and I what I got. The guy that was doing my nails asked if I wanted that length I said "No I need to go shorter because I do work in fast food and I need them short to work." He told me he couldn't do that design because it would have looked ugly. I didn't know what to say because I haven't never got my nail done before and I was listening to his advice. He also hurt me many times, I told him I have never gotten my nails done and it was hard for me to relax. So he got frustrated with me and got tired of telling me to relax he started to squeeze my fingers. He also didn't push back my cuticles, I found out later they do this so I can come back sooner. I would give this salon zero stars if at all possible. I have never had a manicure so bad in my life. Brandon was the techs name and he doesnt listen to what you want. I asked for my nails to not be cut down, and to keep the shape the same. He then proceeded to hack my nails off and file them with the result being crooked. When i asked for him to fix them, he rolled his eyes and muttered an curse under his breath. I will never go back, and yall bet your butts that I will tell everyone I know not to go there. He lost almost 100 dollars today and quite a few customers. I have been a loyal customer but my last visit is just that, my last visit. when she applied the first hand of gel polish,i said that is not the right color, it did not match the sample i had in front of her. She argued with me and kept going, When i pointed out again this is not the right color, she noticed that she used the bottle of polish from the previous customer. I got no apology, no offer to change the color, no discount or offer for next visit. They no longer take credit cards, it's time to invest in a new credit card machine. Was in town with my sister and decided to get pedicures. Beware if you get the girl on her Bluetooth the whole time since she's not paying attention and cuts nails way too short (and crooked.)
