No grass but very nicely adorned with rock gravel and desert tolerating plants. We appreciated how clean the grounds were with zero trash or debris. There were no picnic tables but that was also ok since we bring suitable tables. This will be our spot whenever we visit our friends in nearby Goodyear. It was midnight, our kids were exhausted, and this was the only place around, yet no one was available to help despite signs saying "24-hour check-in." Everything is self-serve with a wall full of rules, and no real support for travelers passing through. If you're road-tripping, overlanding, or camping with a rooftop tent or small trailer, beware -- this park is RVs only and not traveler-friendly.

We called Leaf Verde RV and they said we could dump at one of their vacant RV spots. When we got there the dump fee was $40. I was tempted to go to City Hall and empty there but paid the fee. We were headed west and noted there was a dump station at the Love's east of Phoenix but that was a long way thru traffic so we bit the bullet and paid their exorbitant fee.

When you park and set everything up, the next person's septic hookup is literally right by your picnic table and grill, like a couple feet away. You can smell it, especially when it gets hot, and it's pretty nasty. The pool is overloaded with chlorine and most of the lights don't even work. I'd say around 70% of the lights are out, including the ones inside the pool, so it just feels poorly maintained. The bathrooms look like they haven't been updated in decades. Everything is worn down and cheap. Even something basic like a toilet paper holder isn't there, the roll just sits on a rail leaning against the wall. The dump area smells terrible, like rotting waste, and overall a lot of the park smells like cigarettes and septic. For $112 a night, it's honestly not worth it at all. This place feels like a 1 star at best and I definitely won't be coming back. Only positive thing I can say is the security guy was really nice.

When I finally arrived, I was greeted by Pat. She showed me where I would be stationed with my teardrop trailer. The campground is right on the HWY 60 so you will get a lot of traffic noise and train traffic. Because I arrived late (2pm) instead of 10 am a few openings were all towards the back of the campground. I thought it would be a bad thing but it helped a bit with the noise, although the noise didn't bother me much anyway. Each camping spot had a spigot. I was in an area that was part gravel and dirt. The Historic Hotel has great history! What I found fascinating was the hotel was moved from its original spot to across the street, I believe in the 1940's. There are a few rooms upstairs and believe it or not the bar salon was originally upstairs. The wood upstairs is mostly all original and some windows as well.

I am not brave enough to stayed here for the summer. The summer here is extremely hot over +100' F. The star lite nights and sunset here are the worth the stay. This is a low cost laid back snowbird RV campground. The manager Ron drives around on a 4-wheeler. If your dog is good they might get a dog treat from him. Patrons here love their animals. Please pick up any waste. There are limited hours on showers, laundromat, restrooms, trash bend- recycling area, black water-service only $5. If you wish to dump your black water yourself. Great,The black vault is to the right of the restrooms. There are yearly, monthly, daily spots available year. The closest market is Salome Market, 67230 US-60, Salome, AZ 85348. There you can find propane, gasoline, groceries, liquor, and laundry. We are the people, Respect each person. We all volunteer here in one way or another. The lodge is a great place for socializing. The main door has all info about upcoming events. Some of the events are as follows: Petunia, ladies craft days, kid fun, dinners, mail service, and games nights. Though on Wine Wednesday ladies walk around the park. The park is about one mile around. The gentleman meet up at the fireplace in the lodge and drink coffee before petunia. It is nice to use a Honda or a quiet generator. If you have to use a generator. The noise carries a long way in the desert. Please respect the hours allotted to run the generator. If you have medical conditions, you are able to use a generator at night. Make sure to bring a mountain or e-bike. One of my favorite things to do is mountain bike the desert. Make sure to bring boots, sunglasses, hat, and plenty of water. Little secret the best hiking trail is Harquahala Mountain Trailhead. Please check out my photos!

Very quiet park but very accommodating…read more They have a 24/7 room with laundry available, couple bathrooms, small tv with dish hookup, huge dvd selection, tons of books, couple board games, few puzzles and a couple exercise equipment. The property has small rocks throughout property but they did not allow a wood fire :( it was soooo cold! But we understand. There is a small gold course at the entrance of the park. It was fun playing it at night. The owner added lights specifically for the golf course and a little fountain. The attention to detail was there. There is a small dog park that is gated but meant for big dogs. Small dogs will walk right through the posts. We stayed here for a night and when we went to turn on our diesel bus, it wouldn't turn on. We eventually found out our gas filter froze overnight due to the elevation probably because we've stayed in colder places. So if you're staying here bring extra fuel help. We had added additive to help it from gelling but wasn't enough. Make sure to bring 911 something to help start it. We're definitely buy it. Owner very helpful and answered even tho New Year's Day.

They have several regulars who come back every year for the winter season, but this year they also were full of construction workers from the border wall project. We were lucky to get a spot for the month but had to leave by a certain date due to a pending reservation from another group. They have a laundry room, DVD collection, and a library that we took advantage of while staying there. The park is located just across the street from the local grocery store making it convenient for shopping. There are desert walking trails out the back of the park that we also utilized on a daily basis with our dogs. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area if they had availability.

It was clean and the perfect temperature at about 98 degrees. The woman that helped us was helpful and very informative. She also volunteers for time to keep the hot springs, nice and clean. The bathrooms are very clean and look newly remodeled with cute lights. I can't wait to go back and try out the other pools. I would say don't listen to people that haven't been there in a while because they've definitely done a lot to improve their facilities.

Starts at $40/person, which is HIGH. High for the tepid 98F water temp. High for the incessant flies. The communal hot tub area is clean, and we felt safe. There are showers, and their restrooms are good, too. But the water wasn't even hot tub warm. And the flies could drive you crazy. I'd like to rate it higher, it's a cool, calm, and happy place with various types of tubs in the communal area, which is nude only. But for $40, I could sit in a river without the flies, downstream from view, nude, and be happier. There's lots of parking, fuel nearby, something to eat, but despite its proximity to Phoenix, they could buy some fly strips and heat the water.
