I had an incredible experience at the WigWam Resort. I especially liked the fact that I do not have to have housekeeping on a daily basis and I can opt out and the resort will plant a tree for me. Plus, this cuts down on unnecessary laundering of towels, that I would use on a daily basis. I was able to use the Tower pool early in the morning before my conference sessions and it was a great way to get going. The in-house Starbucks Verona coffee was a great starter too. I also wandered over to the Golf Club , Tennis Center and gym. It was all within walking distance and perfect for my stay. The WigWam Bar was great spot in the heart of the complex, serving up local beers and great meals. The Resort staff was impeccable and they were helpful in every situation. I look forward to coming back in the Spring to enjoy the cooler weather and the great service. read more

Beautiful Resort with Truly Exceptional Service! The Wigwam was such a wonderful experience! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful -- gorgeous Southwestern architecture and landscaping, spacious accommodations, and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. But what really made my stay memorable was the people. The service from beginning to end was outstanding. My experience started with an easy check-in and a wonderful surprise -- a complimentary room upgrade! I also had a Tesla that needed charging, and the valet team immediately moved it to the front of the line and took care of it for me. That level of attentiveness continued throughout my entire stay. I loved spending time at the adults-only Oasis Pool, and one of my favorite resort amenities was the golf-cart transportation around the property. Staff will pick you up and take you wherever you'd like to go, which is especially appreciated during the Arizona summer heat! The highlight of my stay was definitely the Summer Sampler at LeMonds Aveda Salon & Spa. It included a wonderful massage and facial, time relaxing by the beautiful spa pool, a delicious fresh salad for lunch, and a wash and style to finish the day. Everyone at the spa was incredibly kind and attentive. Pauline did my hair and was exceptionally sweet -- the perfect ending to such a relaxing day. I also had a great experience at the Wigwam Bar. Amber was a fabulous bartender and server, and Gabriel, the manager, was exceptional. They were happy to accommodate my low-carb request and substitute fresh vegetables for the rice, which was very much appreciated. There are plenty of beautiful resorts, but it's the hospitality that can make a stay truly memorable, and The Wigwam absolutely delivered. Everyone I encountered made me feel welcome and well cared for. I would absolutely return and highly recommend The Wigwam for a relaxing Arizona getaway! read more

We had a great time there. We signed up for a summer special and asked for a early check-in at 1 PM. We got an email at 10 AM saying our room was already ready. What a great start. We had an Oasis suite and it was spacious and it looked newly renovated. The bathroom had both a tub and a walkin shower and we had a first floor room so we could walk directly to the adult pool. We went swimming every afternoon we were there and other than one person for 10 minutes, we were the only ones swimming. One nice thing is that they provide pool noodles so we could float to our hearts content. From the time we checked in, every person on their staff was helpful and friendly. We found when we checked in that the valets offered a free shuttle throughout the resort. So one night we went to the golf course and took a shuttle there. Since it was 112° it was a great alternative to driving or walking. If we had one quibble, the exterior of the resort, could've used an update. For example, the adult soft water pool surround was cracked in many places. I guess trying to grow grass in Phoenix in the middle of summer is difficult, but it made the common areas look unkempt. But overall, we loved everything else about the resort and would highly recommend staying here. read more

While I didn't have a room here, I attended a four-day conference where my group had run of the place. I have to admit, it is a really nice venue for a conference, and the staff was amazing. What really surprised me was the food, which, aside from the chicken breast at one of the lunches (this is never, ever juicy anywhere), the meals were really tasty, and generous. The staff couldn't have been any nicer and helpful. My one beef, something that really can't be changed is the layout. It took me the entire time to figure out where anything is. It is like an Escher maze, but hey, at least it gets you to fill your walking steps goal. read more

My husband surprise me with a weekend trip to the wigwam for our anniversary. We packed a quick bag and headed over to the resort. Even thought ahead to get around close to the adult only pool. He gets extra brownie points for that lol our room was beautiful. With a huge balcony overlooking the pool there's a nice huge tub to soak in the room as well as a separate shower, a king size bed, and a couch. We decided to take advantage of the nearly empty pool for a bit before heading out to dinner at the nearby Reds at the golf course. Service was phenomenal no matter where we went on the property room was quiet and we just kept talking about how comfortable the bed and pillow pillows were.. we typically wish we were back at home when we go to a hotel because the beds are so uncomfortable but this trip we slept great. They had live music at the bar and Grill when we went for a later night, appetizer and drinks. We're already planning our next trip back. I will say if you have younger kids that the bigger pool is pretty awesome as a waterslide and his large enough even when busy that you don't feel overcrowded it was a great weekend for sure. read more

What a throwback! They wouldn't build places like this anymore -- mostly single story and spread out. The wigwam started as a small lodge during the rise of cotton ranching in the early 1900s, and then opened its doors as a resort in 1929. You can feel the history. Rooms can be located very far away but the staff does have golf carts to shuttle around guests. I never did take them up on their offer, opting instead to enjoy a stroll around the grounds. I was here for a conference and the services and food were all excellent. Rooms are bigger than normal and the main lobby has great atmosphere and tucked away corners. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is great. A nice respite from the normal hustle and bustle these days! read more

An absolutely beautiful property! It is a historic property that recently under went renovation. The grounds are so pretty and very well maintained. The property is also huge! Since the property is so large, they have golf carts that can take you from wherever you are to your room and the staff was very very nice! They also have cute little cottages around the green belts... some complete with orange trees growing in their front yard! The room that I stayed in was huge and overlooked the pool and jacuzzi area. I even noticed that they had water aerobics on one of the mornings... And it was packed! I also tried the spa which was very nice with its own pool and relaxation rooms, a fabulous women's lounge complete with lockers for your items to be kept safe and a small but fabulous gift shop! This day I opted for the Desert aloe body scrub, which was amazing! After they scrub you down, they slather you with aloe and wrap you up like a burrito....you leave feeling like you have new skin! The Lichfield restaurant is fantastic! And the service was very classy! I also tried the pizza place across the street from this property as people say it's some of the best! I'd say it was in my top 10 for sure! My last day I finally made it to breakfast.... I loved this! The restaurant has an adorable outdoor sitting area that's perfect for a casual breakfast. Everything I ordered was fantastic! I am not a golfer, but the grounds look spectacular! I would say if you're looking for a relaxing getaway weekend and you are a golfer this is a great resort to stay at. It is about 40 minutes away from Scottsdale. read more

We recently purchased day passes for the Wigwam Resort and left feeling underwhelmed. The resort has both a family pool and an adult pool. The family pool was extremely crowded with children, which is expected for a family-friendly resort. We spent most of our time at the adult pool, which was much quieter and child-free. Unfortunately, the adult pool area felt like an afterthought compared to the family side. Several tiles in the pool were broken, giving the area a worn and somewhat neglected feel. The lounge chairs were not as nice as those at the family pool, and the cabanas also seemed less inviting and less maintained. The food and beverage experience was another disappointment. There was no traditional menu available at the adult pool. Instead, you had to scan a QR code on the drink menu to access food options and then call in your order yourself. It felt inconvenient and took away from the relaxing resort experience. One bright spot was the poolside service. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly throughout the day. She did a great job and provided excellent customer service. While the adult pool provided a quieter atmosphere, it lacked the quality and amenities I expected. read more

I am extremely disappointed with how management handles customer property damage at this resort. While parked at The Wigwam, a stray golf ball from the nearby course struck the trunk of my 2025 Lexus ES 350, leaving a significant dent. There are no "park at your own risk" warning signs posted anywhere in this parking area. I immediately reported the damage to security, who came out and filed an official incident report. I was assured that the Director of Operations, Sheffield Crosby, would reach out to me the following Monday with the results of their investigation. It has been complete radio silence ever since. Despite leaving voicemails and sending an email, management refuses to return my calls, acknowledge the incident, or address my concerns. It is incredibly frustrating that a resort of this caliber simply sweeps incidents like this under the rug and pretends they never happened once you leave the property. If you are visiting or staying here, be highly aware that your vehicle is at risk of damage from the golf course, and the leadership team will completely ignore you when it happens. Park at your own risk, because management certainly won't take any responsibility. TO THE OWNER: no need to reply with a "we are disappointed," "we are committed to customer service," or similar generic comments. You had plenty of opportunities to make this right. read more

It is an older resort but they have done a good job of keeping things updated. The grounds crew does an exceptional job of keeping everything looking like it's the first week of spring. I did not golf this trip but have in the past and the course (3 of them) are all very nice the play on. Had breakfast or lunch at the Wigwam Bar. It is a fairly limited menu but everything is well made. Dinner at Litchfield's my last night there is always a special treat. Air conditioning stopped working first night. Room was a sauna all night and morning. Switched our room, made us move all our stuff, no help whatsoever. Our stay was for 4 more nights, never checked in on us. Never reached out to try to remedy, full charge for everything and even still tried to charge us extra for a cot to our room. The pool staff is kinda rude, not the wait staff. If you are looking for an A+ hospitality experience, skip this place. read more

We came in for a special event on NYE. Just one single night. Stayed in a "garden suite". As I was trying to make it social for my pregnant wife, I did call ahead and book amenities to have in the room upon arrival. S'mores and milk, guacamole,etc. I opened rhe mini fridge to have the milk spill all over me, then I see the guacamole which looks OLD. But im still charged for these things. Then I look to use the s'mores to only find out there is no fire pit at the room or even nearby. You have to go to the front of the resort to even enjoy this amenity- maybe you should inform people before you charge them for a single smore... Then as I try to put clothes away I see they don't actually clean the room and people have left dirty clothes in the drawers. This sure doesn't feel like a luxury experience... I ignore this to take a shower to find the shower only shoots cold water- so I take a freezing shower. And of course the last disgusting thing I find is hair in the tub- but not my hair. My friends and I arrived at the Wigwam yesterday around 10am. We had a day planned of lounging by the adults only Oasis pool before spending the night in our poolside suite. As an added treat, I had called days prior and reserved a cabana. I was informed that for the cost, we would be provided waters, chips, salsa, and guacamole, a fruit platter, pool noodles, and frozen treats. The cabana hours would be 11am - 5pm Unpon checking in and taking our items to our room, we finally arrived to the pool around 1030am. I was surprised to see that there were only 2 cabanas available at the Adult pool. Additionally, they were nothing more than a lounge bed surrounded by TORN curtains. When it hit 1050am and we had not seen either cabana being set up, I walked to the bar and spoke to the ONLY employee working to inquire. Thomas stated he did have the reservation and would be getting the cabana ready shortly, as he was filling drink orders at the moment. (The hotel was completely booked due to a concert in town and the pool Was very busy yet they only had this one man, Thomas, working). Thomas was finally able to bring waters and close the curtains to one of the cabanas but, again, due to him being the ONLY employee, I had to go up and inquire about our food. Once the food arrived, the salsa and guacamole provided was a single serving (not really shareable). The "cabana" had not fan, no mini fridge to keep things cold, no television, etc. Definitely nothing like the cabanas of other RESORTS around the valley. We finally decided to order some lunch. On a Friday afternoon, though, you must order your own lunch by using the bar phone. We never did receive the pool noodles or "frozen treats" that I was quoted as coming with the cabana. So $250 for some torn shade, chips, waters, and fruit isn't at all worth it to me. That's when I was then able to look at the pool. The pool itself also needs a renovation. Pool tiles were missing and grout was falling apart. The furniture and umbrellas were all metal. And in the Arizona heat, that gets HOT. And due to the lack of employees, another patron kindly assisted us with moving our own umbrella. Overall the room was very nice but this establishment is poorly managed and the adult pool needs a complete renovation. If the Wigwam can renovate its pools and bring it up to the standards of other resorts AND adequately Staff the pools, then I would consider staying again in the future. Until then, I'd recommend looking at other resorts if you'd like to spend any time by the pool, ESPECIALLY if you'd like a nice cabana as a reprieve from the sun. read more

We came with our travel hockey team. And the property was amazing! From the outside to the inside truly beautiful. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are large. But the showers are insanely slippery!!!! I fell getting into the shower. No soap or anything on the floor and wham down I went. Hurting my back and shoulder. I did let the front desk know and asked for a bath mat which they promptly provided. But I did miss out on the tennis courts and pool. My son on the other hand loved the pool, pickleball courts, and the fitness room. I also enjoyed listening to the live music from the patio at the art festival they had. Also got a cute little tattoo. The food did take a while to get but the portions and price were decent. Would go back but with a bath mat for sure. read more

We stay at the Wigwam several times a year. Family reunions. Weddings. Anniversaries. Birthdays. Guys golf outings. The resort never fails to deliver. Historic and beautiful. Well maintained. Just went through an upgrade. On this past stay, the new Casting option on the TV was not working properly. Quick call to the desk and a maintenance associate was knocking on the door, literally no longer than 5 minutes from hanging up the phone. This is a massive resort. That's impressive. The associate, Jesse, was professional and courteous. I am a bit of a DIY guy, so it must have been 'fun' for him to listen to my thoughts on the issue. . Jesse was considerate and did his thing. In and out and followed up to ensure our comfort. "Thank you for staying with us". Let us know of we can help you with anything else. This is just one of the many reasons we stay at the Wigwam. Had a single room booked and got a room with 2 double beds. Why would someone sleeping alone need two small beds when they could sleep in a king?!? Was told no more rooms available to move into. Got to my room after 9 pm and the dead bolt would not lock. Since there were no more rooms available they sent maintenance to my room which they proceeded to saw at the lock for 15 minutes until after 9:30 pm. Such a fun evening! Also property is noisy at 11 pm at night. For no reason. Wouldn't recommend. Outdated property and needs a lot of money put into it! read more

"The Resort Stay That Went from Relaxing to Ratatouille" We were honestly excited about this trip. The highlight? The pools--absolutely beautiful and probably the best thing about the whole resort. My family loved the pool, and the outdoor area was really nice too... but that's about where the good times stopped. From the moment we stepped into our room on Day 1, something felt off--literally. There was this awful smell--like sewage or gas--hanging in the air. We called the front desk immediately, and they said they were busy and would call back. After waiting a while, I tracked the smell to the bathroom. I ran the tub and shower, hoping it would help. Eventually, we got through to someone again and talked for a bit. In the end, we decided to stay in the room, even though the smell had totally killed our mood. Things didn't improve much. During our stay, I noticed this small drainage outlet on the ceiling above the shower. It was leaking cold water--right onto us while we were showering. At first, I couldn't figure out what it was, but later during a visit from an engineer--more on that in a minute--I asked about it. Turns out, it was AC condensation. Not dangerous, but definitely gross to have random drops of water landing on your head in the shower. By Day 3, we thought we were settling in--until we heard some barking noises. I think one of the neighbors had a dog? Not a huge deal, but kind of random and disruptive. Then came Night 4--and this is where the real nightmare began. We got back around 9 p.m. and were planning to take the kids for one last swim before the pool closed. But then... we heard a weird scratching and crunching noise coming from under the TV drawer. We called maintenance engineer and this time they found rat droppings--and then an actual huge gray rat hiding in a pretzel bag behind the drawer. The engineer tried to trap it with a bucket, but the rat jumped out and darted behind the refrigerator. At that point, my wife and I were DONE. We rushed to pack our things as fast as we could. Our kids were scared. We were exhausted, grossed out, and missed the pool that night. They moved us to another room--much smaller--but honestly, at that point, we just needed somewhere to sleep. Not that we actually slept much. I kept thinking about rats crawling around. On Day 5, I noticed the shower spray in the new room wasn't working right and the drain was super slow. Just another "lol" moment at that point. We decided to go for an early swim that morning around 8 a.m. When we came back, our room key didn't work. We called the front desk--they told us to walk back to get a new key, but with tired kids and all our pool gear, that wasn't happening. Eventually, another engineer came out after about 20 minutes and let us in. By the time we packed that day, we weren't even thinking about vacation anymore. We just wanted out. read more

The grounds of the wigwam are massive and gorgeous. So massive that it is quite overwhelming upon check in. They hand you a map at the front desk, circle where your room is and send you on your way. Luckily, they have plenty of bellmen on golf carts to get you where you need to go. After the first trip to my room, I was ok to walk - just plan extra time because the grounds are quite large! I'm glad I had coworkers to walk with at night. The room itself was very large, had a nice bathroom with beautiful tile, a private balcony with two chairs and a view to the Oasis pool (which I did not have the pleasure of enjoying - boo). The downside was that my shower handle quite literally broke off in my hand while I turned it (it went right back on and I heard from another coworker that she had the same issue). In fact, my coworker also had to get maintenance to fix her door because it would not lock. Seems like something that they would have noticed when cleaning the room ‍. Such a nice resort, it's kind of far out there so everything was a 20-40 minute drive if you want to do anything. We Ubered to dinner each night and they were readily available so that wasn't too bad. Just keep that in mind. There were a few chains closer by but we wanted more local options (I recommend the Wren & Wolf). read more

We got the Deluxe Suite which was a great room, clean, and spacious. But unfortunately the walls did not provide much privacy from our neighbors. I was in shock how little sound barrier there was for such a premium room - I literally could hear every conversation they had, every single day and night. From the first night we arrived I couldn't even sleep because they were up talking, which is totally fine for them to be doing, but extremely annoying to me and my wife who could hear every word. We travel a lot, and I'm not kidding when I say this room was the least private (noise-wise) I've ever stayed in. I almost cancelled the booking the first night and was going to ask for a refund, but because of the hassle I decided against it. It's a shame I had a one star experience here because the property is beautiful and the room was really nice otherwise, but honestly my experience was one star and I would never consider staying here again because of it. When I go to my room, I am expecting (and paying for) a certain level of privacy that I just did not experience here. read more

Our group of 7 stopped for the champagne tasting by their Sommelier, Christopher McLean, which was educational and tasty. We stayed for dinner and had a wonderful time and Amanda was terrific with her suggestions. The wine selection is outstanding and the menu covers all the food basics, and then some. Our appetizers for the table were Shishitos, Mac and cheese, corn, and mushrooms. Most everyone order the terrific sea bass. Others had the Lamb Shank and pork chops. My husband, his sister, his brother-in-law and I stayed at the Wigwam resort for four nights while attending the George Benson Breezin with the Stars guitar music camp. The Wigwam is a very nice hotel and I recommend it. This hotel provides great conference spaces. The hotel has two large very high-ceiled rooms with stages. In addition they have at least 8 decent-sized meeting rooms with relatively high ceilings, and sometimes with movable walls. The chairs in the meeting rooms and dining area are comfortable. For decades the Wigwam has been known for its excellent restaurant Litchfield's. Living 25?miles away, my husband and I have eaten at Litchfield's several times over the years, enjoying excellent but pricey meals with a pretty ambiance. We have never eaten in the hotel's bar/grill. These two restaurants share a pretty outdoor patio that provided heat lamps and at least one fire pit when we visited in January. During this visit we and the 100 other music camp attendees had buffet meals included as part of the George Benson music camp. I was expecting typical mediocre hotel buffet quality. I was very pleasantly surprised that the buffet lunches and dinners served to us attendees were very good and sometimes excellent. (The buffet breakfasts were only average.) Overall I was quite happy with the food. I do recommend having additional toasters available in the morning, and providing a wider selection of tea (black and herbal). The Wigwam got its start as an executive golf course. The golf course looks lush, green and pretty. I don't know what golfers think of it. The Wigwam is a nice place to stay in part due to the lush green landscaping, which nowadays is unusual for the Phoenix area. The Wigwam's rose bushes were full of beautiful blossoms. Geraniums and tall lilies (canna?calla lilies??) were also blooming. The resort has attractive big trees. The vegetation was manicured and well-maintained. We enjoyed walking the grounds of the resort to get some exercise. We saw a flock of peach-faced lovebirds and a peregrine falcon. We saw two swimming pools. There was an outdoor venue for weddings The resort had some attractive Christmas/holiday light displays/sculptures of cowboys, trains, lollipops, etc. The hotel was in the process of taking these down in early January. I liked walking past the colorful lighting. Our room was comfortable. It had good bedside lighting and enough charging plugs and outlets. The bed was comfortable. We had a small refrigerator. There was no coffee maker, but that was fine with me. Maintenance workers were prompt when we found out the room safe was broken. The walkin closet was large and had vertical shelving in addition to the dresser in the bedroom. There was one upholstered chair with ottoman and one desk chair. I was happy that housekeeping came every day to clean our room. I believe the Wigwam's guest rooms are scattered around the resort in two story buildings with parking extremely nearby each guest room. Our car was parked 50 feet away from our door. We saw one couple drive up to their room in their golf cart. The resort has a lot of stucco buildings and walls. Short two foot high walls often separated one room's patio from the neighboring patios. These short walls were well-maintained near the main hotel building. Our room was pretty far from the main building. The the little wall by our patio had big chucks of stucco missing and needed repair. This maintenance is something the hotel likely has scheduled. The edge of the Wigwam resort is across the street from a small commercial area. Across the street at 102 N Old Litchfield Rd is the Old Pueblo Cafe, good Mexican bar/restaurant at which we gave fined several times. The Old Pueblo Cafe has seating indoors and outdoors on a patio. We have eaten there several times. The Fall 2024 Litchfield Festival of Arts took place in November 2-3. I don't know when the Spring 2025 festival will take place. We enjoy walking around looking at the arts and crafts. It's not as big an art fair as the Tempe Festival of the Arts, but we enjoy it. read more

Just an excellent weekend and top notch staff. Pool, bars, restaurants, it's got it all.

Absolutely loved this course! The greens were smooth and well-maintained perfect for putting. The driving range was spacious and great for warming up. After the round, we grabbed food at the bar and were seriously impressed great menu and everything tasted fresh. Friendly staff all around made the day even better. Definitely coming back! read more
