I want someone who is, first of all, well-intentioned. Then well-trained and well-groomed and who has done some of the work herself. Alena is all this and more. She is intelligent, kind, experienced, creative and a very generous human being -- which all comes through in her work. I live in Los Angeles and don't see her often, but I have actually needed and received a session by telephone. I prefer in-person sessions, but I needed someone who works in an intuitive and interactive way, rather than just "scripnosis" or reading a prepared guided imagery aloud. The phone thing can be surprisingly intimate and powerful -- with headphones on, the hypnotherapist becomes literally just a friendly voice in your head.
