Approximately two and a half hours later, my check engine light came on. I returned to the shop the same day, and they scanned the code, which came back as P0430 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold). What is concerning is not just the timing, but the response I received. I was told it was "just a coincidence," and no further effort was made to inspect the vehicle. Given that this issue appeared immediately after service, I expected at minimum a basic check of components that may have been accessed or affected during the inspection, such as oxygen sensor connections or anything near the exhaust system. Instead, the concern was dismissed without any attempt to rule out whether something may have been inadvertently disturbed during service. As a customer, that lack of follow-through is frustrating and does not reflect thorough or responsible service. Additionally, my overall experience raised concerns about professionalism and honesty. During check-in, I was told that I would need new wiper blades in order for my vehicle to pass inspection. I was initially quoted $14.99 for the blades, but then the associate realized the correct length I needed was actually priced at $20. I was told he would still honor the $14.99 price, but that the receipt would show the 24-inch blades at the higher price. Being told one thing while knowingly documenting something different is concerning. Given that this kind of falsehood occurred, it raises questions about what else may not have been handled correctly during my service, including whether the correct oil was used or if something else may have been impacted. During check-in, I was also encouraged to leave a five-star review due to the number of one-star reviews the business has received. A specific complaint was even mentioned about the business not having a working phone. However, a phone number is printed on receipts, which would reasonably lead customers to believe they can contact the business by phone. That disconnect is misleading. While waiting for my vehicle, I observed staff engaging in unprofessional behavior, including using profanity and focusing more on social interactions than customer service. After paying $163, even with a $25 off coupon, I am now in a position where I still have to consult with a reputable mechanic to resolve an issue that was not present when I brought my vehicle in, and clearly was not present when the business passed the vehicle for a state inspection. I understand that the mechanical issue may ultimately be unrelated. However, the timing alone warranted a closer look, and I should not have had to push for that level of care. Combined with the lack of professionalism and questionable business practices, this experience has left me needing to seek a second opinion elsewhere, something that could have been avoided with more thorough service and accountability.

I will admit that the claim to 10 minute oil changes seems dubious but you can pretty consistently get out in under 20 minutes unless they're busy. Inspections can be slow because they only use one of three lanes for that, so you can have a line of cars waiting for inspections with two empty bays. The customer lounge is minimal, but at least there's chairs and air conditioning, and really you're not here long anyways. I've never had issues with them trying to do shady upselling like some places (air filters/wipers/etc without even checking.) All around quick and professional service and a good choice.

I decided to drop into my trusty reliable Discount Tire for a quote to action on in a few days. Turned out they could get me in and out within 45 minutes, so I just decided to go ahead and have the installation done. As usual, the customer service here was excellent. Tread depth on my current Yokohama tires was taken and confirmed, it was time for new tires. This time, because who knows how expensive tires will be in the next few years with all the nonsense, I decided to go with the most durable tires they had, so I got my first ever set of Michelin Defenders. The tech explained to me the difference between mileage rating, and actual real world miles that customers are getting. They even have their own data showing a range of what people have seen, and further break that down into a dollar cost per estimated miles rating. I love data, so this further helped sell me on the premium Michelin tires, which were expensive, but not THAT much more expensive than my usual Yokohama choices. Within 10 minutes my car was in the garage, and then 20-30 minutes later, I was on my way with that fresh tire smell. All installations are also balanced out, and the tech informed me they didn't see any kind of unusual wear on the other tires that would indicate my car is out of alignment, so he advised I could skip the alignment for now (not performed on site). I have purchased from Discount Tires my entire adult life, and see no reason to change that. Their price still beats pretty much anyone, and the service and warranty really does work here. If they don't have a specific tire in stock they will get it for you very quickly. The have great service and great prices. Tire technology, quality, and prices change over time. Their staff keeps up with it. They will take the time to educate you on all things tire related. They are brand neutral so they only want to sell you what you want to buy.

My car was hit by someone who ran a red light. Both cars were towed by Jerry Lee's Towing. I…read morewatched my car carefully be put on a tow bed, even though it was totaled I watched them clean up the parts and put them in the car. When I went to retrieve my belongings, I was asked for information as to whether or not the car belonged to me and all I had was my drivers license. They asked for registration, but of course it was in the car. The gentleman went to the car and brought back my registration. They verified it was me and my car and gave me directions on what could and couldn't be removed from the car. I had no problems getting what I needed, and they even helped me remove my car tags. Of course, I didn't have tools, because I just wanted my things. The car was parked in an accessible place. Believe it or not all the cars were parked neatly in the area...if you can refer to a bunch of banged up cars as neatly placed. While everyone who helped me at Jerry Lee's was extremely nice, I hope to never visit their place again. I only want to see them in the grocery store or in passing.
