Considering the nature of the business, these gentlemen are very well poised and very understanding especially when you waltz in there like a screaming banshee demanding that they give you your car back and accusing them of extortion.... needless to say, that wasn't one of my finest moments but I must give credit where credit is due. They they answered all my questions clearly and concisely and went over the charges line by line. I really appreciated their demeanor and once I calmed down, we had a couple laughs. That certainly isn't the easiest business, because people are usually in a panic or enraged when they come into that office.... No one ever really plans on having to pick up their car after it's been towed or impounded, however, should you find yourself in that situation with this establishment, rest assured that they will take good care of your car and give you exemplary customer service even if you verbally assault them. read more

This company is completely unprofessional. I've been trying to get in touch with them to get a parking permit for the new complex I just moved int to, so that I CAN AVOID BEING TOWED. Every time I call it's like I'm calling someone's personal phone number, they never answer with the name of their company it's always "What?" Or "Yes" which made me believe I had the wrong number the first few times. And then when I state my reason for calling them they just hang up on me. Wtf?? Having broke down on the NYS thruway in suffern, ny... a call for towing though ATT road service brought us Buckwild Towing... we were waylayed by a pot hole from hell during a snow storm, on a trip to NJ to care fop my sister. After the truck got there, which was relatively quickly, the driver was more interested in getting the car on the truck and being off with out any regard for us stranded, after i told him I was not going to let him load the car until we had a ride to safety, only then did he try to get us a cab and when it was going to be over an hour of us standing out in the cold and snow and refusing to let him load the car did he break down and call in a company service car to bring us 4 miles to the hotel and charging us $40 for the ride. For the next 4 days all we got was bull crap excuses and put offs over the replacement of 2 tires and two rims on the car. Was told repeatedly i will call you right back and let you know.... The the bill over inflated and un itemized with no identifying state licensing numbers.... a bill with the towing paid by a roadside assistance plan for two tires and two rims... 4 days waiting for the repair... was over $600 ... upon picking up my car i found out these guys are doing repair out in the open in a parking lot... no garage with lifts... a guy with a salamander to keep him warm while he does the tire change... The motto on their wall was "Excellence since 2006" was far from correct, my experence was far from excellent. Customer service is no ware to be seen in this business... In my opinion, these guys are unprofessional, over priced, evasive, trying to operate outside of their skill sets, and should be avoided at all costs... Follow up complaints are going to be filed with the local BBB and the NYS Motor Vehicles Dept. read more

Boy I wish there was a 0 star rating! To be fair I cannot comment on their towing service. But God help you if you need to deal with anyone in the office. These people are the rudest, meanest most miserable human beings I have ever encountered as a customer. I went there to get my car out of impound. They only take cash (anyone from IRS listening?) I gave them $280 for a bill of $266.39. The lady looked at me and said "you don't have exact change?" I said no so the other lady starts riffling through her wallet and purse pulling out random bills. I said I would just take $13 and not to worry about the change. She placed the bills in front of me and walked out of the office. She didn't apologize for not having a very reasonable amount of change. And she didn't even thank me for paying more than I was billed. Ok no big deal I guess. The other lady continued to work on my receipt. When she was done she handed me her personal cell phone and asked me to sign a box in the middle of the screen. I asked what I was agreeing to by signing this and she got all worked up and replied that if I didn't sign it, I would be denied my car. So I said OK signed it and mentioned that my question was very reasonable. I. dropped her phone on the counter. She firmly said "don't throw my phone at me ever again!" I replied "you people really need to work on your customer service skills". She replied "you people!?" She was a black lady and immediately put me on the spot as if I had made a racist comment. I replied "yeah you people at Buckwild!" She replied with an hmmm, mmm. Things didn't really get any better from that point and ended with her telling me to wait outside. Of course I refused. It was cold and I still needed my receipt which at this point I had been waiting almost 10 minutes for. This place sucks! This is the second negative review I have written about them in the past few years. The first was removed by Yelp for some bogus reason. Wonder how much they paid to get it taken down... Hopefully this one remains and it will help some other poor bastards to avoid these wretched and vile individuals. There are way too many tow options out there. It's Sunday afternoon I'm on Route 17 on my way to work a trade show. I have all kinds of crap in the back of my wagon when all the sudden I hear a pop, smoke starts pouring out the tailpipe. I pull over in a gas station call my insurance company, and they dispatch a towtruck. Good news, they'll tow me anywhere within 20 miles. Bad news it's Sunday afternoon in nj. Hundred percent of everybody is completely closed. I have a friend pick me up and take me to a car rental place cause I gotta run. I leave the keys under the mat and continue with my work day. Tow truck shows up from Buckwild Towing Suffern New York. Guy hooks the car up tries a couple places that look to be open from poorly constructed Google information, but no dice everything's locked up, gates closed, no room at the inn. I'm not even there so he's just driving my car around on his tow truck looking for somewhere to dump it. No dice. Finally he calls me up and tells me "you know we do light repairs maybe we can fix it". I'm like "really, Wild Buckwild Towing is going to fix my car out of nowhere on a Sunday afternoon". Hmm Well I don't have a lot of options left, so long story short we go for it. next day I get a call, they found the problem little pin hole in the oil filter that ruptured They fix it up, clean up the car, they dealt with a slow leak on one of my tires, whole thing no big deal $117. When I show up it's a full on lizard lick situation...hard to find, tucked in behind a car wash, cops in the yard in a shouting match with people looking for their impound to be released, little door, funny hostile gal working the desk, inn and out in 4 mins, 100% satisfied. I feel like this company is a rip off. Towed my truck and trailer from Target parking lot where I left it after shopping there and couldn't get back because my fuel pump on my motorhome went out 1/10 of a mile away. It was Memorial Day and left my things there at 245pm and couldn't get a ride to my truck till the next morning. They know I'm a disabled Veteran that only gets 559 dollars a month and refused to allow me my tools out of my truck worth over 1500 unless I paid 375 dollars and I only had 100 to my name. Stay away from these liars..... very unprofessional ,both towers and dispatch. I never in my life dealt with such mean and inconsiderate people. My mother who barely speaks English had to take my grandma upstairs, who is mind you way over 90 yo. when she got to the lot on Summit avenue, there was no guest parking, she parked on someone space ( which landlord said was fine ) for literally 5 minutes. came down to see her car being towed. the driver offed her to pay 150$ which I'm sure he wanted to pocket, my mother called grandma to prepare the cash. and called me so i can translate. I guess it took way too long for the driver so he didn't even bother and continues towing. when i called dispatch i got to talk to Michele, extreme mean and unprofessional woman who yelled at me and said that i was a liar. she changed her story 3 times . we didn't ask for a free pass, we wanted to pay 150 on the spot. but ended up paying 262.because according to the driver my mother first said yes to paying and then refused to pay. ( oh yeah in her broken English she did all that). Michele said she was on the speaker phone , and didn't hear me at all. While the entire time i was on the speaker phone and even spoke to the driver who screamed at me and said call dispatch i'm not allowed to talk to anyone . i wonder how she was on the speaker phone if after she said she was texting the driver. its a big schemes. they also don't take credit cards, which is the most ridiculous thing i ever heard in my life. we live in america. read more

OMG - These underworld figures deserve less than 1 star. Never in my life have I dealt with people that are so vulgar. I literally felt like I was dealing with the underworld. They towed my vehicle because it was parked in a spot that was deemed an issue. I went to pick up my vehicle and they claimed they were closed. Because they were closed, I had the honors of paying an additional $40 for an overnight storage fee, bringing my total to over $350. Of course, with underworld figures such as these, no cash was accepted, no receipt given, and I was not given an itemized breakdown of what the charges were. It goes without saying that the language used was vulgar and downright despicable. And, in yet another connection to the underworld, they refused to take anything other than cash, and forced me to sign on a document that I could not see the content, and on a personal phone, no less. A older woman at the front desk became very hostile and barbaric, when I asked her for an itemized receipt, as documentation for the bill. She demanded I pay for first, but I explained that I would like to know exactly what I am paying for. She began throwing numbers out without any sort of explanation and shouted "call the cops if you don't like it."This kind of conduct should not be appropriated for an unfortunate establishment such as this one. I get it, know one likes getting their car towed, but at least hold an adequate level of professionalism. As least as a service provider show some sort of legitimacy, which they failed to do. When I asked to speak to the owner of the establishment, she brash-fully said "he ain't no where, he getting back surgery." With winter coming, I wanted to have my three plus-year-old battery checked in my car. I stopped by Sears. They told me that I needed a new battery. The printed out test report showed that I did. I called AAA and they sent over the nearest service station to come and replace it for me. They showed up with no battery. I called AAA again and they referred Buckwild towing which was a little out of their area. Their friendly service man came and checked my battery and told me that my battery was fine, and that under ordinary use it should probably last me another couple of years! I appreciate their honesty and prompt service. Their service man was pleasant and he could have easily sold me a battery, which is what I thought I needed. Pete, our young tow truck driver, drove my teenaged daughter and me from the Bronx after we broke down their Sunday late afternoon/early evening. He was an excellent, safe driver and good communicator. He drive us about 100 miles - all the way to Rocky Hill, CT, arriving around 11:30pm. The truck was clean, had A/C, modern GPS and a USB port which he let me use to charge my phone. After other companies refused to tow us that far (through AAA Gold), this company came through to get us safely to our next destination. Take notice Rockland County Office of Consumer Protection sets the laws regarding towing fees. The laws have changed as of September 2016. If you were towed by Buckwild towing between then and now there's a good chance you were overcharged and are entitled to a refund. 845-708-7600 is the Office of Consumer Protection. You can submit a copy of your bill and they will determine if you were overcharged. Buckwild towing tried charging me $648 for impounding my van (it was in their possession overnight outdoors for 12 hours)after I unknowingly parked in the wrong assigned space in Suffern. Less than a mile tow. They tried telling me because I have commercial plates they can charge more. They were wrong and it felt good to be right. Towing is based on weight of vehicle not license plate type. After speaking to Michelle at Consumer Protection the bill was corrected to $231. There's no option to make it a zero star rating. What a terrible experience. This company has been using illegal business practices for a long long time. The rude girl behind the counter thought she knew what she was talking about when in fact she had no idea what she was supposed to be charging. And then she blamed the County for not notifying them what they're supposed to charge. Lol. I have to thank the Suffern police officer who answered the phone and gave me the website to Rockland County where the laws are written regarding towing. I'll still be forwarding a copy of the bill the Office of Consumer Protection for evaluation since I was charged $40 for a full day of storage although they only had possession of vehicle for 12hrs. Got them through AUDI roadside, they called to ask if my car starts which I said no but it goes into neutral. They told Audi I told them it doesn't go into neutral and that there's a winching fee of $50. Audi called me to verify to which I said yes it goes into neutral. Buck wild called me back and told me they're getting their truck ready and that I have to pay them an extra $50 on the spot for winching. I've used Audi roadside 5x and never had to pay winching fee and Audi policy covers all additional fees and they advise you not to fall victim to scams from tow companies trying to make an extra buck. I told them no I'm not paying you anything outside of what Audi covered. My car wouldn't need to be put into a flatbed if it was able to be driven, how else would a car get up there if not by a winch? They then called Audi and told them that they arrived onsite and that my car wouldn't go into neutral and that I refused the winching. They never came. They weren't near my location ever as only 2mins passed from when they first called and told me they were getting their trucks ready and should be leaving within 5mins.
