You will get this pretentious attitude by some kid that will try and sell you the oldest, moldiest weed and tout it as the best best, what they smoke. The people who work here are nice, but when you compare it to the other shops in the area it is not keeping up in terms of the competition. Uncle Ike's is tight around the corner and they offer amazing deals every day including a discount off their online orders which budnation does not. They've stopped offering their vendor days and when I asked why or when it would resume they said they had no plans to resume it. Seems crappy to take value away from your customers and not feel obligated to replace it. Their selection could use work too. They have a lot of lower end products that you can get on a budget but not a lot of higher end product at competitive prices. If I know I can get the same or better weed for a lower price right around the corner, what is budnation offering that would convince me to shop there instead? read more

We visited this place while in Seattle. Being the fact that WA is recreational legal, we decided to check it out. The experience was awesome.. we were there for a good half hour and they were so helpful and pleasant. They explained everything so well to us and I liked how the store was laid out.. everything was easy to find and visibly attractive. Awesome job Bud Nation and your staff!! I've never left a yelp review but this place motivated me enough to warn others. I occasionally visit this place due to their convenient location, which is the only positive aspect of this establishment. Let me start with a shopping list of issues I have with this place. 1. All products are behind glass and employee's are not allowed to touch them. If you want to know how much cannabinoids are in the current product, good luck! If you ask an employee, they seem genuinely upset by your request. I asked an employee if I could see the back of the product to see the percentages of cannabinoids, to which she replied "there is no information on the back". This seems counter intuitive given the law requires these labels according to WAC 314-55-105. 2. Employee's hover over you in an attempt to give you friendly one-on-one experience. This however comes off as a little creepy as they stand really close to you offering unhelpful insight into strain selections, such as "Yeah Pandora's box is good, don't want to open that!". Consistently their employees show a lack of useful knowledge beyond "it gets you high!" 3. When you decide on a product to purchase, they walk into the back and grab you what you ask for without offering options for choosing which specific package you would like. If you got to ANY other establishment in the city, they all offer you different choices on the same product you want because some people like big nugs. Every time they have to go into the back to get a product to show you or to give you choices, they seem extremely irritated that you're not making their job easier for them. 4. Prices here are insane to say the least. Some products do not have listed prices and other products have prices that highly fluctuate on weekly basis. The prices are incredibly high if you want any quality products. Seasoned smokers here know what brands and strains are the best. This place marks up these prices by almost double on the same products you can literally purchase down the street. 5. The menu. The selection is sub par at best and what good selection they have is completely overpriced. They never update their online menu and when the menu is updated, it is completely inaccurate. You can go into the store for something specifically after seeing it on their online menu and then not find it in stock there. When you ask an employee what the deal is with the online menu, the topic is quickly changed with no answer offered. So I used this place on occasion because of the convenient location and the straw that broke the camel's back here is that I bought some wax here yesterday that is toxic. I've bought this wax a few times before without an issue. It looks & smells great. When I take my dab it tastes like sulfur and leaves a thick residue on my nail. It's obvious the growers tainted the plant with sulfur and when they realized the bud is ruined they decided to make wax out of it hoping no one will notice. This is unethical and dangerous to ones health. I will never go back to this place. read more

This place is a straight-up criminal enterprise. I had been shopping in there since they opened and noticed a rapid decline in service and product. Red Flag #1: The staff seem completely bothered when you come in or ask questions, and are very clueless about there store. Red Flag #2: I have purchased product that looked opened and light in weight, upon weighing at home, I've been cheated several times. Once an eighth was a full gram short, and upon inspection I found the label had been peeled off and resealed. This has happened more than once. Red Flag #3: frequented by thugs and gangsters that used to hang out when it was the pot farmers market, AKA Black Market Weed Distribution Center Which brings me to RED FLAG #4. I used a bank card (that had not been used in MONTHS) for the first and only time in the ATM machine, it was skimmed and my bank account cleaned out within 24 hours. The fraud department agreed: it had to happen there. So, I will stand FIRM on my assertion that this place is a front for criminal enterprise, is a stain on the community, and gives weed smokers a bad rap. AVOID, let it cave in on itself. read more

I've been to this location a few times because it's close to my place. I only go in when I can't go to my normal shop and I consistently leave dissatisfied. The flower in their cases constantly looks dry and very unappealing and it's hard to read the label due to their small print and the way they're stored in the cases. The prices are fairly standard and at times they have decent deals. My largest complaint by far is of their staff. When entering I'm looked at as an inconvenience. I have never felt like a valued and appreciated customer and I always feel as if I'm bothering the staff by asking questions. The other night I asked the woman who greeted me if they had any deals and she pointed me to one case saying they had a few discounted flowers there. While I looked around the shop I saw signs for multiple other deals and promotions that the staff member clearly didn't know about. I looked at some pre rolled joints and asked what they used to achieve the cherry flavor the joint came with and she clearly had no idea saying "It's probably in the oil they use." After asking her if tax was included in the price she said "Uh no the price is as marked" (which didn't answer my question at all.) I won't be coming back to Bud Nation because I've always left feeling that the staff know nothing about the products they are selling. I'll stick to my standard shop with knowledgeable staff in SoDo. read more

This place ripped me off to sell me some bullshit item they call a vape. I purchased a bud nation hand held vape about a month ago. I asked specifically 3 or 4 different times, whats your return policy? "We can't give you cash back but you can return it for something else in the store or a new one.." "and we do not give receipts, just bring all the parts back and were good." Comes 3 weeks later I find its not a very good vape and I just don't use it. So I bring it back in and they say "nah bruhhhh... We never said that yada yada yada.. We don't do returns." Me thinking, "really?" "We can give you a new one but I can't help you if you don't like the vape." Vape was perfectly new barely been touched. They wouldn't return it, like they said they would. Bad business all around and your employees aren't on the same page. Spends thousands of dollars at this shop and all I get it is a "Nah bruh...." from a lazy cashier. Whatever won't be going here ever again. I guess this is why everyone chooses origins. Origins is more professional and way better. Just a few miles away id recommend going to them. Sold me a defective vape battery, came back with the receipt to see what can i do and was basically told im out $30. Also when i checked the price sticker 1 hour before deciding to come back and purchase it, it had a $25 price sticker on it, im not kidding, these guys literally switched the price tag and increased it by $5 within 1 hour WTF!? 1 hour prior to purchasing it was only $25, even online the Ccell Batteries are $25. I like this place but their policy on their receipt says i can ATLEAST exchange it for the same item, they didnt honor their policy so thats why my reviews negative. Honor youre policy. Ever since he moved to their new location they have been moving away from the spirit of customer service. It seems more and more like you're buying weed from a drug dealer who has a horrible attitude rather than a place that dispenses recreational marijuana for pleasure. The guy Demetrius was very rude the last time I was in. He refused to take the order of people in line and asked if he could let somebody cut me inline. When I said no I would like to be served next he opened up the cash register and took the person behind me instead of the next person in line. When I called him out on it he was very rude and combative and told me to just fill out a comment cards saying that I hated him. Also it's not uncommon to have people walking through with loud inappropriate rap music playing. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in high school when I'm there walking on eggshells not to piss off my dealer. I've gone to several other stores since then and they have a completely different atmosphere. Very disappointed and Bud Nation as I've been going there for over a year and spent thousands of dollars on their products. Shame. read more
