Long term customer who won't be visiting again for a long time - worth the extra few minutes to drive to Agate Dreams. Have a badly malfunctioning disposable vape pen half full. Purchased perhaps 6 weeks ago. Overheated when charging, now won't charge. Person was uninterested, rude and unhelpful since I did not have a receipt even though they could have looked my account up on the computer. Quality of staff has declined. read more

The owner is a classic example of an old white man exerting his power and pull to oppress a young local brown laborer. Sometime ago I attempted to return some valves I purchased for my volcano. It turns out that they were only bags and valves, they had no reservoir included. So, they were essentially useless to me. The owner, who spends most of his time manning the headshop portion of paper and leaf, at first told me that the box containing six individually packaged valves was unsellable. The box was undamaged from the previous day, when I purchased it after work, save for a sticker I slit in order to open the tab on the box. I did not even touch any of the individually packaged valves for I saw no reservoir in the box. So, after much debate he decided he would take the valves off of my hands for a fee. This fee was approximately 30% of the total cost of the item which I had no choice but to take. I commented that I work hard for my money by building and remodeling houses and that this small mistake, I had made the day prior, was costing me a whole hour of work. Today, I entered the bud tending section of paper and leaf as I have done countless times... You see, I was hit by a car when I was young. And I have regularly used marijuana, along with acupuncture, massage and chiro in order to combat the pain I have from my fused neck. I had perused the selection of ounce sized flower and decided on one that was in my price range. I walked over to the ATM to withdraw the money to pay for it and one of the clerks, who I am familiar with, informed me that the owner told them never to sell anything to me. I explained my innocuous story of frustration to them about me and the owner and the valves. Then I exited the establishment. This is certainly not the first time that I have had old white men take advantage of me but it will most definitely be the last time I take it lying down. read more

Today I went in and the young woman who helped me was simply rude (the one with the purple or blue hair and matching eye shadow). I'm really bummed my #1 favorite weed store has changed. They used to have knowledgeable budtenders who actually talked to you about their products and help you find what you need. (I'm an in/out kind of person - just want to find what I need and be in my way). My last 2 experiences (during COVID quarantine): 1) phone order - asked for pesticide free flower and gave them a price threshold. I let them to select for me and I drove in for curbside pickup. Once home, I checked labels and 3 out of 4 packs had pesticides. I thought - hey I'll let this slide because I wanted to be flexible. 2) I called in with similar request - after a couple minutes on the phone trying to select just ONE option of pesticide free flower (1 oz), the salesperson says hey it's getting busy here you'll have to call back later. Tells me to check their website. But the website has NO real info or descriptions of the weed they sell. And no pesticide info. So how do I find out about the product if no one will talk on the phone? Honestly even before the Quar, they were rushing people, trying to up sell constantly, and are no longer friendly. If you don't want top shelf they have no time for you. The budtenders are just cashiers now. I have been loyal to P&L even though they are more expensive than a lot of stores because of service and wanting to shop local. Service is no longer a priority for them, so I'll stop recommending them and just shop elsewhere. Plenty of shops to choose from out there. read more

This is absolutely the worst retail cannabis business in Kitsap County. Very inconsistent product. Merchant will not stand behind its products. Purchased a defective product. Returned the next day. Merchant refused to return or exchange because 1 of the three components, battery, tested fine so they could not return. Of course the product is worthless unless each component works. Anyway, there are so many shops in the area. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this business. read more

Maybe spend less time talking with friends and more time attending customers? Needed to buy a considerable amount of hemp-based pain relief products because of severe arthritis. Walked in, looked around, needed advice, but the employee was way too busy talking to a person hanging out at the counter (he was definitely not in the middle of a transaction). I waited... and waited... but was never asked if I needed help. The employee just was focused on his personal conversation - I never even had a chance to interject. I realize that the atmosphere is 'chill', but seriously, don't you want to sell product? Looks like its been over a year and a half since the last review - maybe staff has changed? Maybe an off day? In any case, I never was able to buy product (which I am sure is fine), but instead drove over the bridge to another dispensary. read more

Having explored most of the stores around Puget Sound, I can tell you that Paper and Leaf offers the best cannabis buying experience of them all. Not only do they carry the highest quality fresh flower produced by skilled, apex level growers but they also maintain a clean, comfortable store with a modern class, a relaxed friendly atmosphere and tantalizing selection of ganja strains cleverly displayed at eye level. If you dont like standing in a lineup quarantine waiting to get to the register where then are pressured to make an uninformed selection quickly.... try P&L, they are different. If you are more concerned with the quality of your favorite cannabis products than finding the cheapest - go to P&L...they got fire! Great attentive and competent customer service beats fast rushed service, every single time. As soon as I walked through the door I knew I wasn't in a typical retail pot shop. I was first greeted by a gentleman with direct eye contact, who stated his first name, then encouraged me to look around, and to please ask if I had any questions. And, he didn't miss a beat as other customers came through the door, as he also greeted each with direct eye contact, letting them know the same, and he stayed present and attentive, with a keen ability to read the customer and to anticipate what they were looking for. He was very professional and very knowledgeable about the available products. It always makes the shopping experience easy when there's someone available to ask for help in finding that right product, rather than just watching from behind a glass wall. My first impression was not only that he is very good at what he does but that the store is very nicely layed out. This place is very nicely displayed. Well organized and clean, with beautiful custom natural wood display cabinets. The layout is comfortable and relaxed, with a similar familiarity to strolling through the aisles of any retail store, where you are able to compare similar products with price comparisons, but Paper and Leaf does it with an elegance of meandering through a museum, viewing masterpieces hung on the walls protected behind a glass case and these glass cases themselves are just as beautiful as the art it's protecting. It's very nice, and it really helps the customer to compare different manufacturer's products by name, of which are all clearly priced, nicely labeled, and displayed in well-lit display cases. Great layout, great people, great service, and great products, a great experience! This is not your typical retail pot shop. This is a five star cannabis retailer, and what I truly appreciate about the whole experience was not just how organized this place is, but unlike a lot of other retail stores where there's one long line, with just one budtender, with all the product hidden from view behind either a poorly lit display case or not in view at all, I felt more involved in making an informed decision, after being able to see what was actually available, and the overall experience was made better when I was able to get needed answers to make a more informed purchase of the right product from a true professional. These guys are amazing, superior customer service and an amazing selection, and I love how often they update there online menu, i would give 5/5 stars but I know they mark there products up a good 10-15% more then any shop in Seattle which kinda stinks since I know they don't have to be doing that but overall way better then agate dreams or anything in the kitsap area read more

I love this place so much. It was such a better experience than Evergreen Market. It was well-organized and the set up was gorgeous. They have a pick-up and drop off service which is a huge plus! Especially when you want to go from Seattle over to Bainbridge Island without a car and/or get picked up from a restaurant. They were so accommodating! My bf and I were helped by Dan. He was incredibly knowledgeable and so patient! I would love to come back soon! They have prices already in view with really awesome personal boxes. This place is awesome!
