First- I called a couple other shops first and they could not see me within the span of several weeks. I get it, busy days. Then I called Rush's. From the moment the phone was answered I was treated like family. The woman who made the appointment was the kindest person- I felt like I had called my aunt! Then I was an hour late for my appointment. I had written the time down wrong- totally my fault. They accommodated me instantly anyway and had no issue or attitude with me! It looked pretty sinister, and I had no idea how or what had happened and how costly it would be to fix - needless to say, this concerned me a ton! I'm new to Steamboat, so I asked around and had two people recommend Bob Wallace's services to me. One even said, that he was, by far, the best mechanic in town. Right off the bat, I liked Bob. He was super friendly, plus his shop was neat and orderly and both he and the employee I met were courteous and attentive. I had no idea how long it would take to diagnose the problem, but I brought my 2017 Audi wagon there and hoped for the best. Within an hour, I got a message from Bob that the car was fixed. The wire was actually a hose and a wire that had been dislodged from the frame of the car. Bob put it on the lift, cleaned it up in and around the bracket anchor and got it put back together securely. When completed, he texted and even explained what happened by showing some before and after photos. When I came by later to pick up the car, Bob would not take any money for the work that he did, which just blew me away! Not only did this guy do great work, but he was quick, thorough, and did an amazing job. I would recommend Wallace Auto to anyone in or around the Steamboat area! ** Just an FYI, I did not get paid for this glowing endorsement. :)

I had a simple request; help me get back into my car that I was locked out of. My spare was missing so I had no choice but to call someone since the Steamboat Police Department doesn't unlock cars anymore since it apparently "takes away business". So I called Alpine on Sunday to see if they could help me, the girl on Sunday said that's no problem and asked what my address was. I told her and she said "unfortunately we don't have anyone in the steamboat area today. (Always there when you need us). I find this confusing because they're open for business and according to their map on the website they're located near 5th street which is 0.4miles away from my house. She said someone could help me on Monday in the afternoon, all I had to do was call back. So I did. Monday afternoon, same woman picked up the phone, I asked if someone could help me now, she said yes and said it would be just after 5pm, I said no problem. 6:30pm roles around, an hour and a half later, I'm patiently waiting for "Freddy" to show up, but I get a phone call from a new woman named Lauren, she said "we know you have an appointment and it's getting late but our driver isn't going to make it". I have an appointment and live 0.4miles away... and they can't make it?? (Always there when you need us). So Lauren asked if I would be able to do the next morning and I said had work 6am-2pm, but then she had informed me that I actually didn't have to be there, the driver could still unlock my car and just hide my car keys under the driver side floor mat. I agreed to this, even though it meant I had to take the bus to work and would be 30min late the next morning. It's Tuesday now, I got a phone call from Lauren at 1:55pm to let me know my car is finally unlocked, but the driver didn't bother to look for the key to hide it under the mat like I was promised, he just unlocked it and left. Now my car is unlocked with the keys just sitting in the ignition ready to be stolen... this is Steamboat so I'm not too worried but it's not what Lauren promised me. I got no apologies for all the delays, my keys weren't hidden like promised, and it still paid $75 for bad service. I'm very disappointed and find it hard to believe all these positive reviews are legit. I don't recommend using Alpine Towing for ANYTHING. I still don't even have my emailed receipt! (Always there when you need us).

When I got out I checked tires and front right was cupping and very worn due to us not rotating tires consistently. My bad...My whole family grandkids visiting us and I was feeling sick about taking the chance with bad tires up front. I went to his shop to get his expert opinion and he said he was slammed with jobs. I think he saw how desperate I was he said he'd slip me in and rotated and balanced my wheels in 20 minutes! Said tires were in need of replacing soon but would suffice till after holidays! He saved the day and I'll be able to sleep knowing we are safer. Jeep ran smooth and true. It's the little things that make Great Service. We are truly grateful.

And when you've got a flat a couple hundred miles away from home, you just want it fixed! So to Big O we went! The gentleman at the reception desk was very nice when we arrived and took my car straight away to be looked at. I was frantically adding in my head how much two new tires were going to cost me. C'est la vie, right? About 15 minutes after the little car was taken in, the reception desk associate came back to tell me that there was a screw in the tire, they had removed it, repaired the hole, and we would be ready to go.
