I went to the store on Sportsworld Drive in Kitchener where I bought them and was told I had to by this piece for $3 or take the blind down and bring it in to have it covered under their warranty. This is a small piece that clips on. When I pushed back a little, I was told I could have 2 parts for the price of one (hilarious). This was a part that they dug out of a plastic bin and it took almost 5 minutes to process it on their computer. THEN... It turns out the part is $4.10+tax. What a horrrible warrranty/customer service expeerience. Long story short, Blinds to Go Kitchener, I will not be buying anything else there when I go to do the rest of the blinds in my home.

He seemed like he actually cared, well it turned out my feeling was right! The process was completed in a month.. from the order to the installation and the whole time we were informed when the shutters were ordered, when they would be installed and on the day of installation they called to say they were on there way and the next day Christina called to make sure everything was acceptable and we were happy... I mean, who does that? And the product looks stunning!!! I cant say enough about the product AND the owners as well as Kirk the installer! Amazing customer service all around!!!

Hired The Door Centre to install a double door and massive window above it about 15 years ago. Did a fantastic job with a quality product that was reasonably priced. Fast forward 15 years, and one of the latches on the double door broke. Contacted The Door Centre and spoke with Rick. He got me a replacement part quickly and gave it free of charge. It's not the "free" that impressed me, it's the authentic appreciation for their clients!

They were glad to take my money, however the post sales experience was terrible. 2 major problems. First, upon door order I was quoted a 2 week delivery time however doors did not arrive until 5 weeks. No real responsibility taken other then to pass the blame to the door manufacture. Secondly, when the doors arrived, the frame they supplied did not fit into my roughed in opening. The frame width was 58.25 inches however they told me upfront to rough in a 58 inch opening as I ordered 2 26 inch French doors. This wouldn't have been a big deal if the doors had arrived on time as I was still at the framing stage however since they were 3 weeks late I had already finished the drywall, mudding and painting as I could not hold up the project for the late doors. When I called them to discuss it, Rick ( I think that was his name) took zero responsibility for the problem and essentially told me 'tough luck'. When I pushed it further and told him that I had built the framing to EXACTLY their dimensions, Rick told me it was my fault for not giving extra space and that if I wanted to avoid this problem I should have hired a contractor to do the work. I suggested to him that he send someone down to fix up the problem but he would not do that and said he would not spend any money to fix this problem. When I suggested he take the doors back and order smaller doors that would fit he said he would not do that because he would be stuck with the doors and out of pocket. The call ended with me telling him that I was going to post my experience to the internet so all could read it and he then threatened to sue me if I did. I would not suggest doing business with this company. I had planned to buy and have them install a very nice extra wide front doorway and glass in the spring (probably $6K) but obviously that wont happen now. In retrospect I assume that they probably didn't account for the 1/2 inch wooden divider between the 2 french doors (not sure what its called) when they gave me the sizes to frame in. Sounds like something pretty straight forward for someone in the door and window industry. To fix my problem I needed to rip the drywall down and cut out the stud on the one side of the doorway and move it over, re-drywall, remud and repaint. Ugh.

These guys service almost any blind and they are great!…read more We have two large "silhouette style" blinds in our front windows. The blinds are in great shape, but the mechanism to raise and lower them was broken. When we asked the firm we purchased them from 8 years ago about fixing them we were told the manufacturer was out of business so parts were not available. They told us we had to buy new blinds. When we called Blinds Are Us to get a competitive quote they suggested we first let them try to fix the existing blinds. Long story short, they fixed both blinds for less than $200 including taxes where the other guys wanted us to spend over $2000 on new blinds! Will definitely go back when we need any blinds in the future!

She advised me that he was stuck on site and that he would be contacting me. A short time later, I advised her that I had not received a call from him and that I had things that I had to get done as well. Lone behold, 3 hours later I finally received a call from Rachid, but he didn't leave voicemail. His wife advised me that he had been trying to get a hold of me many times throughout the day, which was the biggest lie of the day as well. I had the call log (or lack there of), no voicemails, no emails and no texts from Rachid. If he had been trying so hard to get a hold of me, certainly he would have left a message? Anyway, I can deal with late, but I can't deal with someone trying to pass the blame onto me when they have wasted my day for trying to put money in their pocket. Stay clear of these guys. I'm pretty sure their reviews are NOT authentic. His wife apologized and said goodbye. All that for being patient and putting up with someone's nonsense.

The biggest job I had with them was for a client who was out of the country while his renovation went on.
