We attended the recent home show last month and had a conversation with Budget Blinds regarding a blind we wanted to cover up an arched window high above the front door. Told the representative at this time what we wanted and scheduled a consultation at that time. Sales representative showed up as scheduled and I explained what we wanted. I was We wanted a shade that goes from the bottom up that was motorized. Was shown pictures of various types of fabrics to select from. Confirming what we discussed when booking the consultation would be quoted. We did NOT want a bar showing on top of the arch was made clear on two confirmations. Quote was submitted to which I accepted. The installer came this past Friday and sure enough, the product had a support bar from the top down (exposed at the break of the arch). When I questioned the installer, he said there was no way to hang this on the bottom to go up. I do understand that part. I assumed the sales representative (Linsey) would have reviewed that and confirmed that you will see a support bar in the window where the arch breaks. The installer also tracked mud in from his ladder and left that for us to clean up. When I reached our salesperson Monday morning, she offered to have him come back and clean up the mud. I informed her we did it that day and not going to leave mud on our new floors. I would suggest shopping around for customer service/knowledge and commitment to making customers happy. Demand clarity from them so it's not a "I'm sorry if I miscommunicated" or had a misunderstanding. Just speaking from my experience. Won't be using this franchise of Budget Blinds in Eugene/Springfield, OR. in the future. read more

Negative reviews are tricky. Either the person writing the review is a nut, or the business is actually bad. So, I will let you know who I am. I was a public kindergarten teacher for 37 years. I was a union rep for my school. I worked with our university's teaching program and trained more than 30 student teachers. I have done 2 home remodels working with contractors from cement workers to finish carpenters, countertops, roofing, hardwood flooring etc. I don't have problems with contractors. I respect them. And, I am not a nut. Budget Blinds Eugene Springfield is actually bad. Save yourself time, money and aggravation. Don't even read the rest of this review! Go elsewhere. But if your mind bends towards wanting the gruesome details, here they are: I needed 4 window blinds and glass door/satellite blinds. I bought premium blinds, which means they were not the slatted plastic venetian blinds typical of Budget Blinds. The cost was just under $5000. That is 50% off. Bear in mind as you read below, these blinds should have cost $10,000! --I ordered the blinds in February and the final blind was installed in July (5 months) --Billing issues took another month. So, 6 months for 4 window and 2 door blinds. --One blind arrived not working from the beginning. I reported it. I was meant to understand that these things sometimes happen, --When the replacement blind arrived it was the wrong size. I was meant to understand that these things happen. --The workmen, however, noticed that the blind they were supposed to replace was not installed incorrectly. I pointed out another one. It was also installed incorrectly. So was a 3rd blind. Every blind except the door blinds had to be removed and reinstalled. I was meant to understand that they have trouble getting good workers --A blind arrived for another window and broke within two weeks. I was meant to just understand that, too. --My original order was not what I wanted. The original blinds were incorrect. They took those wrong blinds back. However, if you sign the paperwork you ABSOLUTELY PAY FOR WHAT YOU SIGNED FOR EVEN IF IT WASN'T WHAT YOU WANTED. --I paid $884.00 for blinds THAT I DID NOT HAVE IN MY POSSESSION and were wrong, and were not installed in my home. PLUS, they charged me for the correct blind which replaced it another $668. --I called the BBB and had them help facilitate a way we could deduct the unwanted blind cost and apply the correct blind cost. --Budget blinds completely refused to do that. After all the grief of broken blinds, bad installation, wrong replacement blinds and a 5 month delay in completion, any reputable business would have realized they did a horrible job and would have at least "comped" me the cost for the unwanted blinds --I could not keep fighting. Budget Blinds wouldn't relent. So I said, if I must pay almost $900 for blinds I don't possess, then I at least want to HAVE THE ACTUAL BLINDS!. Budget Blinds agreed to deliver the unwanted, incorrect blinds to my house. --I did get $100. taken off my final total to compensate for the bad installation of the blinds. --The math was wrong on my final invoice but I caught that too, and they corrected their error. Here is the kicker. When the Head Sales Rep, Christine, brought the blinds to my house she was rudely abrupt. "Here is your service contract. Here are your blinds." was all she said. She took my final check, turned, and went back to her car as fast as she could, No word of apology for how hard things had gone. Nothing but, give me your money. My husband and I just stood there, now finally, angry at this last insult. Now, I am sure Budget Blinds will want to respond to this review with a bunch of hooey. We hired budget blinds to come out and give us a estimate during February 2022 with there half price sale. They are new to the area so we thought we would give them a try. A lady named Lacey came out to our house and wrote a order out with a bunch of numbers and name on a piece of paper and a price. We asked for Day and Night shades for our kitchen and living room. They came out to install the blinds a few weeks later. What they brought out were black out blinds only no Day part. We told the installer when he came out that was not what we ordered. He said I will put them up and they will make them right. Budget blinds were notified that they sent the wrong blinds. We received a call from Lacey arguing that that is what you ordered. We said no that is not what we ordered. She ended up hanging up on my husband. He called the store back and spoke with someone else and they said the manager would call and make it right. He called the next day around 5 pm. He was kind but said Lacey said this is what you ordered. My husband explained that is not what we wanted. The manager said lets make this right wanting another $450.00. We had already paid just under a thousand for the 3 blinds we got. My husband said that's it we are not paying more money. We had picked out 2 colors one for the Day and one for Night. We don't know why Lacey wrote it up wrong. We got screwed by this company and they don't want to make it right. read more

Probably the biggest ripoff blind company out there. We purchased battery operated skylight blinds (we were told a manual pole system would not work, which we subsequently discovered was false). Within 6 months the batteries burned out and they said they would replace them free (we can't change them because the skylights are 30 feet up). 6 months later it happened again and they charged us $75. For the next 2 years we replaced the batteries twice per year because Budget Blinds said this was not a warranty issue. The fact is they sold us a unit they knew or should have known would overheat and fry the batteries and then would not honor the problem under the warranty. We are replacing them with manual blinds and have eaten ether cost. Stay away from Budget Blinds read more

If I could leave a ZERO, I would. The new owner is a liar and refused to come out to see the issue with the shades. After filing a complaint with BBB, he continued to lie and still refused to come out. They do not honor warranties or give good customer service. STAY AWAY from this business. Danny and Hayden just left my house. While there are a few things still to finish, I was utterly delighted not only with the new film which will help keep my house from baking me during the hotter summers but also the service. They were polite, careful, cleaned up and were fun to have in my home. Danny was very thorough, pointing out a few quality issues which need to be taken care of, mostly minor manufacturing details. I am over the moon about the skylight shades which will make a HUGE difference in summer. And, I was so pleased with how well the view still delighted me with the 90 SPF film I am ordered more for the hottest room in the house, my office, which is were I spent most of my time when home. I am particularly pleased that the film has a slight silvery backing which adds additional privacy to my home. The previous owners had Budget do all their work, and luckily they still had the file. They did a great job of sorting out a logistically-challenging skylight in my foyer. The west-facing window, when it's done, is going to make a massive difference in the room heat on summer days. I can't wait to find out just how much. Very pleased with the quality and the value these changes will add, but also the difference in heating bills and overall comfort. Couldn't have had a better experience...especially these days when service is pretty bare bones if it exists at all (after the pandemic). Everyone we interacted with at the showroom, on the phone, and in our home was delightful - informative and personable. We got calls letting us know the progress of our order. (Believe me, we've been trying to get various things done at our home and no one has been doing this...until Budget Blinds.) And then Danny and Hayden came to install our new blinds and they were terrific, too. Wow, what a great team you have! And, yes, very happy with the blinds, too. I had Budget Blinds fabricate and install all the window coverings in my house when I bought it new, I was very happy with the job and the customer service. But now those folks are no longer the owners and my latest contact with Budget was terrible. I needed a restring on a honeycomb type shade and made an appointment for 2 weeks later at extra cost to have the repair done same day instead of the 5 to 10 day wait I was originally quoted. I received a call from them the day before the appointment to remind me, I removed the shade from the window drove the 15 miles across town and was there at the appointed time. Upon walking in I was informed that they no longer did same day service and will need to leave the shade there for 5 or more days because they were busy with other orders! The woman at the desk who I also spoke to on the phone was apologetic but it was clear her story was fishy, seems like the policy on repair just changed that day, needless to say I will not do business with Budget Blinds again....... i ordered some blinds during their february sale. the woman came over, measured and gave me dozens of samples to pick out. She was under stress and rushed. She gave me like 10 minutes to decide on a 1K+ order. I picked one out. She rushed out. Said the sale ended in 3 days. i paid her a 75% deposit. After awhile i called and said i was unhappy at being rushed so much. She said well you can swing by and pick something else out before monday. A 52 mile round trip. Swing by? i did. Some 6 weeks later i called them. They came out and installed them. One blind did not fit well. The installer said they would get a replacement. 6 more weeks. i didn't hear from them. I called. They said the replacement was there but i had to pay the remaining balance due before they would come out. I said no. You install the replacement and i'll pay. They made an appointment for 6 days out or so. When the lead installer came out, he said he'd cut the original one down. That's when the poop hit the fan. I was lied to the whole time. For NO good reason. Man, i hate it when people lie to my face. The blind got cut, works fine now but does not excuse them from lying and for no reason as i said. Pathological. read more

I bought Budget Blinds for my house when we built it eight years ago and am so happy that I did! They provide a quality product and professional service at a fair cost. Their senior technician was out today doing a "tune-up" on my blinds. He was fast, courteous and did a great job. My blinds are working and looking like they are new! read more
