DONT USE THIS GUYS! I ordered two 20 yard dumpsters. one I filled to the top with three branches, old bushes and some garbage to the top. What ever didn't fit i put in the second dumpster, couple weeks go buy they charge me extra $500 for having 6 extra tons in each dumpster! 24000 lbs really? My experience has been a nightmare. 1st off I schedule my dumpster pick up the day of the rental. They didn't show up so I called and was charged a late fee. Whatever. STAY AWAY. This business is a scam. It's bait and switch. I two dumpsters at two different locations and for two different projects at ~$354 each. Both times and weeks after the initial rental date, they hit me with almost identical overcharges of $180 on each rental. They set the weight limit in such a way to guarantee overages. An average person has no idea what the dumpster would weigh when loaded. It's just their business model to charge for extra weight every time. How can two dumpsters with two different remodeling jobs with different materials get almost identical overage charges? I'm disputing the charges with AMEX and considering starting a court case to challenge this shady business practice. The dumpsters were not overfilled. They won't haul it away if it's too full anyway. If an almost full dumpster will come in overweight every time, why not be more upfront about the final price. I am a flooring contractor and I rent dumpsters for my project on a monthly basis. Since I wasn't able to rent a dumpster from a company that I always rent from, I called Budget Dumpster and ended up renting from them. 1. They are more expansive 2. YOU have to remind them to come and pick up the full dumpster, meaning its your job to to their job and schedule a pick up, even though you rent the dumpster for 10 days. 3. Four weeks later I received a additional bill, because Budget Dumpster claims that I had exceeded maximum wight limit. As a contractor I always rent bigger size dumpster than needed, I ONLY throw in carpet, pad, some hardwood boards and thats about it. I never exceeded weight limit on any other project and this project was the same, when the dumpster was picked up it was at least 1/4 empty. I regret renting from Budget Dumpster since I was forced to pay more, schedule a pick up and now pay even MORE. This company (Middle man) will find ways too charge you more so that they can make an extra buck. Poor business model. Go with your local dumpster rental company, they will take better care of you and your rental needs. Update: I just received a private message from a customer who used Budget Dumpster and she obviously had a similar situation (coincidence? - I dont think so) this is what she wrote: "We just had a similar experience and upon further research (my calling Waste Connections who actually delivered and picked up the dumpster) we were able to determine that they were charging us for the wrong dumpster. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. They are deceptive and will price gouge you given the chance. Most roll-off services I've used stick to a standard weight limit for their different boxes. This outfit sets their limits way under the standard and then when you over fill, by their standards, they will charge you out the rear for it, nearly the exact same price as the roll-off cost you but a fraction of the tonage. I wish that I could rate lower than one star. Been a California Licensed Contractor since 1982 and I've never had a worse experience. Was promised the dumpster for Thursday June 27th(by email). When it wasn't there by late afternoon, I called. Found out they all go home in Ohio at 4:00 PM California time. Stayed until 7:30 before giving up. Got them on the phone the next day(June 28th) and was promised delivery that day but they couldn't tell me a time but promised to call before they closed if there would be a problem with delivery. No dumpster and NO CALL!!!! Finally arrived Sat 29th mid afternoon but without the promised one hour delivery warning phone call. Dumpster looked nothing like pictures on their website. It was a piece of junk held together by repeated welding. They tell you not to call the phone number on the side of the dumpster to request pick up. There was no phone number on this dumpster only a lot of graffiti. Got it loaded and emailed on July 2nd for next day pick up. When I called the 3rd to make sure my tarps were left behind it was confirmed that the 3rd was my pick up date. Didn't happen nor on the 4th nor on today, the 5th(as of 4:00 PM when we left). Was told on one of my many calls that their dumpster delivery service(They don't own the dumpsters. It's independent contractors. Sort of like Uber for dumpsters.) claimed that they had 5 days to honor the pick up request. That was the first that I'd head of that. Even their "Terms and Conditions" which come AFTER you pay didn't mention that. By they way they call this an "Invoice" and attempts to bind you to their terms. But since you're already paid before you see it, I think it's trash at least under California law. I may find out in local Small Claims Court if I have time. Their terms basically say no matter how badly Budget Dumpster screws up, it's the customer's fault. Am glad top see that most reviews agree with mine. Sean, whoever you are, don't bother to apologize. The time for that is long past. I ordered a dumpster with this company and they charged me a fee for cancelling it 20 minutes later. They couldn't guarantee a time so I made a couple more phone calls and got another dumpster earlier. I called to cancel and they said they cancelled it but that it would be a charge for doing so. When making the order I do not remember them mentioning anything about a cancellation fee, I might have missed it through the 100 other things they throw at you. Would not recommend them at all. Many more companies that have better customer services and make everything very clear. Do your research, I hope this helps someone. read more

Moral of the review/story - DO NOT USE BUDGET DUMPSTER RENTAL. Go direct with a local contractor. It will save you a ton of money and headaches. If I could rate their service with negative stars, I certainly would. I initially started the conversation with the customer representative a month in advance to discuss a specific application. Dropping a dumpster off by 7 am and picking it up at 5 pm the same day. I was given a guarantee that they could make this work as long as I provided them with at least a week of advance notice. Upon providing them with over a week notice, they back tracked on all the guarantees and fought me at every turn. Instead of having the dumpster for a whole day to load an excessive amount of material, the dumpster was dropped off at 8:30 and picked up at 2:30. I lost about 3 hours of time that I needed to finish loading the dumpster. As a result I was not able to complete the job. I had multiple calls with representatives and their supervisors to no avail. Nothing was corrected and nothing was done to attempt to resolve the problem. Additionally, they will not let you speak with anyone above a supervisors level to get resolution. They also charge your card for overages without providing you invoices to document the charges or gaining approval to make the charges. read more

It was not communicated to me on the phone that I needed to have the parking lot cleared from 7am-7pm. I don't understand why they bothered to ask me when I want it delivered if they are going to come at any given time... and then just drive away if it's not clear... and then charge $150 fee. They should have been more clear about this specific detail, but that company would rather argue for 25 minutes on the phone, and collect a fee, than to admit to their lack of communication. The contract with fine print was sent a day after the reservation and payment was made. If I had known when I made the reservation that we needed the parking space cleared at 7am I would have been sure to have it clear. I had a terrible experience with this company. They do not include local licensing fees when they quote your dumpster, even if you put in your area code, so they started out by charging $75 more than their advertised quote. Next, they delivered the dumpster on the wrong date and charged me a $150 trip fee because there was a car in the way. Between the local dispatch and their national office, it took 10 phone calls to get this corrected. After all this I got another bill from them 6 weeks after our dumpster was returned because they claimed it was too heavy. Thus far they have not provided any evidence to support their claim but they kept our card information on file and charged it anyway. We put no stone or any other extremely dense materials in the dumpster and didn't fill it over the top. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a waste company and will never use them again. read more

Ordered the largest dumpster they had. Asked specifically about rules regarding dumpster. After ordering pickup I was told that trash had to be even with top. Really something that should have been discussed when we rented the dumpster. Even though it is not much over we now have to go back and unload part of the dumpster. Our contractor on site ordered 2 dumpsters from someone else and they were able to load their dumpster 4 feet past the top! And they were cheaper. Don't waste your money. Wanted to rent a dumpster for this weekend with dumpster to be delivered Saturday morning. The customer rep said they don't deliver on Saturday. Ok, what about Friday? They said they could not guarantee when it can be delivered. I have a time set up for when I can get people to help with my project. They can not even tell me when they can deliver it?? If I could possibly leave less than one star, I would. Things went wrong from the initial call where I was promised that I would be able to get a rolloff on Monday morning for my workers to win the company claim to call me on Friday to let me know that services won't be available for Monday. No one left a voicemail message and no email was received. The company seem to make it my fault that I wouldn't have their services and did all they could to prove that they tried to reach us to let us know that services would be available. I called to see where my dumpster was in the morning and had one of the representatives let me know that they call dispatch to see where my rolloff was just to find out when I called back later to Learn that there were no services to be rendered at my address. When I call to find out more details I was met with very rude customer service representatives and even more rude manager who made it a point to over talk myself and my wife, not accept any thoughts for her organization, and made it our responsibility for the fault of not having their services. I rented 3 dumpsters from them and asked that all three be placed in grass to not damage my asphalt driveway and all three were placed in driveway damaging my driveway from February and still no resolution from them. Also my card has been charged for additional charges 3 separate times and after inquiring about it they said overage charges and I told them I knew exactly what went in those dumpsters and there was not way possible that there was overages. The dumpsters fill with rain water and I inquired about it and was told they drain but they didn't. I told them I shouldn't be responsible for water weight but again no response from them. I have no idea where everyone is getting their information from. This company is only out to make money. So much so in fact they believe that if they cannot deliver a dumpster because of unforeseen forces, they will charge you a fee, or a cancel fee. They will not try to work it out. If you live in Boston this is one to avoid. The permit application is a nightmare as they are not bonded with the city. Took me multiple trips to sort out while they gave me another dumpster rental name to use and faxed authorization papers. How do they not know this? Absolutely horrible experience with Budget! I am a contractor and I will never use this company again. Ordered a 20 yd dumpster that was supposed to be for clean fill concrete. Told them how I would have roughly 5 tons of concrete to dispose of. They sent me a regular (not concrete) dumpster and told me there is $85 charge per ton over 6 tons. Well turns out their trucks can only lift 6 tons and the concrete was a little thicker than expected. Truck was not able to pick up dumpster. They then billed me an extra $150 for the trip even though it was their fault for not bringing the correct dumpster/truck in the first place. Unacceptable! I've experienced better" for the following reasons... 1) dumpster was not clean and empty when delivered to the house; cakes of mud in the bottom oozed out onto the ground in our driveway when it rained; the dumpster still had residual trash from a prior job when it was delivered to our house. 2) The contract was not customer friendly... lot's of "gotcha clauses" with extra charge fees... a cause for concern. read more

They provide a great service for a reasonable fee. I was happy with their delivery and pickup and of course, the bin was serviceable. The only thing that they might improve on is providing a window of time for pickup and delivery. When you have to hire people to load it, it would be most helpful if we had a day and TIME for delivery instead of just a day - possibly having to wait all day. Also, I knew we wouldn't need the bin for more than a day, but they wouldn't let me schedule a pickup until after delivery and then their first available pickup date was almost a week out. I ended up with a full bin sitting in my driveway for much longer than I needed or wanted. read more

First of all, they delivered the wrong size dumpster (but tried to charge us for the larger one), then dinged us for daily charges because WE have to call them for pick up (even though they KNOW the pick up date). They are also trying to charge us for an "overage", saying we had more than one ton in the dumpster. Hard to fathom when it was all brush and branches. So, they might seem lower priced initially, but will try to nickle and dime you in the end. Keep an eye on your credit card. read more

This company is a rip off at best I wish I would have read the reviews before I used these crooks. First I paid for my 3 dumpster to the tune of about 900.00 and then Two weeks later I receive a charge on my credit card for 700.00 more dollars because they said the dumpster was over it limit. So I call them and I ask for a explanation and was told that my dumpster was over the limit and I said If that was the case the stuff would have been failing out of the container and how was I supposed to know it was over . I was told not to fill the dumpster to the top and we didn't. I also ask is there a scale to weight the dumpster when the truck driver picks up dumpster and there is not . Rental prices were great, and the rental length is up to 10 days, (as opposed to most other companies, which are only 7 days). Their rental agents were EXCELLENT. But... they don't give a window of potential delivery in advance. On the day of my delivery I called to see when I might expect my drop-off. The dispatch person rudely told me that there was NO chance of any estimate of it's drop-off time. I was inanely told that the drivers couldn't "call from their trucks, as driving and talking on a cell phone is illegal". (Really? It's 2017. A time estimate couldn't be given in any other way? [Those might include a hands free cell call/ Calling before leaving the yard for the delivery/ Dispatchers keeping track of truck movement...]). There was no attempt to assist, until I angrily contacted a manager to assist with the problem. Another issue was that the unit wasn't picked up on it's prescheduled day, which might very well have been a problem, (as that was when my city permit expired on that day). It was, though, picked up the day. OK, would probably rent from them again. But, I would probably contact the manager, (Andrew, who was helpful in my case), to be sure the same problems wouldn't reoccur. read more

I was very pleased with my experience with Budget Rental. I contacted my local disposal company to ask if I could get a dumpster delivered the following day (a Saturday) as I was unable to order online for a weekend date. The woman asked me what type of work I was doing and when I explained removal of landscaping, she told me I needed to get the more expensive 10 yard dumpster ($100 more than the 20 yard) because of the type of debris. I called Budget Dumpster and rented a 20 yard dumpster which was perfect for the project, received a $5 discount from a coupon code (I know it is not a lot, but every little bit helps) and clear instructions on delivery. The salesman said he would have the driver call me, but advised he could not guarantee the driver would. I appreciate the honestly and the effort to make it happen. The driver did call at 6a on his way to deliver. The ironic thing is that the dumpster was from our local disposal company. I called the following Monday to have it picked up on Tuesday and it was gone on Tuesday. I had no issues, no problems and appreciated the ability to deliver on a Saturday (which seems to be rare). Hands down, the worst company I've ever had to deal with! I am the last person to write a bad review but this has to be done. For those of you who don't know, this is a 3rd party rental service who hire small local companies to provide dumpsters at a jacked up rate. Not only do they not screen these companies, they will not allow you to contact them directly. I had a 30 yard dumpster delivered to my property In September. The dumpster was delivered with absolutely no issue in the back yard during a pretty heavy rain. After 1 week, the dumpster was filled with demo debris. I called for a pick up and explained to the customer service rep at Budget Dumpster the path the driver needed to take in order to retrieve the dumpster safely (the same path taken to deliver it). 1 week later, I arrive to my property to find the dumpster still there and my driveway field stone wall knocked down! Not only did the driver decide to ignore my directions, we just backed his truck right through my wall, nowhere near the path he needed to take, and managed to get stuck in the mud! To make matters worse, the driver walked onto my neighbors property without their permission and stole a wheelbarrow and filled it up with gravel from their driveway to use for traction to get his truck out! To top it all off, Jeff from Budget Dumpster tells me he doesn't believe me and they charge my card $300 because they were unable to pick up the dumpster. I will spend the rest of my life ensuring no one uses this service again! I will also be filing a case with this company in small claims. read more

She asked me specifically what I needed and went in to detail about her company and what they have to offer. I was very pleased with her response and how she got the dumpster I needed to me asap. BEWARE BEWARED!!!! Let me first start with I DO NOT complain about minor things, I'd rather send postitive vibes but OMG. Reserved and paid for a dumpster to be delivered on a Friday for an above ground pool to be dismantled and a new one put up. Friday 5:00 p.m NO dumpster NO call. We called multiple times nobody had a clue where the dumpster was or if it was coming. Saturday morning no dumpster.. called CLOSED. Closed on a Saturday with a paying customer depending on a delivery. I called our local company and they had one delivered within and hour, the guy was so pleasant and eager to help me out, offered me a discount for paying cash. I send emails to cancel my delivery and to credit my account and made a phone call. They said sorry we'll send you and invoice and credit. The day is almost over here still no call no email no refund. I emailed corporate and someone there DID respond and say I was emailed the refund invoice. I was not. I just feel there is no empathy for screwing people over this often. My pool, windows etc. would haven been all over my yard if I had not been able to contact another company. Don't ever open a company and name it "budget" anything. Just shouldn't be this much work. These types of businesses are to make your life easier. read more

Budget Dumpster did not provide any means of determining the weight of the material placed inside, only volume, yet they charge for an overage which the user has no way of monitoring. If I had time, I would consult with the DA as to whether their methods constitute "Flat Rate," as claimed in their advertising, or "Cost Plus," which is how they actually do it, and the consumer has no way whatsoever to determine when the maximum weight limit has been reached. If I ran my business this way, I would be very, very afraid.The customer has no choice but to take their word for it, and in no way is this "Flat Rate." You would be better off just going to another company that might quote $20 more, but at least you know you won't be getting another bill some time down the road. This company offers bait and switch tactics - at least in Denver. They offer a dumpster and then tell you in the fine print they will bill for over 4 tons. Fine, why don't they tell you that verbally when ordering the dumpster? What's worse is that they over bill for overages. We used 3 dumpsters from them and got way over billed for the 2nd dumpster (5+ tons). Contractor actually put MORE debris in first dumpster (ie, more weight) but their weight slips showed differently! To top it off, my credit card has been billed two times since the last dumpster we used without my authorization. It was for a different address than the property we ordered the dumpsters for. They eventually caught their error over a period of a month but not until my credit card was billed two times. They have no integrity as a company. Avoid this company. They lure you with seemingly low price but they set wait limit so low that there is no way you will not be over the limit. Then they hit you with extra charges.
