After booking an elite vehicle in the Tesla class I arrived at the airport counter 45 minutes before my pickup time as my flight arrived early. The counter agent very rudely told me she could not help me and I had to sit and wait until midnight. After waiting nearly an hour, and dealing with a 30 minute check-in process (so now we're at 12:30) I was sent out to a Kia. I certainly didn't spend $150 for a 1 day car rental to have a Kia. When I went back to complain about the vehicle I was sent out to a Hyundai. At that point it was after 1am, I was frustrated with the lack of customer service and complete rudeness of the staff so I left with the vehicle. Beings it was late night there was no customer service line open to call for assistance, and they refused to give me a car in my class or higher. I had to take the cheap car or have no vehicle so I was forced into this. Totally unacceptable. Did an online rental of a 12' Moving Truck to pick up at this location. I chose this location, which was 25 minutes away from me, due to the reviews by fellow Yelpers and I'm glad I did. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a few people in line ahead of me but the line moved quickly. Ryan was working the counter and was very nice as well as helpful. He explained that they didn't have any 12' Trucks at this location and an Enterprise representative should have called with a 24 hour notice of that. I never received a call but Ryan said they had 15' for the same price available. He drew up the paperwork, wrote down my license information, gave me the run down on how to return the truck and I was out of there in no time. Then I did the walk of the truck to check for damages with Louis. Louis didn't speak, at all. He walked around, turned the vehicle on/off, jotted stuff down on the paper and then handed it to me. No words were ever spoken out of his mouth during this. So I asked questions like could I open the back gate, what these marks on the paper referred to, etc. He answered all my questions, was polite about it and what not, just weird that he initially didn't converse with me. I noticed that Louis missed writing down the damage on one of the side mirrors so I took a photo & went back inside. Ryan was already helping another customer but stopped to address my concern and make the appropriate changes on the paperwork. In need of a rental this was the lowest priced for $145 a week for an SUV. I had booked online through Costco. The only issue is that the weekly rate is so low that if you bring it back early no credit is given. They rent clean cars that are new. Instead of a small SUV they gave me what they had so I got an upgrade to a Ford Explorer. Too bad it was for me only as I could have got another 6 people inside. They have great hours of operation and friendly staff. You are greeted and sent on your way quickly. The return was almost as quick and the gentleman behind the counter was assisting several customers at once. Someone would be getting a car and he would check in the ones coming back at the same time. I thought I would need another rental for next week but he was able to cancel that out in the system as well. I would not hesitate tp come back here the next time we need a rental at a great price. read more

This office has the worst customer service. Rented a vehicle to visit family throughout the Southeast for Christmas. The cars was out of line and would shake everything you got above 60 mph. Called customer service and was directed to take it to an airport to exchange. They were great and exchanged the car for us. Upon returning the new car, we made the issue aware to the worker who said she would noted the issue and would be hearing from her manager. After waiting almost 2 weeks without a call from the manager, we stopped into the store to get clarification. The manager said there was no notation to investigate the issue and nothing else to be done. He was very rude and dismissive and even asked us why it took us 4 days before exchanging the vehicle. He then went on to tell us that the vehicle has been rented 2 more times since we turned it in. This is very concerning due to the fact that we reported the issue of the alignment. Makes me wonder how many others have reported this issue but continue renting the vehicle without repairing it. Again no apologies for the lack of communication or follow up. Very disappointed. Was given a filthy car that had a slow leak in a tire and the TPS system was never reset. Throw in the fact that it was almost impossible to find a gas station with an operating air pump (not their fault), it made for a very frustrating experience. When I called roadside assistance, I was on the phone for over an hour and was told I had to drive back to the airport from my hotel on a bad tire to get an exchange. When I got to the counter at the airport, it took three different people to figure out how to complete the exchange. Rented online via Kayak for a full-sized SUV for a 5 hour drive, thru thunderstorms, from Jacksonville Airport (JAX) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) after a business trip. I check in at the airport and Budget assigns me a mini-SUV. I was told that they had no full sided vehicles. The airport was like a ghost town and with the Republican convention cancelled, one would think they would have plenty. But the agent said cars were being shipped to other locales or returned to the leasing companies. Dejected, I head out to my "econo-box" and passed a half dozen full sized SUVs in my row alone!! I have rented from this location 50+ times in the last 2 years, always with exceptional service. I have referred several friends as well and this is the only location we use. Ryan, Norman and Alexis have been nothing but friendly, professional and helpful. The car is always ready to go, clean, and rarely have I had to wait at the counter. I have never seen them treat any other customers differently than they have always treated me. I was in line more than once behind a rude, miserable tourist who was being a jerk (likely, they were just tired from traveling) and they were treated with respect they clearly did not deserve. Norman Jaichon (Owner/Manager) is one of the rudest individuals I have ever met. His customer service skills are substandard. We rented a truck from his location yesterday and were charged top dollar for a truck that had 115,000 miles. This truck needs to be retired! Although you rent for a period of 24 hours, the agent asked me (very nice guy) to rerun the call before 10:00 AM as another customer was picking it up in the morning, I said that I would. When I returned in the morning at 8:52, I was glad to see that there was there already as I had plans and needed to drop off the truck/keys and head to my next meeting. You'd think they'd have a drop box so customers don't have to wait until the business opens. Especially dealing with Norman! Norman was there when I approached the door, which was locked. This crabby man would even acknowledge that I was there, 10 feet away! I tried every way possible and he wouldn't ever look up to let me know that I existed. I was shocked. I literally had to make another trip back an hour later to get my rental paperwork. Yes, he overcharged me and of course would not adjust the bill. I can't wait to speak with Budget to express my displeasure with this poor service. If you have the opportunity to avoid this store, please do! I have rented moving trucks from this Budget Rental location three times. Each rental has been smooth as silk. I reserved online and was able to locate a coupon code from a group I am affiliated with for 20% off. Hit up google to see what coupon codes might work for you. No trouble here with the business honoring them. Once you check in and go through the paperwork process, the attendant (who frequently is this location's owner) brings the truck around to the side of the building. On my last rental, the owner walked me around the truck for a complete visual inspection of the truck noting any scratches or dings that I wouldn't be responsible for at return. Then he wouldn't let me sign the paperwork until we both confirmed the total mileage and gas tank amount. That's classy compared to other places who might want to nickel and dime you over mileage or gas. The truck performed exactly as I needed. Remember the 12 foot truck doesn't have a ramp, so consider the 16 or bigger if you want to save your back. On this rental, the owner was out of 12 foot trucks, but was awesome to make sure a 16 foot truck was in stock. Return was simple as well. We had a 45 day rental and he took his time and explained everything to us, then took us to our car. Everything was perfect and we were fully satisfied. I've lost people due to the Covid 19 but there aren't mask anywhere in my area only people that are in medical field get first pick of mask that do become available. So what do we do? As a professional who travels and uses rental car services on a regular basis, I am extremely familiar with remarkable client experience. I have received good service from Norm (the owner) at this location in the past but yesterday's experience was not like that. The owners son, Ryan has a nasty attitude and is condescending. My dad visits from NY on a regular basis and usually will book through Costco for a vehicle at this location.. I booked a standard size vehicle for 30 days and they did have one available but once my dad went to sit in the car, he felt it was a bit small for him (Jetta). He asked if we would be able to get a larger vehicle as a courtesy (Camry) which we saw a few on the lot. The nice girl at the counter who is new (Doreen) asked Ryan who was condescending to the her and to my dad in his response . I was willing to pay the $28 up charge for the month without issue but I needed to cancel and rebook with Costco online to get that rate since at the counter was a $150+ uncharge. Ryan made a comment sounding as I was wasting their time with us trying to get a free upgrade for the last 30 minutes.. (it was a unnecessary comment and really made me feel that my business was not appreciated). (Remember basic customer service skills ... I would highly suggest Budget over UHaul any day anyway and definitely dealing with this location. Also, if you go on their main page or even do it on a search engine, you should have no problem whatsoever finding a coupon for 20% off of the second smallest size van. One star is one star too many. I made a reservation to pick up a truck at this location, but there was supposedly no truck for me when I arrived. I say supposedly, because there was a parking lot full of trucks. I was told, that even though I had a reservation, they could not fulfill their side of the transaction because they did not get the returns that they were anticipating. That sucks, but what can you do? I left without a truck, and my move suffered as a result. The real kicker came when I checked my credit card statement a few days later, and see that I've been charged $50 for not picking up my truck. I mean, that's just absurd. Fifty minutes being transferred around to different departments, and I've been told that my refund is on the way. It's not really about the money, it's the failure to keep their side of the reservation and then blaming me for their failure. Use any other location or truck rental service. I reserved and prepaid for a economy size car on September 11 dropping off on September 14. Of course there were some terms and conditions for pre-pain however I was not able to make it on September 11 and when I arrived on September 12 to pick up the vehicle he advised that he did not have any more economy cars and Fleet. I walked the premises and saw that he had several cars to accommodate me according to him they were reserved but the representative I was speaking with over the phone with budget told me that those cars were in fact not rented. Mind you I had previously rented from the same location for two weeks for almost $500 without any discounted rates this current reservation was only for about $72 for the entire weekend. If I reserve my car previously it shouldn't matter when I picked it up my car should have still been there long story short I wasted money on an Uber to get there and to get back home and still without a vehicle for the holiday weekend. Then Norman has the nerve to tell me that he's only worried about the reservations that are on the manifest for today like what the hell my reservation was already paid for!! read more
