I arrived at the airport and went directly to the Emerald Aisle, but unfortunately the selection was extremely limited there were essentially mini vans everywhere and very few options that met my needs. I spoke with Latisha, and she was absolutely wonderful. She listened to what I needed, took the time to help, and went above and beyond to accommodate me. Because of her effort and customer service, I left feeling completely satisfied and happy with my rental experience. I will say that the vehicle selection at this location has not always been the best whenever I've flown out of this airport. However, what stands out is that the staff consistently makes every effort to find a solution and make things right when the selection isn't ideal. Latisha is a great example of what excellent customer service looks like. She was professional, kind, accommodating, and genuinely made a difference in my experience. Terrible Customer Service at Fort Lauderdale Airport…read more I have been an Alamo customer for decades, but my recent experience at the Fort Lauderdale Airport location was extremely disappointing. I told the representatives what type of vehicle I wanted within the class I had reserved, and I was simply told to "pick any car in Row 5." After looking at the vehicles available, I couldn't find one that was acceptable. I went back and asked for assistance in finding a suitable vehicle and even asked if they could check the Enterprise parking lot, since it is part of the same organization. I was told there were no other cars available. It took approximately 25 minutes of repeatedly asking for assistance before someone finally radioed another part of the facility and located a vehicle that met my needs. The frustrating part is that this could have been resolved much sooner with just a little customer service. Also, Alamo, a Nissan Sentra and a Nissan Altima are not the same or similar vehicles when the reservation is for a full-size car. Customers should receive a vehicle that reasonably matches the class they reserved. After being a loyal Alamo customer for decades, this experience has seriously changed my opinion of the company. The next time I need to rent a car, I'll be taking my business to one of your competitors.
