NO CONNECTING ROOMs, although it's noted to be available online. Our bedroom & bathroom were reasonably spacious & stocked with basic toiletries. We really liked the breakfast options. Although the dining room is small, they have more variety of breakfast totems than most places (even the more expensive ones). Here are the list of their breakfast choices: - hot items: pancake-covered sausage on a stick, scrambled eggs, mini sausages, biscuit & gravy, Texas-shaped Belgian waffle (you make it on site with a waffle maker) - continental: bread, bagels, prepackaged cinnamon rolls, prepackaged cheese pastry, breakfast bars, prepackaged blueberry muffins. - fresh fruit: apples, clementines, bananas, blueberries - others: yogurt, oatmeal, 3 types of cereals, peanut butter, jellies, chocolate chips, butter - drinks: coffee, milk, non-dairy milk, OJ, apple juice.

This was certainly off peak season and not during parents weekend, but the price was $181 before taxes on a double queen bed room. It's just a block or so off the square so you can walk to plenty of activities and shopping. Just a mile or two from SFA so easy access there too. It's no wonder this place fills up so quickly during parents weekend or homecoming and such. Older HVAC system but newer dual thermostat which adjusts for hot or cold depending on the temperature you set. Seemed to work fine, though it got a little cold in the winter evening we were there before it adjusted. Place was built in the 50s but really nice remodeling done in all the areas. Room was spacious. Bathroom a bit on the smaller side, and the shower is one of those where you have to reach under the shower head so you get a little cold shot before pulling your hand back! Also, no shower door which I am not a fan of, but seemed to be fine after I put a towel mat down. Plenty of towels, pillows and bed covers so the place presents itself as upscale. Sundays they have all day happy hours in the bar (9 flags). But warning, if it's slow they will close everything down early and head home.... Another concern might be during peak times because there was only one elevators, which is modernized, but still a Lone Ranger! Seems each floor has a drink machine right by the elevator for convenience. More than a dozen food places within one mile of the place. Parking out front and on the side of the building was pretty easy and convenient. They do have a car port at the lobby entrance to check in before you park if you prefer. My wife took advantage of the 25% coupon in the gift shop as part of the parent package and bought several fredonia and sfa swag it a great discount. Thumbs up on this place from me, wife, and teenager. Just a note, as we had our electric car this trip. Not charging station at this hotel. As for the rest of the town, there is a Tesla supercharging station, but everything else around town is either level 1 or 2 and basically located at a place of business or hotel. One win for Elon on this category!

So I will say that the weather was stormy bad all evening and morning and I kept getting an SOS on my phone which meant, if I understood correctly, my iPhone was not in an area my provider is - Verizon. And, have never stayed here or in this area, not sure how to gauge this. And, BTW, yesterday was the solar eclipse and we were a bit east of its path so there's that. If in the area again and in need of a room, I'll certainly stay here again.

But I asked for a room with two queen beds, plus extra towels and blankets, and the staff was quick, kind, and able to accommodate everything I needed. The room itself was very clean -- same with the bathroom. I love that they use Dove soap, and my kiddo loved the lotion, which was a nice touch. The beds were extremely comfortable; we were out cold within a couple of hours of getting settled. There were plenty of outlets for all our devices, which is always a huge plus. My only small complaint was the TV -- the bottom of the screen was shaky like it might be going out. We only used it to watch the game before bed, so it wasn't a big deal. Breakfast was good, service was great, and overall we had a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Of course I had my preconceived notions. Although the hotel wasn't luxurious, it was clean and doable. The rooms remind you of your grandmother's house. The plain traditional wooden furniture, wooden floors, a tv and not much decor on the walls. Simplicity at its finest. After a day on the water. We came in thinking we would get ready for bed, but guess who found ants crawling in their bed? Me ! We called management and she came promptly. She started to change the linen and we determined ants were crawling under the mattress too. The manager left the room and immediately came back with keys to a new room for us to move too. We didn't have any problems in the new room. Kudos to the manager for taking care of us and having a pleasant attitude. Yes, I will return again! If you're ever in the area, give this hotel a try. I felt safe and local restaurants are within walking distance.

First our Bathroom door wouldn't shut. The door was too big for the frame. As we've actually experience in a lot of other Marriotts that are older the sink is so far back on the counter I basically have to lean over and throw the water at my face to wash it, then it gets water all over the counter it's actually pretty comical. Overall it suited our purposes for a quick overnight here for family but other than that it wasn't our best Marriott stay. I will say all though it wasn't our worst. It wasn't 1 star but not sure I could give it more than 3 stars although it's likely more like a 2.5 The other thing is we got a room right next to the elevator and the walls at so thin here you can hear every footstep and ever single ding. I'm a light sleeper and so it didn't particularly makes for a nice night of sleep. You can also hear every single creak in this hotel, probably because it is rather old in death the lipstick they slathered on it. I will give it this, it was clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable but the pillows were horrible (but we've experienced bad pillows at almost every courtyard so this is probably a corporate thing.)
