I moved to Florida from Philadelphia (where we have CEMENT everywhere and landscaping in the city is not a concern). I quickly discovered how much I HATE lawn care in the SUNSHINE STATE. Holy crap, it's hot here! My husband works a ton so this nonsense always fell in my direction. I finally gave in and contacted a few "professionals" and my husband, I'm sure was tired of me complaining so he gladly coughed up the money. This guy, Gary 1. Returned my call within 1/2 hour after I reached out to him, I still have yet to hear back from the other five people I was hoping to get a quote from. 2. He showed up Sunday morning 6/2/19, mind you I called Saturday, 6/1/19! 3. This is where it gets embarrassing--because he was so awesome in his availability, frankly he caught me off guard and I forgot to clean up my Great Dane's poop in the yard. Ha ha Thank Goodness I had cleaned the massive poop piles on Friday morning so I'm prrrrretty sure he only discovered 2-3 mounds. Lol, I caught a peek of him through the window as he cleaned them up. Thought for sure he would mention it or there would be an extra charge, but NOT A WORD. 4. He did a phenomenal job on cutting/edging the grass in the front and back yard, trimming my out of control bush and cleaned up after himself "like a big boy" (trust me, I've heard horror stories). 5. I was a bit sketchy at first because he wasn't able to tell me the price he would charge until he showed up, but he explained how it depends on the square footage, etc. DUH!!!! Long story short, I felt like an idiot...especially when he told me the price (freaking awesome) I could have kicked myself for not having called two years ago & ten heatstrokes earlier. You cannot go wrong contacting this company, I am so glad I did and I'm willing to bet money my husband would've kissed this man on the lips to thank him PROPERLY---he enjoyed his Sunday minus my sweat soaked ranting like a hot flashing lunatic. I asked to see his work and he gave me addresses of other driveways he had completed in the area -- they looked great. In January, he said that they would start the last week of March and they were able to get going the first week of April -- impressive foresight and accuracy given how supply chain is jacked up these days. The concrete driveway took about a day to destroy and take away. The brick pavers (Belgard) took about two days to lay. After a couple of days of letting the concrete dry and avoiding poor weather, they sanded and sealed (twice) the pavers. We waited a few more days to drive on them. The whole process took about 10 days, which I thought was impressive given the poor weather at points. Paul was wonderful to work with. He was thoughtful and helpful -- answered questions and was reliable. There was a broken irrigation pipe underneath the pavers that he capped/fixed for us and help us think through other irrigation issues. He went above and beyond. The compliments we've gotten from the neighbors have been amazing -- I couldn't recommend Matao and his team more.
