I met Matao in January 2023 and he walked me through his quote -- it was by far the best value of the three I gathered. I asked to see his work and he gave me addresses of other driveways he had completed in the area -- they looked great. In January, he said that they would start the last week of March and they were able to get going the first week of April -- impressive foresight and accuracy given how supply chain is jacked up these days. The concrete driveway took about a day to destroy and take away. The brick pavers (Belgard) took about two days to lay. After a couple of days of letting the concrete dry and avoiding poor weather, they sanded and sealed (twice) the pavers. We waited a few more days to drive on them. The whole process took about 10 days, which I thought was impressive given the poor weather at points. Paul was wonderful to work with. He was thoughtful and helpful -- answered questions and was reliable. There was a broken irrigation pipe underneath the pavers that he capped/fixed for us and help us think through other irrigation issues. He went above and beyond. The compliments we've gotten from the neighbors have been amazing -- I couldn't recommend Matao and his team more. read more

We picked this company after multiple other quotes. The workers did a great job pressure washing, re-sanding, and sealing our driveway, back patio, and pool surround. They also replaced a bunch of old travertine pavers. Everything looks great. I would highly recommend them. I don't speak Portuguese, but I was able to use Google translate to communicate with the main worker. Everyone was so friendly and thorough. read more

Although they were true to their estimate, my side walk was busted and not repaired properly. The sealer they used did not last even 7 months and the sand is all washed away and needs responded and resealed unfortunately Matao wants to charge $800.00 to power wash my 3 car driveway and reseal. I do not believe I should be paying to have any of this redone as it should have been properly sealed in the first place read more

So many other companies say they'll show up but never do so I was pleasantly surprised from the start. The Matao team professionally site-prepped and installed about 300 sf of a winding walkway and repaired another 300 sf of existing paver that had slid out place because the original installer didn't use a cement to anchor. Matao Brick Pavers responded quickly to my call for an estimate. Came to the house to check measurements and provided an estimate immediately. Very friendly person! The estimate was reasonable. Also, less than another contractor. They started the job of power wash cleaning all of the driveway pavers and the installation of a small strip of pavers as scheduled. They even cleaned the concrete driveway apron and the entire length of concrete sidewalk in front of the house at no extra cost and just because they know it would look better with the cleaned driveway. So very thoughtful of them. Completed professionally and always with a good natured smile! I was so pleased by the job they accomplished. I've put off installing those few pavers for three years. They completed in no time and it looks great. Due to typical Florida weather, it took a couple of days of rescheduling to do the sealing of the driveway pavers and porch pavers/brick columns. But they were very good with staying in touch via text messaging. The finished product looks awesome and repels waters like a freshly waxed car. And that irritating strip of pavers they installed looks like it has always been there. Payment was the same as the estimate. The entire experience was stress free and professional. We recently had Matao Brick Pavers install pavers in our 3 car driveway, apron, walkway to porch and porch. Pavers took about 5 weeks to come in (we though it would be 6 so we were happy with that), and Matao had the demo scheduled the day after paver delivery. Install and sealing took place the following two days after that and we were done by the third day. Crew worked extremely efficient and had great attitudes. Work turned out beautifully. I hired this company to do my pavers. They did not do a good job. They use playground sand for the pavers joints. The pavers were unsteady after they did them and I spoke to Mateo and he came in just add more playground sand. Every time it rains the sand kept washing away. the paver started to have white spots. After I sealed the pavers which the sealing company make attempts to remove the spots, some of them wouldn't come out. later the paver became more white with spots. When talk to the factory Mateo purchased the pavers and other pavers companies that I consulted, I was informed by all that a reaction happened due to the sand he used. I reached out to him and he denied that the reaction is caused by sand he used. Although, the factory has called him personally to tell him to come and take a look at the work he did for me. He continuously blaming the problem on the company that did the sealer. yet, I have proof from the consultations that he should not have use the playground sand and the reaction is cause because of that. he has refused to do anything about it although I have a two year warranty on the work he did. read more

The owner on the other hand not so good his guys left a mountain of sand blocking my driveway as well as bricks from another job that definitely don't match mine and refused to come pick up their mess. What good is a nice paved driveway when you can't park on it because the company you hired is incompetent. Definitely find some else with good work ethic.
