I had a reservation confirmation on line to pick up a vehicle for 2 weeks. I received a call 3…read morehours prior to pick up to inform me they had no vehicles available. After receiving the message on my phone, I called central reservations and they confirmed my reservation. They transferred me to the branch directly. According to George they are "upside down" in inventory and the reservation system will allow you to book a reservation even if there are no cars available. So now I'm stranded trying to find a vehicle only a couple of hours before I need it. If you're a gambler go ahead and reserve. If you need your reservation to be honored, go somewhere else.

Taxi was busy so they picked us up with an old Jeep. I had to stack luggage on top of old tires and other junk in the back. We only had part of the back seat because they had large jogs of water. For starters, I found out accidentally one week before my pickup date that my rental location went out of business, yet no one at Budget notified me. Budget said it was the local location's responsibility to contact me. The location said it was Budget's responsibility. Get your info straight!! Then, after about ten calls to customer service, they moved my rental location to a city about 85 miles away. To add insult to injury, the rental tax rate for the new location went up over $200!!!! Then they give you this crap about how they have no control over that, that your reservation is just a reservation, no guarantees, no contract. You're not even guaranteed to get a truck on the date of your move. AKA you're screwed!! NEVER do business with either Budget or their parent company, Avis. You will regret it. They cannot be trusted!!
