My mission was to find a budget motel with decent features. Mission accomplished: this place met those criteria. So: four stars. My room was clean and functional. It was very quiet. Beyond that, I enjoyed the ambiance of the lobby, where I sat and read for several hours, as various people came in and chatted with the staff. Not five stars. $100 a night passes for low-cost, these days; still, I thought they could have made sure the bathroom sink drained normally. I didn't much care for the breakfast. Sugary orange drink instead of OJ, no plain water to drink, only a toasted bagel or a dubious egg biscuit & sausage casserole for hot food. It was free - but when I got to the plastic knives that were too flimsy to spread cream cheese on my bagel, I felt that maybe the cost-cutting had gone a bit overboard. Overall, it was acceptable. It wasn't as nice and new as the competing places tend to be, but it gave me what I needed, at a lower cost than most of those competitors. read more

This is a nicer older motel on the main drag (SR 12). Great staff. Nice room. Really huge room. Two beds (for just little ole me)... two desks, a fridge, TV, microwave, massive bathroom. For $100. Parking is a bit limited. Way less spaces than there are rooms. Huge pool. Nice little patio with table and chairs right outside my room. The place is really clean and really comfortable. Since this is not a Plus property (a BW Plus is under construction just down the street) I wasn't sure what to expect but this place is fine. read more

Basic and comfortable hotel. Cookies in the lobby when checking in. Room was clean when I arrived. Basic bed, night stands, table and chair, chair and ottoman, desk and chair and tv. Also, included microwave and fridge. Bathroom had a tub/shower combo, but the tub was a jetted tub. I did not try the jetted tub. The heating/cooling unit came with a remote so I didn't even have to get out of bed to change the temperature. This is the second time I have stayed here and will come back again. read more

We escaped the snow in Spokane to get a couple of golf rounds in in Lewiston. Husband found this hotel as it seemed everything else was booked. Property is a bit dated but don't let that detour you. Room 128 was very spacious and clean. King bed, was comfy; smaller tv but we didn't mind that. Hot water in the shower! Hot! It was great. Nice hot tub area that we took advantage of after a day of golfing. Clean and towels provided in the hot tub area. One amenity that this girl appreciated was the dark blue/ black washcloths provided in the room. I always hate using white washcloths to remove makeup. Breakfast was two varieties of eggs, biscuits & gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. Just enough to get your day started. Great value for the price you pay. We'll stay here again. Visit the pizza place across the street! It was the best! read more

Booked a 3 bed loft with kitchen. Was checked in to a 2 bed loft with no kitchen. They say they can't do anything about it because the 3 bed/ kitchen is already booked. I told them I have food for 3 people to last for 3 days expecting we have a full kitchen. They didn't care at all. I go to BBQ the food at the grill and there is no propane. They say we can fill it ourselves. I've been coming here the past three years. Never again will I book this place. The only reason we book this place is for bowling tournaments across the street. I will not recommend this place to any of my bowlers in the future. I own a bowling center in spokane that frequents this place for tournaments. I will now recommend places elsewhere. Surprisingly nice place to stay. I had found that hotels in Pullman (where WSU is) are ridiculously overpriced, and came across this place. It's in a nice town, and everything was very comfortable and clean. Save yourself a bunch of money if visiting WSU and stay here. It's about a 40 minute drive, but it's an absolutely gorgeous drive. read more

We stayed there a couple nights ago. We just wanted a reasonable priced hotel with a pool.It was very hot and we just wanted to get away and cool off. The room was fine,nothing fancy,but clean and had a fridge and microwave. The pool was on the small side,but not a big deal. Alot of kids,which was fine. Our Rally Team stays in this hotel once or twice a year over the past three years. It has proven to be a comfortable place to rest our weary bones after a hard day on the stages. The hot tub is one of the more happily used amenities in the place. Some of the reasons we return here every year even though there are less expensive places to be had is that the service is extraordinary, the complimentary breakfast is really good, complete with waffle irons to make your own waffles. Many rooms have an upstairs loft accessible by a spiral staircase for extra sleeping quarters. We also had trouble getting a clear signal for the internet in the room, but there is a computer terminal in the lobby if you get totally desperate. Overall I think that the extra things you get here justify the price. read more

I stay at a lot of Best Western hotels so I'm comparing apples to apples. I gave a three star as this is not the best and not the worse. It kind of reminds me of an upgraded motel 6. The room is nice and I like the larger bathroom. Some of the newer BW has such small bathroom now. This one has plenty of room in the room. I was not impressed with the breakfast. The eggs did not seem fresh. They start serving I think at 5:00 am and I got up there at about 7:00 am. The eggs must have been cooked about 4:30 I guess. Maybe I'm picky but they didn't seem as fresh as most other BW. No TV in the breakfast area either. A new BW is being built down the street so I hope that one will be nice and maybe have fresher eggs in the morning. Overall, I would stay again but maybe just make plans to have breakfast out read more

Stayed for 2 nights at the Best Western in Clarkston. It was one of the more expensive options, but I opted to stay here instead because of the good reviews. The room was $208 for 2 nights, and I stayed in room 280 or 208, which faced a parking lot away from the main road. Pros: The place was very clean, well serviced, and motorcycle friendly. I would recommend it to a friend. They let me park my motorcycle out the front, which was important as I didn't feel it was safe at the back parking lot. It most likely was, but when your ability to return home 350 mi away depends on a vehicle that can be easily loaded on to the back of a truck, a little peace of mind goes a long way. In the room, a special hand-towel was provided for people to clean up any various small issues; specially mentioned was motorcycles. For any rider who has done multi-day trips and has a conscience, this is a major bonus. On request at the front desk (where you obtain towels), I could use the hot tub, which I was not aware of when booking a room, nor that there was a pool. I believe there was also an exercise room too. There is a gas station very close by. My room was quiet, and I slept without interruption. Cons: The internet connection signal was not very strong - relatively stable, but not very strong. I never asked the front desk about it, but there didn't seem to be any decent restaurants within close walking distance. read more

I stayed here while visiting WSU with my daughter. A great place to come back to each night to get some much needed rest. The room was spacious, beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Well maintained property and very clean! Pool was maintained daily and all guests were quiet. Clean place to stay with amazing beds. We loved going "down the gum drop each evening too" Go Cougs!! We have been coming to this motel for year and have never had such lousy service. I requested a room on the bottom floor by the pool. My husband has COPD and has a hard time climbing stairs. I was told 4 months ago it would not be a problem. We get here to check in and at 4:00 we were told we had been moved to the back building top floor. Our room had been given to someone else. We will be looking for a new place to stay while here in Clarkston. Now this morning our bath towels are the size of hand towels. We are not the only ones the has happened to. I stay here frequently for work. Frequently enough, to have the WiFi password memorized. They have all been tremendously incredible. My room is always clean, above and beyond. And, the front desk lady, Jill, has the best customer service I've seen in a long time. She knows who I am when I walk through the door, she knows my preferences, and puts me in my favorite room every time. This last time, I didn't think it was going to work out, and I was going to need a different room (happens right?) well, she took the time to make it happen! I'm not sure how she did it, but I was extremely grateful she did. I've also noticed, people I don't deal with regularly, make a point to know who I work for, and to say hi and ask how my work campaign is going. It's almost like a home away from home, that only those little details can provide. read more

I am leaving two stars for this place just because it is the best game in town ... but that isn't saying much! The building is pretty ratty and the hallways smelled like rot. The room was clean but the beds were quite uncomfortable and the heater was so loud and smelled horrible while it ran. The breakfast was a typical breakfast ... once there was some food and coffee made. However, it was over at 9am, which is unusual for BW and it just happened to be daylight savings so many people showed up too late to get anything. I felt bad for the people with kids who really wanted waffles and the staff just said "hmm sorry". Lastly, each time I went to get coffee in the office, the container was empty. Needless to say, we will not be staying at this best western again. As Diamond Members, it was quite disappointing. read more

The River Tree Inn is a little hidden gem. The staff was exceptionally nice at check-in. A young lady named Stormy, smiled and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. I was so happy when I looked over my room. The beds were well made and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, and the overall feel of the room was cozy. Ended up not staying here. I called the facility in advance to confirm they allowed dogs. Somehow that was not completely the case. Apparently, three rooms are provided for dogs and they weren't available. Manager said he would approve another room and would take this up with Best Western. It felt lime he was making his problem my problem and I didn't feel welcome. We pay extra for our dog and shouldn't have to put up with this. And, a room wasn't really so we were going to have to leave and come back. We just left. read more

this place used to be very motorcycle friendly. not anymore. we've stayed here multiple times and always been accommodated. not this time! I made this reservation in January, asked for a room on the first floor near the pool where we could park our motorcycle outside. what we got was a second floor room as far away from the pool as possible. and on top of that, we had to wait 30 minutes while they cleaned the room. we will find somewhere else to stay if we come this way again. appears to have new owners who only care about how full they are. read more
