I've been renting from Budget for years now, and I can honestly say Budget never disappoints. It is by far the BEST (and my personal favorite) place to rent video equipment in Miami; both as a freelancer and now as a videographer for Onboard Media. I'll tell you why. The staff is wonderfully kind and helpful, and they will always, ALWAYS, come through in a pinch. David has personally helped me load A LOT of equipment into a location late at night and has even delivered gear to my house. He and his staff have always been wonderfully accommodating, whether it's last-minute or late night. I've been a loyal customer since my very first experience with Eden and Ernesto at Budget. I needed a comprehensive one-man camera package for a documentary shoot in Africa, and not only did Budget have the best prices in town, Eden took the time to help me figure out exactly what I would need via phone and e-mail. I had never worked with the C-300 before and Eden and Ernesto took the time to educate me on the gear and even let me get my hands on it and test it with them. They answered all my questions and helped me feel comfortable and confident with the package I took to Tanzania. Everything worked perfectly and the shoot went great. Thank you Budget! Since then, Budget (and particularly Eden), has been my go-to for all my video production rental needs. She is always extremely kind and helpful and always responds quickly. Renting as often as we do, it's great to have a relationship with wonderful, friendly, helpful people you can trust. And Eden is always ready, willing and available to help us with our last-minute rental needs. You really can't ask for more. Not to mention, they ALWAYS have exactly what we need. Budget Video has been a great source for renting equipment for us. I work for Discovery Channel Latin America and I've used them for many of our shoots. They have provided us with not only great equipment but they've responded to us very quicky when needed something with urgency, sometimes with only an hour notice! The staff is professional, but more important, they are genuine and carrying. I go to Budget Video more than anything for the people that work there. They have always made me feel comfortable and at home. In one instance, I had AJA lend us their new CION camera to test it out which in the middle of the shoot the rig stopped working properly. We had to call off the shoot in that moment and figure out what was going on with our rig. I called Budget Video (this was on a Saturday) and although none of the equipment we were using was theirs, they allowed me to take it over and check it out. I was able to set the rig there and ran a couple of tests while talking it over with their staff. At the end we figured out where the issue was and they were able to provide me with the right pieces to make the rig function properly. The rig proved to function well for the remainder of the shooting days. I love Budget! My main point of contact is Eden and she's AMAZING! Not only is she extremely helpful but she genuinely cares about her clients, as she ALWAYS goes above and beyond for us. Many times I have odd requests, and she always tries to accomodate. Eden is a true asset to Budget and if you call Budget, make sure to ask for her! Additionally, the entire staff is extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. It's the little things such as: NOT nickel and diming me for everything, showing me the equipment and makings sure I fully understand how to use it, helping me load my truck, etc. They truly make sure I have all that I need for every program regardless how big or how small. Overall, I enjoy doing business with Budget and it's simply because: they care about their customers. FYI I rent from Budget a couple times a month and have been doing so for over 4 years; and have always had wonderful experiences. Not certain what new drug has come out that this guy who wrote the negative comment is on but I've been dealing with Budget for almost 4 years now and I love it. When picking up an order you absolutely must take a few moments in the massage chair. Believe it or not they even let us leave the country with rentals for one of our productions. I've dealt with almost every scenario through hundreds of rentals and every time I leave happy. What other company double checks to make sure you have the proper item in your order to complete your job? And YES Eden doesn't know everything but anything she doesn't know she quickly gets me on the phone with someone knowledgeable on the topic. Not everyone can be happy however I'm borderline offended that someone could fabricate such an elaborate negative experience. In closing, clearly that is a script writer with no work, hopefully your storytelling here on yelp can get your talent some exposure. read more

Budget video rentals deserve five stars for this review. Although it is my first time renting from them, its almost like I can call this place home. The staff, from the management down to the equipment preparer have been very accommodating towards my needs even after calling in at the very last moment, a few minutes past closing time to arrange for a gear pick up! I explained how it was imperative that I have the gear for the shoot later that night and they even arranged for someone to stay back to ensure that i received it! The process has been an ease renting from Budget, with arrangements being made for those people who do not have production equipment insurance. Again, they make the process very easy. I think for any seasoned veteran or aspiring director, producer, or cinematographer who needs to get industry standard equipment rented at an affordable price on the dime, budget video rentals is the way to go! Such an amazing staff, spoke on the phone for a good 5-10 mins with the nice owner, and was delivered such amazing recommendations and customer service over the phone, decided to head over to the store and the nice young guy working there (didn't catch his name) helped me for over an hour figure out a complicated in-depth problem I was having with my Gimbal, he worked very hard and helped me solve the unknown issue and as a result he helped me figure it out, also recommended and tested some amazing alternatives Gimbals for my specific camera which I was very happy with. I highly recommend this place for their amazing rentals of any camera gear, repair service, and their 5 star hands-on customer service! We produce MMA fights and require the top cameras and equipment, so that we can televise our events. We've been treated with respect and the company has always come through for us with last minute requests. Do not rent from Budget Video Rentals. Their rental manager Eden is gone and the place is a mess. She was the only thing keeping that place together. As I previously mentioned I had used them for years and for large jobs. I returned for a high profile shoot and was greeted with the worst service ever. The delivery arrived an hour and a half late and incorrect. Not to mention broken equipment. They have done nothing to remedy the issue after 3 weeks of back and forth. I will never return and neither will any other producer I can steer clear of this disastrous rental house. The company I work for put on a conference in Miami in April of 2018, and I checked with a variety of rental places in the area to rent camera gear, C-stands, etc, but wound up going with Budget. They were extremely communicative and easy to work with to get exactly what we needed. They had a plethora of 4K cameras, and we wound up going with three A7Rii's and one A7Sii - which worked very well for the weekend. They also made it easy on us by giving me the contact info of the courier who would be dropping off and picking up the equipment so I was able to pinpoint timing with precision. There has been so many instances Han, Eden and the other video techs have spent long periods of time to train me in the equipment. I've seen them do this for their other customers as well. I use them for all our of company's video equipment needs - they always make the process super easy and quick. The equipment is always ready for me when I come to the store. There was actually time when I damaged an item - instead of charging me with the damages - they fixed it for me and showed me how to avoid making the same mistake in the future. I was in dire need of new jeans. When jeans have holes that aren't there for the style, then they need to go. Doing some digging, I found this place. With so many stars and good reviews, it was worth a shot. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by Sarah who took me on a tour of the jeans section. Didn't think it was possible but I was instantly drawn to these comfy, well worn boyfriend jeans--holes not included. For $25, it was a steal! Doing this type of work for the past 30 years it is hard to find a rental house that will work with you, we have a crazy schedule and they are always accommodating. Frequent BVR customers, they have been a go-to for 10 years plus. Always helpful, detailed and knowledgeable about gear I'm unfamiliar with. The manager Eden has been there since I've started renting from BVR and always goes above her duty as manager, opening up off hours, rushing orders when needed and delivering items when I'm in a bind.
