If there was a Best of Miami: Photography / Camera store, this would be it! I got tipped on this store by some forumers in a photography site. Vintage cameras, latest cameras, cheap generic supplies for things you've lost, plenty of variety of bags, lights, films, friendly service, hole-in-the-wall establishment, friendly service, and even reasonable prices for a locally-owned store - this place has it all together that it is often recommended by real and professional photographers. All your needs would be met here, and your questions answered. To professional photographers, this is the best store in Miami. There's a vintage sign outside that says 24 hours photo developing, but I don't think that is offered anymore. But at least they keep things vintage as they like old things, as well as the new. Free parking is in the back - accessible on NE 2nd Ave, even though the storefront faces Biscayne Blvd. You can cut across the parking lot next door though, and get onto NE 2nd Ave and then park at the right parking lot. read more

Some girls drool over shoes in a window display. I, on the other hand can't entirely relate, unless the shoes are replaced with vintage cameras, much like those found inside World Wide Foto. This place is awesome for those of us that still love to shoot film and different types. I'm not a "serious" photographer but I do prefer film to digital and this place has a good variety of films which I can usually only find online. I would not recommend this business. I am long time customer, over 20 years. Before moving for a job out of country I tried to purchase new Sony camera. First I was given lecture that they only carry"professional equipment" and that Sony is not considered based on their standards "professional" brand. Anyway, I had a gift certificate for $300 so I just paid the difference and they were going to order the camera for me. Unfortunately they were not able to get the camera in time, so we cancelled the order and I had to go with Amazon that got it to me the next day and $20 less and I kept the store credit. When I moved back to Miami I passed by the store and saw they were relocating to a new location. I spoke with Derek and he assured me that they are not closing, just moving and my credit was valid and will not loose it. After they moved to new location and I decided to update some lights I passed by the store since I knew I have over $600 credit with them. I was told by the same manager Derek that unfortunately the company is now own by different owners and they no longer honer my credit. So no. I would not recommend to do any business with this company. Shame on you! read more

This place has been around FOREVER. I remember when I took photography in high school, this was the place recommended by our teacher, who also used to frequent as a student at UM! Phew! The employees are extremely knowledgeable about everything Photography. They are always willing to give you advice, suggestions, or answer any question you may have. The store has quality items at good prices. You can find anything you need from cameras, to bags, to photo paper, chemicals for developing in a dark room, etc. For the amateur to professional photographer, WWF really has it all! I found a camera bag that I used for traveling overseas. With the new airplane restrictions, it's not easy traveling with both a digital camera and video camera. They have a great selection and there are some things that you just can't buy online. Came in to buy some rolls of Tmax100 and found the guy there helpful and courteous. The film was reasonably priced and has 18 months left until expiration at a small markup to B&H pricing. He mentioned that they're about to move to a new location sometime soon, as the building certainly needs some repairs. If you get there before the move, just cut through the Bank of America parking lot at 5020 Biscayne Blvd and circle to the parking lot in the back of the store. read more

This store has the worst customer service ever. I spent $4000 last october and I bought a 32gb compact flash. When I got home I realized the card didn't work properly so I send it back vía DHL to the store to have it exchanged. A week later I received in the email the very same card in a new box. When I called to explain they wouldn't believe me and said my camera was the problem. It wasn't until I send them photos of the card and the box that they realized I was right. It has been a month already and they still wont send me back my card even though they already admitted that they made a mistake. And now, the cherry on top is that they won't answer my emails or my calls. To make the story short: the people in this store will rob you if they get the chance. read more

Well, There is not much photography / camera store and services out there, so This would be an option. I've been here a few times and there service is definitely slow and seems somewhat lag. I've purchased film here and its been no problem, there is a big selection of camera and equipment, but I usually by online. I processed a couple of rolls of slide film here and it was literary DOUBLE what you would pay in lets say... Wolf Camera & Video or Walmart's lab! Don't know why I took the risk? Perhaps the eagerness to see the film. It's a give or take, sometimes they are overwhelmed when there are a few people being taking care of, but they do know their stuff I must say. I have been to WWF about 5 times (out of necessity) and every single time it takes them over 10 minutes to notice me there and ask if they can help me...but by then I have realized I am stuck overpaying for something I need or realize they don't have what I am looking for. And this is with an empty store...they just don't care. It's a shame there are no decent photography stores in Miami. -Update: I have been there a few times more and the staff has been nice. I went to World Wide Foto today in a panic as I have a Nikon camera whose power cord I could not find, so I ordered a charger online. It came and I charged my Nikon battery and it was still dead. Believing the charger was lousy I ran to World Wide Foto to see if I could get a charger as my daughter will be in a play tomorrow and I am freaked to try to get this camera charged. World Wide did not carry the charger I needed, but the gentleman who helped me could see my angst and on his own plugged in the charger I had NOT purchased here and showed me how to PROPERLY use it! I was embarrassed, but more thrilled to have diverted a crises. I, unfortunately, did not get the gentleman's name to thank him. This place is awesome, like an old-time business that cares about customers and finding you what you need and if they do not have it they will attempt to help you in your search! I thank the gentleman again and apologize for not knowing your name; so VERY non- self-serving. Only constructive criticism: Fix up the front of the store or at least put an "OPEN" sigh out. I went to Worldwide Foto with a gently used camera that I purchased online to conduct interviews. I was not able to turn it on and I thought I got gipped. I brought the camera and Derrick educated me on the attached grip that stored the "missing" batteries. He was informative, approachable and professional. Im still learning about camera equipment and he made me feel very comfortable as well as answered all my questions. His prices are competitive as well. Will be back for my future needs. read more

I don't know how many decades ago some of these reviewers went to World Wide, but every time I've gone in the past year, the employees have been terrible. One employee in particular tried to tell me that a box of photo paper with a broken seal, tape that didn't stick to the bottom, and a crack/hole on the corner of the lid was BRAND NEW. Yeah right. And he was listening to his ipod/ignoring me the entire time I was trying to get his help. It also takes him 15 minutes to notice me standing at the register with money to THROW at him and 20 minutes to ring me up after he's ready to acknowledge me. Not to mention, they've been around for ages, and they've never bothered to fix the 75 holes they have on their roof. There were pails catching filthy water in every aisle. I only go to this place out of sheer necessity. They should consider taking classes on customer service or hiring a brand new cashier. I hate this place. read more

WOW. This store sold something I had on consignment and did not have the decency to send me a check. When I would email or call would not receive a response. Today Derrick first gave excuses that they had bad employees who were fired, then he began getting really aggressive and also screamed at me. AWESOME! Has so many go to things for my photography needs. The seamless background paper that I used to pay a ton on shipping, and now I was able to buy some from World Wide Foto without paying shipping costs. The bathroom is disgusting though, so I would not go in there at all.. I love that I can find all my photography needs there. Would definitely recommend it, but stay away from the bathroom, there was like used toilet paper on the wet floor... Parking is in the rear, just so you know. read more

Worst customer service I have ever had! The man at the counter bagged up the film I brought (to get developed) with the rest of the things I purchased forcing me to turn back around when I got home. Then when I got there I was met with an attitude after he made a mistake. He said, "If you're gonna give me an attitude you can take the film back." I wasn't giving you an attitude, but it's frustrating that you have one job and you can't handle it. On top of that, he told me a certain roll of film that I bought would be $6 and that a chord I bought would be $12 (since nothing has a price tag on it). Once I got home for a second time and checked my receipt, I noticed that he charged me $8 for the roll of film and $15 for the chord. He says he is going to give me the cash back when I get there next week, but I highly doubt that will happen. I will never bring my business there again and you shouldn't either! read more

I was excited to find an old local photo shop in Miami. I was more than ready to end my relationship with Walgreens photo development center. I tried ( whole-heartedly) to like World Wide Foto... twice... It is awful!!! The service is lengthy and terrible. No one seemed to be interested in answering my questions. I never got a call about my photos, and when i called to ask about the hold up, I was made to feel like it was MY fault that there had been a laps of 2 weeks without any sort of notification. I chalked it up to a slip up, but when I walked in the store and realized that no only was I greeted with rude service ( again) I also was not given what I asked for.. or PAYED FOR! incredibly expensive with nothing to show for it. I'm sorry to write such a negative review about a small business.. but get it together! Awful! Awful! Don't waste your time.. or your money.
