This gym is a great gym if you're looking to get a good workout in for any type of combat sport…read more Always clean and the coaches will get you right. Being a woman in boxing, there is a lot of discrimination and sexism. I experienced non of that in this gym and that's why I travel an hour 3 days a week to be here.

I was harassed at blue line by a client with a serious mental health condition. They drive away…read morewomen. I did tell the owner, but it seems he is doing nothing. One of the coaches only sees women for the purpose of sex. He's twice my age (and he has adult kids my age), and he would just try to hit on me in front of everyone. It was very uncomfortable because I was not interested at all, but I also didn't want to make enemies. One time the coach grabbed me from behind on the treadmill, and he had his whole body pressed against mine. So self-entitled. Before this happened, I had tried to hint politely he needs to respect me multiple times. I was there for half a year, and he didn't learn how to say my name even though I did try correcting him multiple times. When he had something to say to me, unlike the rest of the modern world, he would just expect me to come to him instead of coming to me. He not only did he try to flirt with me, but he would also reprimanded like a kid. Also the owner's nephew was indecent to me when he found out I was queer, and he implied I was easy. I could continue on about the discrimination, but you get the idea if you're a woman from a marginalized community. There's horrible sexism in boxing and always less women at gyms, but other boxing gyms have more women. Honestly though, I experienced even worse discrimination at other boxing gyms that made me want to go back to blue line. Also the owner makes fun of people when they're in pain.

The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired -- equipment and common areas are regularly dirty. The classes they offer are underwhelming at best. To top it off, every other Urge Fitness location has a sauna except this one. They kept promising an upgrade was coming -- all they did was rearrange the equipment. Nothing actually changed. The biggest issue is how they handle cancellations. When I tried to cancel due to a permanent relocation to another state, they refused to honor my rights under New Jersey's Health Club Services Act (N.J.S.A. 56:8-42), which protects members who relocate more than 25 miles from the facility. Instead of doing the right thing, they hid behind contract language that contradicts state law and demanded additional payments I don't legally owe. I had to file a formal complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs just to be taken seriously. Looking at other reviews, I am clearly not alone -- multiple members have reported issues with membership holds and unfair cancellation practices. This appears to be a pattern, not an isolated incident. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Planet Fitness offers a better experience at a lower price with far less hassle.
