    My Reasoning

I see a trend here with Buds. Their customer service is shit. Good deals. Shit customer service. They don't seem to care. I only came to them originally because of hicock45 on YouTube who frequently promotes them and sends customers their way only for them to be ungrateful to him as "Troy", the Bud's butthurt supervisor, told me that they are not associated with hicock45. (Nevermind they send him guns to showcase on his channel.) The same with their attitude towards The Gun Range who they have listed as one of their FFL dealers. I was also treated like a felon and had my order cancelled because the ID address didn't match my residential address. "Joe" from The Gun Range said that it actually wouldn't be a problem as long as I provided proof of residence. Troy said that the fact The Gun Range pointed out was merely an 'opinion on the situation' and Buds would enforce their whimsical, illogical unwritten policy. I mean, not to stereotype the low IQ of people in the south because the southern hospitality one was definitely wrong but... Anyway, I have attached the correspondence with these clowns. Judge for yourself.

Great store with a huge selection of guns and a great indoor range. They have a lot of pistols to choose from even high end ones too

Ask the Community - Buds Gun Shop & Range

Can I purchase a handgun with Arizona Ccw permit?

You can purchase a long gun out of state; for handguns you have to be in your home state BUT, you can buy it out of state and have them ship it to a dealer in your state to do the FFL transfer. Because, government is based on common sense...

What models of firearms are available to rent? I could only find a list of machine guns. I am thinking of taking my dad, who is a history buff... hoping to find a place to shoot some "classics," like an M1 Garand, Colt .45, Henry Rifle, etc...?

I don't think they have vintage guns for rent. Even if they did, I wouldn't waste my money on these people who will NOT treat you with respect. There is a good chance they will ruin your experience with you dad, just as they did with me and my…

Mark Wahberg even said so in the movie "Shooter". Escape from the valley of tourist hell and head up the hill to Gatlinburg, make a left and BOOYAH, you're there. Bring your shotgun or rent one for 5 bucks. Try your hand at skeet or trap shooting. I shoot pretty regular and was looking for some practice time. Mike greeted me at the range and was super nice, not because he was sipping out of a moonshine jug and said I had a purty mouth (Mike was dressed in a uniform and super professional). No pressure...no stupid house rules...take your time, get out on the range and have a good time. These folks run a clean friendly range and are nicer than Mother Theresa. I brought a buddy who had never shot a gun before and they made him feel like a regular. When his rookie ass dropped a shell somewhere and ended up 1 short at the end of the round, Mike handed him a spare shell and said his box probably came short 1 round. I want to play poker with this guy! Value! $6 for a round of skeet is butt ass cheap. $5 for gun rental....really? That's a steal. Friendly conversation and a swell time in the hills of Tennessee ...away from the wife, kids and tourist hell called Pigeon Forge. Priceless. FYI, call ahead since this is a private club and you need a code to get through the gate. I don't have the number...google it yourself. Bottom Line: If you aspire to something more than doing laps in a NASCAR replica 1.5 HP go cart or playing Putt Putt with Sponge Bob, go on over to Gatlinburg Sportsmans Club and shoot some trap or skeet. Wipe the funnel cake sugar from your face and go shoot some real guns. Mabe you'll score some man points with the fellas around the water cooler when you say you went shooting on your miserable vacation.

The prices here were excellent, and while we were shopping, I found several firearms I wanted to purchase as well. We arrived about two hours before closing, which should have been plenty of time. The first salesperson retrieved the box for the firearm my son initially selected, but he changed his mind after finding the same model in black. I also let the staff know which firearms I wanted to buy, and they said they needed to locate the boxes. A little later, we were told they couldn't continue looking because there was a manager meeting in the area where the boxes were stored, and employees weren't allowed in. That was a baffling decision. Why schedule a meeting that prevents your sales staff from accessing inventory and completing sales? To save time, they had us complete all of the paperwork while they continued looking. Our background checks were approved without issue. At that point, all that remained was checking out. Then we were told they couldn't find any of the four boxes for the firearms, so they couldn't sell them. I understand why the original boxes are required, they contain the extra magazines, accessories, and documentation. I even suggested completing the sale and having my son, who lives in Knoxville, pick up the box later if necessary. That wasn't an option. What was even more concerning was the explanation. We were told Beretta "just gives them tons of guns," as if the manufacturer was somehow responsible. But Beretta doesn't unpack the firearms, place them in display cases, and lose track of the boxes. That's entirely an inventory management issue. If you have dozens of identical firearms, I understand that finding a specific serial-numbered box could be challenging. But there are simple inventory solutions. Assign each display firearm a matching inventory number, place the same number on its box, and store the boxes sequentially. Locating the correct box would take minutes instead of potentially becoming impossible. To one employee's credit, he made another attempt to locate my son's box and eventually found it, allowing him to complete his birthday purchase. I genuinely appreciated his effort. Unfortunately, I left empty-handed. Initially, I told them not to bother looking for my firearms the next day because I wasn't driving another eight-hour round trip. Before leaving, however, I changed my mind and asked them to call me if they located the boxes so I could decide whether I could make arrangements. Two days later, I still hadn't received a phone call. The store lost roughly $1,400 in sales from my purchases alone. That's not an insignificant amount, and it's hard to understand how any business can be comfortable displaying inventory that it ultimately can't sell because it can't locate the required packaging. The pricing was outstanding, and several employees were friendly and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, poor inventory management and operational decisions completely overshadowed what should have been a great experience. I hope management takes a hard look at these processes because I can't imagine the owners would be pleased knowing sales are being lost simply because employees can't access or locate inventory that's already on display.
