I was given a gift card to this place by a good friend. I was able to talk with the manager (or maybe owner) and she told me they work with 400 cooperatives in 59 countries across the world. The first time I went, I didn't buy anything because there were so many different things and I wanted more time to really look at everything. There were household goods, instruments, shoes, blankets, jewelry, art, and so much more. Prices range from low to high, but all are fairly priced to help promote economic development in the countries that send the goods. The second time I went, I took my husband with me. He settled on a Gourd Shaker made in Peru and I purchased earrings made in Kenya. While we were there, we saw a djembe that we will probably go back and get. I highly suggest you stop by. Some items will be more expensive than other places which use child labour, sweatshops, or forced labour. I am happy to spend more and purchase a few quality items rather than a ton of cheap things made by grossly underpaid people overseas. The atmosphere is nice. The owner and employees are great. It is easy to get around the store as it is not cluttered. I also ordered a backpack when I got home. Wished I had bought it that day I was there.
