I attended a PTX concert when it was Budweiser Stage. The concert was fun. There were fans of all ages (from kids to older adults). Entering was pretty quick. I was shocked that I was able to enter with my lightstick. Please make sure the batteries aren't inside when you enter until you're seated. They will check it at the entrance. The merch area was pretty large with a lot of merch and food booths. Tons of seating (both the lawn and assigned seating). From what I remember, I kind of wish that there a bit more washroom and water fountains because a lot of people attended the sold out show. Parking was paid parking and pretty packed. There were still spots if you come about 1-2 hour early. You can transit there if you don't have a car or drive downtown Toronto. read more

Went to see NKOTB. The show itself was great. Traffic to the venue was HORRIBLE. We missed DJ Jazzy Jeff but made it right on time for Paula Abdul. They were so entertaining. It was my second time seeing NKOTB and first for Paula. We had a great time. The venue could have used police presence and traffic control especially after the show. Ubers and Taxis were literally blocking lanes of traffic making walking (crossing the street) and driving very unsafe. They (taxis/Ubers) left their illegally parked cars on the street and were walking around asking event attendees if they needed an Uber. They were also making erratic u-turns. We didn't see ANY police or traffic control. It was bad. The crowd was crazy inside for the food/drink and merch lines as it usually is for concerts, but we ate before going so we didn't buy anything. I went to the merch line after the show and the line went really quick. I got lucky and the merch I wanted was still available in our sizes. Also, we came to Toronto from California for this show. I wish there was more signage especially on the freeway for the Budweiser Stage. We didn't see any, but saw signage for other venues. We were using Google Maps so we ended up being fine. This was my first time at the Budweiser Stage for a concert and I loved it! I came for a Charlie Puth concert and the atmosphere of being outside, listening to great music with the Toronto skyline in front is just unmatched. I wished we got there a bit earlier so we could have explored the grounds a bit more as they had many options for food and drinks. There was also a station with free off bug spray which was great. The line to get in was quite long but if you have an American Express card there's a shorter line you can join to get in quicker. read more

I've been to Budweiser Stage a few times for various concerts, with the most recent one being the Neil Young and Crazy Horse concert, which was also the season opener. For each show, we've chosen to go to the lawn, an area behind the seated area. People tend to sit for opening bands and stand up when the headliner hits the stage. Overall, I like Budweiser Stage as a venue: the outdoor setting is great on a clear day, and provides plenty of space for people to attend. From the lawn, you get a fantastic view of the CN Tower and city skyline. There are plenty of food and drink options - they tend to be overpriced, as you would expect, but also not grossly overpriced for a venue that could theoretically charge you whatever they want and get away with it. The downsides of Budweiser Stage, specifically the lawn area: it's not covered on a rainy day (which I have yet to experience), and it's quite far from the stage, so you won't really be able to see what's happening on the stage. If you don't really care to "see" the concert and you're more concerned about listening and enjoying the atmosphere, the lawn at Budweiser Stage still delivers! read more

I have been to Budweiser Stage (formerly Molson Amphitheatre) many times since I moved back from Winnipeg many years ago. Depeche Mode. Rihanna. Barenaked Ladies. Ben Folds Five. Guster. Boothby Graffoe. REM. Modest Mouse. The National. I was here in September to see Pet Shop Boys (PSB) and New Order on their Unity Tour. They kicked off their tour here, which made it a special night. This concert was over two years in the making. It was postponed due to the pandemic. I was last here to see Duran Duran. I saw that I had written a tip on Yelp from that concert, but I never bothered to write a review, or even post photos from it. I finally did. The review is my account of the Unity Tour at this venue. The original plan was to come see the Unity Tour with my good friend and her partner. I had booked tickets for all three of us over two years ago. I couldn't get three seats together. I got two so they could sit together and I took the single ticket. Things change. My friend's partner had to work that night. He recently took a new job and doesn't have the seniority to take days off. So, it was my friend and I going to this concert. I successfully sold now her single ticket. My friend always marvels at how I can manage to sell tickets online like that. I am fortunate. I managed to get the full price of her ticket back, which she was grateful. The plan was for my friend to drive from Peterborough to my place by 4 pm and park in my driveway. I'd then drive us down to the show and get there at a reasonable time during rush hour before the show started at 6:30 pm. It worked perfectly. I normally park across from Ontario Place in a parking lot with a cheaper rate. For Duran Duran, I did that. However, it was days before the Honda (another formerly Molson) Indy. Folks set up barriers during this show such that I couldn't get to my car. I actually had to ask a staff member to move a barrier so I could get to it. Ugh! It was a long night. This time, I parked in the east parking lot across from Budweiser Stage. My friend was kind to pay $35 for parking. The walk over was straightforward. We had to line up. You can bring a purse. You go through a security check, which was uneventful. I had our tickets on my phone. I have all Ticketmaster tickets in Google Wallet. The man scanned both and we were fine. We went to the merchandise stand. She got a t-shirt representing both PSB and New Order. I got the same shirt, but I am such a PSB fan that I got the one where Neil and Chris are wearing cones on their heads. Iconic! The place has changed quite a bit. There are more vendors that give you a food truck vibe. We needed a washroom. There were portable ones. Mine was clean. There were also hand-washing stations in the middle of them. We didn't want a food truck because the wait times were ridiculous. I remember getting food fast in the past. We found that place where you can order fries or a box of popcorn quickly. Yay! My friend is vegan. She went with fries, water, and a Diet Pepsi. I was debating whether I wanted popcorn until I saw chicken fingers and fries on the menu. Sold! I also got a Diet Pepsi. Service was fast. I got my food pretty fast with sweet and sour dipping sauce. We then headed to our seats. We sat almost dead centre. Our seats were pretty good. The food hit the spot. We were quietly eating because we were so hungry. Paul Oakenfold, a talented DJ, opened. He was great. I was impressed. During this tour, PSB and New Order took turns opening. We got PSB first, followed by New Order. The concert was amazing. It was great seeing and hearing PSP again. My friend had never seen either band. She was impressed by how great Neil's voice was. PSB was fantastic! We both hadn't seen New Order before. What got me interested in this band's music was hearing "Regret" as an undergraduate. Sure enough, it was the first song that the band did and I was happy. We both loved what we were seeing and hearing. I have learned from my travels that rolling your clothes gives you more space in your luggage. I rolled both t-shirts and they fit in my purse just fine. It was a warm evening. I wore shorts and a t-shirt. My friend ended up taking her jean jacket off and cooled down in her tank top and jeans. The show ended at 10 pm. It started at an early 6:30 pm. Traffic wasn't bad leaving. I took Bay Street to enter the Don Valley Parkway northbound. I learned something new that night. My latest experience at Budweiser Stage was much better than the last back in 2016. I recommend not going when there's the Honda or whatever the Indy is called these days. It was unpleasant to not get to my car thanks to barricades. I didn't have to deal with that nonsense this time around. I had a great time. I apologize to everyone around me for putting up with my singing. I can't help it when a concert is excellent. I can't control it! The One Republic concert I went for was fantastic (review of a concert at the bottom half of the review)! It's been a while since I went to a concert and it was much better than I expected! Live and not overly crowded. We paid for the seats instead of lawn tickets giving us ample time to show up later. The energy of an outdoor concert is great. Thankfully, the weather was perfect! Most seats have shelter coverage from rain (except the few rows at the back and the lawn area). The viewing angle in the seating area is fine but expect to stand most of the time since most people do even in the sitting area. Food trucks and bars are around at steep prices. It is what it is, and you know what you're getting into. Expect to spill ~$13+tax+tip for a tall can. Avoid parking directly near the stage. We parked a 20-minute walk away and avoided a massive backup of people getting their cars out later. We stood right behind the last seated row instead of at our designated seats. It was less crowded and provided a better viewing angle and even a ledge to step up. Review of my One Republic Concert: The last time I saw them was in 2015, and this recent concert is better. They sang many of the old favs (Apologize, Counting Stars, etc) and also big hits he wrote for other artists e.g. Halo for Beyonce, Bleeding Love for Leona Lewis, Rumour has it for Adele and other celebs. One Republic didn't start until maybe around 1.5hrs after, so giving us time to make it there a bit later. We were probably there by 7:45~pm for a 7pm concert and the lawn area looked well-occupied then. T-shirts were sold for $50. Located inside Ontario Place Budweiser stage is a big concert venue out in the open air. There is a roof over part of the seats. Those are the more expensive seats of course. Since it's an open air venue & surrounded by water, be prepared for mosquitoes in the summer time. Bring your bug spray if the mosquitoes love you! The venue does well at being accessible. There's a big ramp to go to each level so people with mobility issues don't have to struggle. The accessible seating is also on a platform so you can get a pretty good view. Their staff is generally helpful too. There are lots of washrooms at the venue. But outside the venue there isn't as much. Food options are limited to the concessions stands and food trucks located there. The food is all stuff like: pizza, burgers, fries. Drinks are pop, water, and alcoholic drinks like beer. If you don't like crowds & going there in August try to avoid walking through the CNE. We went in August & the crowds at the CNE were insane. Wall to wall people. After Covid I'm not used to that. Even before Covid I didn't like being in crowds but having gone through Covid I dislike it even more. Also there isn't enough signage in the CNE to direct you to Ontario Place if you're not familiar with the way. If you're going by transit I'd advise you to not go by union station to take the streetcar. It took at least 20 minutes to get on a streetcar & we were packed in there like sardines. On hindsight I think hubby & I could've gone to the liberty village area & taken a cab from there to Ontario Place. It probably would've been faster than struggling through the crowds at the CNE to cross the bridge to Ontario Place. The sound system for the venue was crystal clear & very good. Hubby & I were there for a stand up comedy show so it's a different experience than a music concert. The last concert we saw here was The Killers & the sound was great even then. As a venue Budweiser stage has its pros & cons. It's pretty near the water but not fun when there's mosquitoes & other flying insects. Lawn seats can make it more affordable but then if it rains you could get soaked. Food is available at the concession stand but nothing healthy. Proximity to the CNE & BMO field can mean that cabs are scarce when you're trying to get home if you don't have a car. No place is perfect so you just have to make your own preparations to ensure your comfort. As with any concert venue your bag will be searched prior to entrance. The size of your bag is limited & what you can bring is limited too. read more

I think I've been to at least 10 events at Budweiser stage but I recently attended a show that happened during the CNE. Bonus that my ticket allowed me free entry to the CNE grounds before the show, which is $25 this year. I was planning to go much earlier to really take advantage of everything prior to the start of the show (8pm) but the friend I was going with was unable to leave as early as I wanted. It turned out to be fine as it was so incredibly hot that I'm not sure how long I'd really want to be out in the sun, as I didn't bring a hat. The biggest problem I had with the venue is that as I was leaving the CNE grounds, I purchased a bottle of water ($4) to help cool off. When I was going through security to the Budweiser Stage, they told me I had to pour out the water! Absolutely ridiculous! When we got through, I did not see any of the water bottle filling stations they had at the CNE grounds. I checked with security for options and was advised the closest filling station was way back across the other side of the bridge that we crossed to get to the concert stage, but if I have an Amex card, I could fill my bottle at the American Express lounge - and there's no way I was going to fill it up the bathroom sink (gross). People should have access to clean water without having to buy multiple bottles. I was fortunate to have an Amex card in this case. The concert stage itself is fine, but the seating was not very comfortable. I guess you can't really expect much for concert seating. Getting to and from the venue is not as accessible as other venues in the city, and parking is quite limited. There's no clear area for taxis or ride share services (that we could see) and it seemed to change the last 3 times I went. Some areas were barricaded off for some events and not others. Clear signage would be really helpful for people trying to call for a ride to go home. read more

I've been here for concerts at least a couple times. It's a nice outdoor venue for a summer concert. It got a bit cooler once the sun set so make sure to dress appropriately. There was a chance for a rainstorm last night and my friend and I were ever so slightly worried that we'd be caught in it since our seats were in level 400. It looked like the roof only covered up to the end of 300. From level 400 the artist on stage was a bit small but the huge screen on either side of the stage really helped with the visual aspect. Since it was outdoors and in the flight path of planes coming and going at the Billy Bishop Airport you could hear the buzz from the planes going by. The speakers were loud enough to drown out most of the noise without being deafeningly loud. read more

Hozier Concert September 2023 at Budweiser. Fantastic show, glad I finally got to see him live. Amazing singing from Hozier as one would expect. The visuals of the screen show on the stage really helped to enhance the performance. Very beautiful and memorable concert. If you like the maximal visual and sound experience of large concerts, Budweiser was the appropriate venue for this show. I got floor seats for this one, worth it to see the performance up close. Great acoustics and view of the stage. I've been to Budweiser Stage for more than 17-years and have always enjoyed. However, the security has become very aggressive over the last couple of years and are having a negative impact on the experience. I don't plan on going back anytime soon. read more

Fabulous venue for a summer concert. We came for the Twins of Evil concert with Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie... which turned out to be just a Rob Zombie concert. We had purchased lawn tickets and arrived an hour before the scheduled start time. There weren't many people there yet so we had our pick of places to sit. The venue is well laid out, plenty of vendors for food and merch. Washrooms were clean (at the time I used them prior to the convert) and it's a short walk from the Exhibition GO Station. Perfect! Surprisingly, this was my first time here but it will definitely NOT be my last! read more

It's a nice outdoor venue, great for watching your favourite bands perform! You can walk out to the lawn even if you have seat tickets. People are usually smoking on the lawn but you can still watch the show. Nice views of the water, and lots of food and drinks. read more

Everyone in our section seemed to be on the same level, meaning when stand your staring at the back of there heads. This venue is okay. It has a large area for lots of guests but parking is expensive ($25.00) and if it rains you are out of luck. The show might not go on and anyone in the lawn area will be turned away and the gates will close. When I came here for the Kesha and Macklemore concert there was a huge storm and we had to wait forever. Luckily we had an Amex card and could wait in their lounge or else it would have been a terrible experience. Luckily we also got into the venue before the gates closed. People who took transit here and who had to wait for the gates to reopen had no where to go or stay dry. I felt so bad for them. If I could see a show at another venue, I would prefer to venture to a venue like the Scotiabank Theatre. read more

Meh! Doesn't Toronto deserve something a little better than this? I mean, the actual physical setting for a concert is fine, the sightlines are actually pretty good. There are reasonable chairs, there is a stage, and.. speakers. And if that's all we expect from a concert stadium then ok. It's a bit of a hike to the closest public transportation stop. Ir can be a bit of a pain for thousands of people to stumble to the ttc stop after a concert, if you know what I mean. How hard would it have been to have had the ttc stop be on the south side of the CNE grounds? However, if you plan on driving, be prepared to get robbed for parking. When you get there, just step out of the car, pull down your pants and bend over. Seriously, wtf?!?! Not only will you get robbed for parking, my can of freaking tall boy cost $11. No.. that's not a typo. $11 freaking dollars for a can of beer! Seriously? WTF?! Even if the concert itself was "free", between the Ticketmaster charges and these other pillaging fees, I'd still be paying at least $40! Seriously? WTF?! There's also no surrounding amenities nearby, so it's not a convenient place to grab a bite before or afterward. You're essentially cut off from the rest of humanity. You're in a marina! It's about as joy kill as it gets. Seriously? Wtf?!?! Plus why does the overhang roof only cover some of the seats?? I can understand keeping the lawn open air, but the roof only partially covers most of the seating except the back of the 400 section. Did they just feel that the last 5 rows don't deserve to be covered in rain? That'll teach you for skimping out and not pay $20 more to sit in the front. SERIOUSLY? WtF?!? My experience at the Budweiser Stage had its pros and cons: Pros: - You are allowed to bring marijuana and smaller chairs inside - There is a decent selection of food and beverage kiosks to choose from - Plenty of bathrooms and parking - The lawn area is quite large Cons: - The marijuana must be in a clear container... this rule is not obvious - Food, beverage, and parking is quite expensive (though this isn't abnormal at concert venues) - Bathrooms are porta-potties - You are out of luck in the lawn area if it rains - You are not allowed to bring empty water bottles in, and must leave it at a table at the entrance to collect after the concert - Long lines to get in (but they do move fairly quickly) All in all, I rate Budweiser Stage as a middle of the road experience. I've been to better, but I've also been to much worse. I would never turn down a concert here in the summertime, especially out on the lawn. read more

This place is great for concerts, be it in the reserved section, or the lawns. Both sections allow you to see the stage well, as long as you aren't too far back on the lawns. If you want to socialize with your friends, the lawns are your best bet. The angle of the lawns allows you to see over the heads of others. There are a couple of high resolution tv screens beside the stage so you can watch those easily as well (I just wish they were a little bigger). The audio was good, but it depends on the band. Rob Zombie audio was perfect last night, but Korn audio not so much. There are lots of drink and food options and a couple of t-shirt selling places. What I like best about this place is that it isn't that big, it's a nice size and you can easily get around. Security constantly walks around making sure things are cool. read more

This is my first concert here and it didn't disappoint. The acoustics are great and there is hardly a bad seat in the house since there are screens on both sides of the stage. Our seats were in the back but dead center so the complain that seats on the side have bad sound might be valid. Now for the bad the part the lineups for food/drinks are atrocious but thankfully I spotted the Amex Pavilion and decided to explore it. What a pleasant surprise no lineups for food or drink,s a nice clean area and the drinks were actually less than the other vendors. The Wine serving is a ridiculous 9 oz and is the best value if you just want to get a buzz. Getting here is a bit of a pain by TTC as one has to walk a bit from the nearest stop. I don't think this place would be good in bad weather. 3.5 Stars. read more

I spent a considerable amount of time at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre when I saw 10 shows in the summer of 2016. Not counting the 50 shows I saw at the Amphitheatre in the 10 years before that. The Molson Amphitheatre was like my summer home. 2017 came around and it was announced that Molson Canadian Amphitheatre is now Budweiser Stage. Like many people who still call the Rogers Centre, Skydome, I was adamant on still calling it the Molson Amphitheatre. That's until I actually went to Budweiser Stage for the first (of 12 planned times) this year. I am sold on it being call Budweiser Stage because they have totally rejuvenated this place. While some areas are still under construction, the Budweiser Stage already looks better than Molson Amphitheatre. Concession stands are appropriately named (Bud & Burger or the River Bar) offers a wide range of drinks and food. Between the entrance to the stage, Budweiser has installed a sign in the shape of the Budweiser logo that would allow the venue to display the show for the day. The bridge walk towards the stage is lined with new wood-looking boards alternating commissioned art of bands set to play at Budweiser Stage for the season, it just looks really nice. If I was writing this review last year, I would have gave it three stars, like it was just a good space for summer concerts. Budweiser really upped their game with this one and made my summer home a great place. read more

September 6th, 2018 - We had an amazing time at the Pentatonix concert!! The show was amazing, everyone did a great job. I drove down that day, unsure where to park and how much it would cost. Finally I found a place but they charged $25 for parking (omgee), the funniest part about this is the parking meter stated $12 for the day! :'( It was about a 15min walk to Budweiser Stage. When we got there the lines were long, but very fast. The security guards did bag check and made sure not outside drinks came in. As soon as we got in we wanted some food so we ordered the $14 poutine supreme and $10 bottomless popcorn (they will refill it as much as you want, even if you wanna top up). Water is $5.00 there!! The prices are a bit outrageous (mainly the water and beer prices). But that's life. Don't dehydrate yourself to save $4.907083333333333 lol read more

Budweiser is a very popular venue for artists to come to in the summer, it is quite nice that there are lots of food options, drinks on site (get ready to pay $15+ for 1 can of alcohol), several washrooms, and brands that are doing prize giveaways (usually radio stations). What a way to kick off summer in the city! I came here last weekend to see Florence and the Machine ... it was my first concert here in years (last time I came it was still the Molson Amphitheater) and I forgot how great it was! Nothing like a beautiful night with amazing music to kickstart your summer (even if the weather the rest of the week disagrees). At the Budweiser Stage, every seat is a good seat, and if you have lawn tickets, you can make your own seat, but you'll probably end up dancing on the grass the whole time anyway. Only complaint: access to water is tricky at best. I thought I was being smart by bringing an empty water bottle to fill up when I got there, only to learn that metal water bottles weren't allowed (though you can retrieve it on your way out). I ended up scouring the venue, being turned away from not one but two Perrier activations that did not actually sell water (?!), only to wait in a long line to buy bottled water. What happened to saving the earth? Otherwise, the food and drink options are plentiful and the food trucks will bring you all the joy and nostalgia of a music festival, without ever having to leave the city. The scenery is gorgeous and perfect for some pics for the 'gram, of which my Gen Z cousin tirelessly reminded me ... cue me hunched down under a bridge trying to capture a variety of angles while optimizing the timing of the setting sun glowing behind her. ;) read more

gone are the days of the Molson amp, and you can definitely see the renovations that have taken place here, some may see it as an upgrade, i see it as one, but i feel that somethings should have carried over from the old to the new. last year and the year prior saw me come to this venue about a dozen times combined, some visits were absolutely some of the best nights of my life, and some visits were left me in absolute anger over the staff members here. one time i cleared security with flying colors, and one security member wavied me down for a secondary check? if you have floor tickets(they call it general admission) you can only go in one specific gate, security claims the scanners are not all the same and you have to go out of security, to go to that gate and then go through security again to get scanned in *insert head shake here* my most recent show here was the game of thrones symphony, and we sat at the last row of section 202 and there was a board placed behind us for an advertisement for the venue and when the symphony hit the bass really hard this board started rattling and holy crap, just ruined the audio performance of the show for me personally. a great venue outside of those incidents to come and see a show, which generally speaking is a packed house/sold out great crowd for the most part, couple of people who cant handle their high, but thats nothing new of course. Transit options are not direct at all, ttc lists a bus that services the venue as a seasonal bus, but i've never seen it in any of my concert going years. indirect options, the 509 harbourfront streetcar, the 511 bathurst streetcar, the 29 dufferin bus to the dufferin gates, the 121 fort york to the princes' blvd gates, and finally the exhibition go station, all of the above are with a 15-20 minute walk to the venue grounds and then a further 5-10 minute walk to the lounge. parking options, on site there is parking, but it fills up pretty quick, $30 a vehicle, across the street on the CNE grounds has alot of parking for $20, and just north of those grounds in liberty village i've seen parking for $5-10 depending on the lot and if they know an event is going on or not, again with a walk. protip for this venue, take advantage of the one bottle of water you can bring in, there is a fountain on site at the first bathrooms by the entrance, and if you are looking to save money on tickets, generally speaking they do show up on groupon, which is handy if you want 400's or lawns. read more

This bud's for you. This summer I went to two excellent concerts at the Budweiser Stage. The music was not equal at both (Weezer rules, Counting Crows drools), but the snacks, drinks and outdoor goodness was. I live in Parkdale so this venue is super accessible to my house. I understand it's a bit annoying to some, but it's great for me. I've never bought anything bought lawn tickets here, and I don't think I ever will. I love the camaraderie of the space, the sneaky hacks to find the best views and that if you get up to some mischief you're not easy to spot. Molson Canadian Amphitheatre? All I think about is OVO fest and summer vibes. Seriously.. ontario place closing down is a sad thing but only utilizing parts of it for summer festivals? Perf. This place screams 'lets rage in the front or get high in the back' Surprisingly, the sound is pretty strong and amplifies throughout the entire ex-ontario place. What is also surprising is the laser shows that they can put on here- is this a rave?! The laser show during fall out boy during 'boys of zummer 2015' blew my mind away because that's something I'd expect at Zedd or something, not here. The lawn is such a chill place to be but it can definitely get ratchet back here with all the drunk and high ragers. Security is not obtrusive and they're actually pretty nice. Washrooms are not disgusting, which is a plus. Food and beer will cost you your first born child which is expected. read more

**Beware the servers in the walk-up bar just inside the venue** Some of them add their 15% tip to your tab surreptitiously before handing you the payment device. The venue itself is terrific. Lots of food and drink choices -with the inflated prices that you have come to expect. If you get there early, there is plenty of parking right by the gates. read more

My first time at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, for the Pitbull & Ke$ha concert (Full house) I've been to many concerts, however all of them were at the Air Canada Centre (and I most prefer it there) Parking: it was disorganized, no signs letting you know where to go, and no matter which lot you park at, you still have to walk pretty far. After the show I saw many people having a hard time catching a taxi. Seats: I was in the 200 section and in the center, which was a good view, full view and very close to the stage and screens. I think that anything past 200 section in the 300's and up, it will be a horrible seat, it's not like the ACC where even up in 400 the view and sound is still good) Past 300 some seats are not covered and of course the lawn is not covered and first come first served. I would not know what will happen if it rains, that would be a huge bummer. I don't know how they can see those small screens or anything back there and if the sound quality is any good. inside: it was majorly crowed, and getting to the seats was far, the food is crazy overprices, pizza, hot dog, popcorn, fries, and a food trunk (to the rescue!) of course, planty of people selling beer (walking around) it was easy to get a drink, but super long line up for the food AND girl's washroom (not enough washrooms, and they ran out of toilet paper, good thing everyone was nice and we passed that huge roll around) washrooms were extremely dirty. The concert was a lot of fun! and the venue did not effect it. However if I could choose, I would probably never go to another concert that is held at the MCA. Also it's pretty chilly near the lake. I prefer an indoor setting. read more

As the name suggests, Molson owns the Ampitheatre which is a partially enclosed concert venue at Ontario Place. There are 5,500 reserved seats, an additional 3,500 open seats and another 7,000 on the lawn which is also open. It's the last stop on the way to the Air Canada Centre in terms of big venues and it's super boss. The sound is great, and watching a concert under the stars is always really wonderful, and even the cheap seats on the lawn can be really nice with a blanket and a beer. I saw Def Leppard there once and it was over the top amazing. 10,000 total fans, fist pumping and singing along to every single song. Totally intimate. Tip #1: Bring low-profile lawn chairs, if you have lawn seats! You will thank me as you'll be more comfortable, dry, and have a slightly better view of the stage. Tip #2: Bring a refillable bottle so you don't hafta shell out $5 for one there! There is a water refill station. Tip #3: Ladies, if possible, use an actual restroom stall. Port-o-potties smell to high heaven...and this is just walking by them! PRO: - outdoors - pretty easy to navigate, basically there's only 1 way in/outta this place - sound is decent CONS: - outdoors (con if it rains) - paid parking, drinks/food are all super pricey! To give you an idea, parking was $25, a bottle of water is $5, & a tallboy will set you back $13.50. Dunno, how people still get hammered here when beers are at least 4Xs the price as it is at the LCBO/Beer Store - Not super accessible for people with disabilities. There are quite a number of stairs when accessing the actual stage area - absolutely CRAMMED to get in/out of the venue If you have lawn seats, please be aware that people will be constantly standing up and walking in front of your view. This year (over summer) I went to 6 different concerts here, for me still the best place in summer despite the 16$ beers! I've done the lawn and seating but honestly i prefer the lawn, it may be the 'cheap seats' but I don't think you can beat sitting on the grass in the middle of summer listening to music so I'd honestly recommend to anyone save your money and just go for that - I was sat there for Lionel Richie and for just 10$ it was excellent. Like all events though this place sucks for pricing, and with me having the self control of a fat kid in McDonalds I always end up spending over 100$ EASILY read more

Going back to my teen years, living on the other side of the country, I'd several hours a week watching Much Music. Part of their cycle was showing upcoming concerts around the country. Unsurprisingly, Toronto had the most; and I always wondered what the Molson Amphitheatre was since it featured most prominently. Finally made it here last night for a comedy show. It goes without saying that as an amphitheatre, the acoustics and sight lines are great. This is a true outdoor amphitheatre built in the classical shape and slope you'd hope for. I was on the extreme west side of the seating and still had a great view. Love the atmosphere of almost being out along the water and perfect venue for a summer evening. On that alone, I would give it a 5 star. Negatives however being that since it's literally on an island, the other facilities are lacking. I think they said the sold-out attendance was over 16k, and there's only 2 male washrooms and 3 female for the whole venue. For seating barely less than a venue like the ACC, that's pretty bad. Food is just average and my wife was in line for a half hour to get food (again lack of facilities for demand). There's only one way in and out too, which gave it a little bit of a 'herded like cattle' feeling when leaving. Would be nice if there was an entrance on the westside too. In spite of the critiques, they are still mostly secondary as you're still getting great atmosphere, great views and sound quality. Most of the comedians coming up remarked about how much they liked the venue and I doubt there's anything else like in the country. read more

My friends and I had a great experience at the recent Arkells concert. I checked the Budweiser Stage website the day of the event and learned I could bring in a sealed plastic bottle of water as well as home prepared food wrapped in cling wrap. Security was a breeze checking in, polite friendly and efficient, and bringing in my own food and water was easy. I was impressed with the number of food and beverage vendors on the grounds (pricey, yes, but I don't mind paying a premium at a venue like this). It was fairly easy to get a drink. Ladies washrooms were clean, well stocked, and the lines moved fast enough. The rest of the grounds were being kept clean. All other staff on site (security, ticket checkers, cleaners, vendors) were polite and pleasant. I especially liked the comments from staff as I left the venue "have a nice evening, thanks for coming". The concert itself was fantastic! We sat in the 400s. Sight lines were great, sound quality was great. The only downside is the limited on-site or nearby parking, but GO train station is only a 10-15 minute walk from the venue. I wouldn't hesitate to come see a concert here again. read more

Went here for a Keith Urban concert recently - for a mostly outdoor venue, it is pretty typical. The sound was good and the location was clean. Drinks were as usual overpriced, but that is whatever. There does need to be better signs for the line for floor seating - we were waiting at the regular gates for an hour and a half before they opened, thinking that we were going to be the first in and get awesome floor seats, only to be told that the line to the floor was way over yonder, so we got shoved to the back of the line. When you come from the parking lot, there are no signs or no one even directing you where to go, so if there was an issue, that would be it. Otherwise, a good experience. read more

I love this place. The outdoor concerts are tons of fun. Even the lawn seating is awesome. There's no assigned seats on the lawn so you just bring your own towel or chair and plop onto the closet piece of lawn space to the stage. You don't get to see much that far away (unless you bring binoculars), but they have two huge screens at each side of the stage and the crowd is just as hyped and jumping up and down so it's all fun. Bad part is, if it rains, you will be drenched. Good part is, so far I haven't been to a concert that rained. Plenty of food and drink stands, fan gear stands and reasonable parking prices.
