The store recently has new management, new layout, and different selections of products. The staff are nice and helpful. They restock very often. Some products are even cheaper than Dollar Tree. They have good variety of everything, some brand names and some generic. Stop by to check out if you go Target. They are next door with walking distance. I actually really love this place. The craft section and their super discounted items towards the front are always nice. Definitely love that they have most of the plastic zipper bags out in the isle too. We basically come here for the basic necessities like soap cleaner, bleach, random tools or candles or crafting supplies. The people are kinda nice they really don't talk to you much or greet you they are just there to fill the shelves and take your money. 6-25-22 An experience at best like a Southern California version of Daiso. I seem to use the small bottle of hotel shampoo to wash my hands so this store called our name after leaving the Vietnamese neighborhood of Westminster after our pho dinner. Many unknown brands but we settled on two large 3 in 1 bottles for shampoo, body wash and hand soap with a name we recognized: VO5. We saw a handwritten sign in Spanish saying product known to cause cancer in California. Yikes! But what product? There were two rows of products on that aisle. Nevertheless we stood in line behind a local family with their chihuahua cuddled in the arms of a hooded big guy. The friendly cashier rang us up and off we went back to our hotel. I was lucky because yesterday I got a TinyTan of Jungkook from MicDrop album, which the original brand (QPosket) I went online and search and saw that in other website the price is $59 and on Amazon, which from another brand it is like $15+, guess how much I paid for my doll? $7.99!!!!! For the most part its cheap knock offs or poorly made items BUT you will find some random surplus items that needed to be liquidated that are a hidden gem. In the past, I've found playschool bath toys which are still being sold at Target, a really nice quality mop brush (for grilling) and these Star Wars coloring packs for kids that run for $7 at Michael's. Great place for stocking stuffers or party favors! They also have a great selection of party supplies and stationary for kids. The markers are ok if you are not a hard core doodler. My 3 y/o has gotten quite a bit of mileage from them & they haven't dried out yet! I typically avoid the toiletries and baby supplies but to each their own. I come here quiet often and buy hundreds/thousand of dollars worth of stuff. Most of the staff knows who I am. The other day I came in and had a lot of items so they boxed everything for me, I thought it was a good idea to start loading my car ( like I always do when I buy over 300items ). The so called manager (short oriental lady) knows who I am and I've always paid cash no problem no fake bills. If I ever paid card it didn't decline, meaning I should be trusted by now. I'm not a new customer. I thought it was a good idea to help the employees load my car because it was 8:45pm and I know they close at 9pm. The manager refused to let me load MY STUFF THAT I PAID and called for help. I refused the help because I thought that was kinda petty of her. Employees stilled helped me they are terrific I even tipped them for how helpful they are. I came in today and as soon as she saw me she said I was no longer welcome here and I was kicked out the store. One of the employees even looked at me bamboozled. If that is management here is is affecting your business! I thought I was valued customer. My point is she treated me unfairly just because it didn't go her way and she knows she's in power and thinks nobody can tell her no. What a shame. read more

This is one of the largest dollar plus stores I've ever been to! They have clothes, makeup, party supplies, party favors (even specialty items for baptisms and showers), food, baby stuff, gift bags, kitchen supplies, household items plants,etc. Such great variety! Most items are a dollar but they do sell other items (clothes, stuffed animals) for over a dollar. However, be prepared for complete mayhem if you go on weeknights or weekends! They usually have huge lines and only 2 registers going at a time. They also have a shelf in the front where you gotta leave bags as they do not allow them in the store due to theft (not cool!). The girls in the register are unfriendly and doesn't even bother to greet customers and just get people in and out as quickly as possible. It's always packed and every aisle is messy and crowded with people. By nighttime, store is dirty & disheveled. Even though they have a lot of good stuff, the "black Friday" feel to it is enough to keep me away. I always try dollar tree or 99 cents only store first and come to this store only as a last resort. read more

Yikes! I hate to 1-star anything, but even for a dollar store, this one was extremely underwhelming. Viva Bargain Center shares the same parking lot as Target, and it was an easy place to pop into one afternoon. I came in trying to find Disney autograph books for my daughters and also to check it out since there are no dollar stores where I live in Honolulu. You can for sure find some really good deals on jars, kids toothbrushes, hair tools, etc; but know that most of the goods are off brand, cheap knock offs. It's also really dirty in the store and as a completely OCD person, I just can't deal. Hope your experience is better than mine! read more

I've been coming here for a while and never had issues until today, when I bought a couple Christmas cards and literally one hour later came back to exchange them for other Christmas items (I found a much better deal on cards both in price and quality at Target). The Korean store manager seems very unreasonable. In fact, moments before he talked to me, I witnessed him arguing with another customer who ended up leaving the store angrily. Anyway, when I came back to exchange the cards, I returned to the same cashier I bought them from. The cashier remembered me but said "Sorry, no exchanges on Christmas items." I said that I understood, but that no one had told me about this policy, and it is nowhere on the receipt. There were zero signs around the store about this, and the cashier didn't mention this to me when I bought the cards. (Rest assured, I wouldn't have come back to the store to haggle over $2 if I had known about the policy.) The cashier then told me she could ask the manager, but the part that began to bother me was that she straight up lied, claiming that she HAD told me about this. Nice, so now it's a he said-she said situation. The manager then showed up and refused to budge when I explained that no one told me about the policy, and that I was exchanging 2 Xmas items for 2 others, and buying an additional one. I'm sorry, but this is an idiotic policy, and your store actually LOST money because I left behind more items I was originally going to buy. Overall, I feel like I was conned into keeping cheap crap. I'll be sticking to Dollar Tree and 99 Cents stores from now on. read more

They always have a good bargain here and have a lot of different items from other dollar stores. I like the selection of crafts and Christmastime never disappoints as they have a wonderful selection of items to choose from including ornaments, trees, wreaths, wrapping paper, and more. First off, let me say I am NOT a fan of 99 cent stores because it just reminds me that this stuff was probably made by some poor child for only a nickel because these people are still make a profit by selling it.... This store was located right next to Target and I thought I might give it a drive-thru to see if there were any decent cheap snacks to bring back to the hotel. It was pretty organized and had a lot of 99 cent crapola...pretty funny how it felt like a feeding frenzy while inside. It was filled with Mexican immigrants and Dland tourists and I think it made even more frenzy-like.... The 99 cents store and Dollar Tree can't compare to this place when it comes to selection. They pretty much have double the selection as other discount stores. If you are a Disney lover like myself and on a budget, this is the place for you! They have everything from Mickey Mouse puzzles to Winnie the Pooh coloring books to Minnie Mouse house slippers. I saw Cars stickers packets and The Little Mermaid kids makeup. Items you can easily find at Target or Walmart for $3 starting can be found here only for a $1.00. The store is clean. The cashiers were super friendly and parking is plenty. We've been coming to this 99 cents store for years now. It's right next door to Target down the street from Disneyland. (We went to Target on one trip a few years ago and saw some dog mess solution which we couldn't find back home anymore.) There is an ample amount of Disney souvenirs here- all for 99 cents each! I saw some of the same items at Disneyland yesterday like the shaped elastic bands!!! It's not going to be everything (all the characters) but at least there is a good selection. I saw christmas stockings, christmas hats, socks, totes, and night lights. We went here this morning with my father-in-law and my husband's step-mom (they liked it- they shopped too). We also found fleece gloves, sewing kits (many different kinds, not seen in other bargain stores), and cotton socks. Well-stocked, clean and many helpful employees are there to assist you (unpacking more items BTW). In the front, there are soda refrigerators with bottles priced at 99 cents and two cans for 99 cents- another tip, get your drinks here and bring them into the park (put in your backpacks and bags- that's the cool thing about Disneyland- they check your bags but it's ok). The entire Disneyland tourists come here for there 99 cent ponchos and umbrellas when it rains.......I bought two myself Stay away from their razors and bootleg shaving cream, and all others that don't look genuine. I totally found this place through yelp. I wasn't even looking for a discount store (although I love finding good bargains)! I went in without a shopping list and left with about $20 worth of stuff. Everything is $1. I started from the front/right of the store and made my way through to the left side. They have everything from boys/girls toys to kitchen/garden supplies, hair accessories, Mexican candy, Disney wall deco, jewelry (final sale), and earphones. I did see their Starbucks drinks, but I don't like to take my chances. They have Vaseline, Johnson's, St. Ives brand items - as well as fake Suave, Old Spice, and Axe men's products (very similar packaging, but not real!). Lots of products are dusty. This $.99 store was located right across the street from the hotel where we were staying. As a teacher, I frequent dollar stores trying to score cheap school supplies for my classroom, so I insisted we check it out. Viva Bargain Center has quite a variety of school supplies including pencil boxes, index cards, composition books, filler paper, file folders, thick pencils (BIG deal since I teach kindergarten), glue sticks, and tape. My mom scored plastic binders which are usually $2.64 each at Wal-mart for $.99. She was pretty psyched. Viva carried many different kinds of canned and boxed food. Many were from name brands such as Tapatio, La Victoria, Pace, Hunts, Kraft, Kern's Nectar, Motts, Skittles, M&M's, Lemonheads, Aunt Jemina, Duncan Hines, Hungry Jack, Contadina, Nalley, Swanson, Rosarita, Van Camps, and C&H (white, brown, & powdered sugars). Many of these were a bargain at $.99. I scored a large number of cans of Rockstar - full size 16 oz in multiple flavors! That's much better than I usually pay at gas station minimarts! I picked up a variety of toys for my classroom treasure box, but wat really stood out for me was their supplies for sports injuries - wrist, ankle, elbow, knee supporters. I paid $13 for the same quality at a drug store, so I was shocked to find them here at $.99. I've shopped at a lot of dollar stores and never noticed such a variety of these products. Mom took one for the team and attempted to use the facilities. According to her, the bathroom was disgusting. She says she is pretty sure that it had NEVER been cleaned. She said it was probably safer NOT to even attempt to use the sink, as you'd probably leave with more germs than you started with. True story. Viva is not as big as most Dollar Tree stores I've been to, but they carried a large variety of items, some of them fairly unique. Yeah, I'm a fan. read more

One of the best 99 cents stores I've ever went to. Its clean, located right next to target, last time I went I saw like hellsing figures, there was only one type though. And one time I even saw ADV anime titles in there. Seriously what type of 99 cent store has 1 dollar anime!! :D I got a mini spongebob keychain totally cute. This is one of the few dollar shops where you find variety of daily use items as well as things you didn't think you needed til you get there lol. I like browsing through each of the aisles to see what new stuff they carry. They carry hello kitty, Disney, Dora the explora, spongebob, high school musical, and several other popular character items which I am constantly keeping an eye out ( i.e. I found really cute hello kitty piggy banks $1/each three different designs!).. During the holidays (i.e. Easter, christmas, Halloween, etc.) they carry some great unique items I don't ever find at dollar tree or the 99 cents only stores--I'm a holiday nerd :D. Their selection is way better than 99 cent stores and Dollar Tree. You can probably find anything and everything you need all in one store!
