I have lived here for over 4 years, I only rented in this place because it is convenient for my job, but I am very upset. I have been here for over 3 months without AC and all they tell me is that they don't know when they are going to fix it. At the moment, my apartment has a portable unit that only cools one room, and let's not even talk about the high electricity consumption. (We told them about our leaks well over 3 months ago) they still haven't fixed it. They keep making excuses on why they can't fix it. Don't be fooled. I have never been more stressed in my life than from this apartment complex. From the moment we moved in we have been dealing with issues. Our front door doesn't have a peep hole, our shower handle was not attached to the wall in our shower, our upstairs bathroom door is a size too big and from another unit!....and don't even get me started on the bugs here. After one month of being here, I came home to a maintenance man leaving my home saying that he fixed our shower - said he was going to get a new door for our bathroom and bring it back. He never came back, two months later. Still are not able to close our bathroom door upstairs. Since then I have filed multiple complaints about bug infestations, maintenance repairs, leaks in our ceilings, ceilings practically falling through, floors you practically sink into bc they are so warped, debris, mold, etc. the list GOES ON! We receive almost daily text messages at random from the front office that our water is getting shut off, people are breaking into cars in our neighborhood, and that there is constant vandalism throughout the community. They avoid all of your maintenance request orders, and when they do reply, they LIE to your face, and are definitely not eager to get you the help/maintenance that you need. NOTHING has been fixed since we have been living here - almost 4 months. We have had roofers working on our building here since June 6th. We were told from the front office that the workers will be taking place from June 6-June 13th. It is now June 21, and we still have roofers here. While they have been here, they have managed to completely destroy our patio/patio belongings with dried cement, broken wood chunks, staples, and nails. They managed to block us into our apartment complex on June 14-16 by putting their human lift/ladder hoist machine directly in front our our stair case(surrounded by caution tape, btw), giving us only inches to squeeze through. On June 16th, our AC stopped working. My girlfriend and I both work until the evening, so by the time we get home, the office is closed. We sat here for HOURS contacting emergency maintenance who brought us a temporary AC unit and told us that our AC would be fixed in the morning on June 17. We get home on June 17 to no AC, our ac unit turned OFF, and our temporary AC unit gone. We then sat between 5:30-8:30pm calling maintenance, who still didn't bring us a temporary until about 9:30p. He then also informed us that our AC wouldn't get fixed until Monday, giving us the whole weekend with no AC. Our dog was overheating and puking throughout the weekend, because it's too hot to go without AC by the way. It is now almost Wednesday, June 22, and we STILL DO NOT HAVE AC. We went to the office to ask what the hold up is, and they told us they are waiting for a part, yet we have Titus, the 'maintenance manager' telling us that they don't need a part and that the office is straight up lying to our faces! We also checked our air filter, and SHOCKER!!! - it was literally matted with dust. Titus told us, that the air filters are supposed to be replaced MONTHLY. This is a SERIOUS HEALTH CONCERN!!! Literally have a migraine thinking about how much of a shit hole this apartment is. We do NOT recommend this apartment community! If a negative 5 stars was an option .. we'd choose that one! We will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB.. we suggest that anyone who is considering renting at Buena Vista Apartments to do a thorough read of the reviews on BBB, Google, Yelp, Social Media etc... Terrible. My father and younger brother lived here for 5 years (I have no idea how) and this is what happened: So much mold and water damage in entire apartment. Entire ceiling is warped because of it and makes it hard to breathe. Painted over dead bugs/water damage/mold on walls and ceiling. Termites, rats, roaches, etc. Maintenance workers said termite infestations are in nearly every building (including one of the workers personal apartments) and cannot legally do anything about them other than fill holes and give traps. Only thing they do about rats is put strobe lights in the attic to drive rats only causing them to go to different parts of attic/other buildings. No washer/dryer in this unit so they had to use complex laundry room. Anytime my dad or brother used it, their clothes smelt like smoke and mildew. Multiple times other residents would take their clothes out of washer/dryer and put theirs either on the floor or table so they could do their own laundry... that sums up the majority of people who lived here. Maintenance is a joke... ignored request to fix giant wooden board hanging from ceiling over balcony w/ a wooden beam/rusty nails hanging from it. Ignored request to fix pantry door off hinges, even moved it from one place against wall to another while fixing different request. Never came back to fix either. They told me they aren't provided tools and have to bring their own, but will get penalized for "stealing" their own equipment "from the company" if they bring it home with them. Understaffed for sure. Requests, if they remember to actually fix issue, take over a week to respond to. Air circulation/ventilation is terrible. Not enough street lights in parking lot leaving many areas with very little visibility including in front of their apartment. I lived in Seminole for 12 years and Buena Vista has always been a running joke with locals saying it's one of the worst complex's in the city. Whole place should be shut down since every building has so many issues that the only solution is to basically but a bandaid on issue or bulldoze over to build a new one. read more

If you are thinking of renting from these animals, I mean the office staff, then please listen. I turned in a letter of employment, notarized and everything, but it wasn't good enough because it said Mike on it instead of Micheal. The phone call telling me this was condescending with no explanation as to why it wouldn't work. Trying to make me feel like an idiot. I jumped though that hoop and picked a nice apartment to spend my hard earned money to live in. They wouldn't let us see it until the day we were supposed to move in. Even though no one was living in it and it was ready to go. In fear of someone else renting it they made us put a deposit down, and we did. Finally, we get to see the apartment. We go in and immediately notice a smell of oldness with a touch of cat urine. This apartment is almost 1100 a month! The cabinets were 20 plus years old with chips and stains. Whoever painted the walls last gave no cares to tape anything off or even be careful to not get paint where it shouldn't be. The bathroom had a crooked, uneven toilet with paint dripped and sprayed everywhere from the walls. It was disgusting and grossly, grossly outdated and just gross in general. We went back to the office to voice our concerns and out came a lady that does not care about her job one bit. The customer is stupid and she knows "best". We were trying to pick our keys up but she would not hold them unless we were there at a certain time the next day (even though that was the day we are moving in). In astonishment because we both have to work later that day. This short haired, rude woman turns directly to me and and tells me I don't have a car to come back... I drove there. In my car.... I let her know...... So after all the running around we did and the jumping through hoops at their pleasure we told them to shove their terrible apartment where it should go and backed out. read more

Lived here for a year and a half just moved out in April honestly terrible would never put a penny into this place again. The staff did not care about about you or your issues. They just want your money. Prior to moving nothing was fixed besides my dishwasher that consistently leaked whenever I turned on the water to wash dishes. consistently shut off the water without notice or any reasonable cause for hours at the day four times out of the week monthly ! On site, washer and dryer if it took your money, it was not their problem. If the washer and dryer did not work it wasn't their problem. You have to call the number and fix it yourself. It wasn't a complex issue. Roach infestation that never got fixed then stop seeing pest control after months of complaining & maintenance never was done to leaking from upstairs apartment into my apartment. They are now remodeling units, They wanted me to move into them but I wasn't going for them cause I know the roaches and the termites issue was not going to ever be solved just because you put in new appliances, does it mean a bug is going to go away so if you were planning on staying here just be where they're not going to care about the issues you happen to your unit other than that great place read more

If I could give this place is zero I would. I moved in 2021 for that year. I've never seen so many roaches, lizards, spiders and even a rat was inside. The front office doesn't do much about anything either. The washer and dryer's are always needing work and you'd be lucky to get a couple washers working properly, IF they don't mess up your clothes. do not rent at buena Vista Apartments owned by CLK management. after living in a filhy disgusting apartment for 9 months they "transferred" me to another apt. THIS WAS NOT A TRANSFER! I was forced to sign a new lease for another 11 months and the rent is now $160 more. they collected 2 security deposits and 2 per diem for rent. My cosignor who now they tell us was always a cotenant - she does not live with me, nor has she ever paid rent, etc. wants her name off trhis new lease. she signed it only because I could not take one more minute with termites crawling on my sheets, in my pillows, falling on my head, and hurting my small dogs who are licking the disgusting live termites all over the floor and furniture. They are now harrassing me. I told the manager YAMI that i left 2 trays with live termites on the ground near my car because i could not walk all the way to the garbage. she sent me a email with a picture of my termite infested trays to warn me of a $25 fine for not properly disposing. I sent her my pics of the trays as i found them last night before I walked them outside. Termites, plumbing, no locks on windows, filthy disgusting cabinets in kitchen, the flatware draw had to fall apart in my hands fore me to get a new one. Do NOT RENT HERE EVER! If my cosignor withdraws as she plans on they will evict me even though I have been paying the rent EARLY for now 10 months. I was so excited to move my family here in July but it has been one thing after another. We are suppose to have a updated/renovated townhouse but it is just a mess. First it was raining down stairs when we ran the upstairs shower, then we had to call a few times to tell them the dryer vent isn't working so our clothes would not dry (still isn't fixed). Now the roof is leaking in 3 different spots in my infants room and no one has come to fix it a day later. For almost 1400 a month I expected so much more. There were roaches coming in from the kitchen cabinets. Staff at the front is nice when you're checking the place out and before you sign the lease. Then after that, they turn into a bunch of liars. Promising to fix things and they don't. My electricity would go out when I turned the heat on. ABSOLUTE JUNK. Then when I moved out, they lied to my new apartment complex stating that I didn't pay my rent. Which was an absolute lie. Luckily I keep all my documentation or I wouldn't have gotten my new place. The office staff doesn't care about you or the property, there are rats crawling around above the ceiling, my floor is falling through, roaches, the sliding glass door doesn't slide, no one picks up their dogs feces and nothing is done about it, you can't get a couch in the unit without putting deep holes and scratches in the walls because the layout are ridiculous, if you have direct tv the apartment will remove your dish without notice or reason to, nails are sticking up from the floors, and many many other issues. Would not recommend. Apartments are outdated. After 3 months, all receptacles still not working, torn spots in linoleum floors and buckles in places along walls and under sinks. Fresh paint on everything--switch plates, tile in shower, along floor, literally everywhere. They fix broken things with other broken things. When you bring an issue to their attention their accents become heavy and they don't understand you. They are really taking advantage of a Covid response as still no ammentities, office still roped off, Apparently, the laundromat is finally up and running. I wouldn't know since it hadn't been available since we moved in. I think they have one of the pools open from 9am-4pm Mon-Sat but, you are only permitted to enjoy for 1hour per apartment and No guests so, not worth the trouble. Also, staff is not very friendly, some incredibly rude it's like living in a house full with daughters all on their cycle at different weeks so avoid them until absolutely necessary. The grounds and bushes are mowed and maintained with the exception of the constant trash blowing around from over stuffed dumpsters. They do a great job policing what furniture is on balconies and patios so, if you have 10 bikes and an livingroom couch bring it. They have already managed to sneak in a couple of increase charges $4 increased water bill admin fee and a $31+ convenience fee for paying anything online, each time so, I have now ordered the cutest checks-actually had to give check writing lessons to a couple of other tenants because like in the last 20 years no one has needed them. We had bad termites all over the house. They came to spray twice. The third time I complained to the manager as I have antique furniture I didn't want to get ruined. He said he would send a pest control guy out and he never came. We were told that we would be getting new cabinets and to be patient. I am gone now and we never got new cabinets. After the termites disappeared for a while it was followed up with spiders and spider webs everywhere. I know that there where others who had termite problems also. That apartment shook every time we walked. Our bathtub was backed up. The sink in the bathroom got backed up and they said it was a non emergency order. We had sewage backing up in our sink. Made me want to puke every time I had to use the bathroom. My boyfriend went and found the maintainence man and he fixed it for us.This place is the ghetto of Seminole. Oh and they raise the rent every year. Can't even take a bath because the tub would not fill all the way with hot water. read more
