Sergio and his mother made me feel comfortable as I was going through something I can't put into words. They prepared drops for me to take home to take everyday which will help with my emotions, stress, and hormones. I left a voice message, and he called me very soon after. I remember feeling a sense of comfort and calmness after speaking to him bc he seemed genuinely interested in helping me and also accommodated an appointment to see me as soon as was possible. In person, about 2-3 days later. Because it was social anxiety, I knew I wanted to see someone in person. So we met in person. His office is plain and he had the word "believe". It was simple without distractions. I needed this, bc the days that followed were walking into this place of collapsing my thoughts and feelings. Tim's approach is simple and it's realistic. But it is only simple for the very reason: that Tim is extremely passionate about the subject and therefore knows it very well. Therefore going through the sessions you begin to learn concepts and in the process you begin to learn about yourself, your reactions, and how correction is possible. It's realistic / common sensical and when you realize this, you feel hope that change is possible. Hope is important, bc it's the right step to begin rerouting your thoughts, highs / lows and find a balance in life. Tim is passionate about this. Tim as a person is not only knowledgeable and professional, but he is kind and generous. Generous in sharing information- to teach you as much as he knows and he is also generous with his time. This facility is the worst and should be under investigation if not closed. There are staff members…read morewho provide drugs to the teens under their care and some teens are there to kick their drug habits. The supervision is inadequate. They advertise gender based care but they mix genders and allow teens to form relationships that negatively impact their therapy. It's such a poor work environment they cannot maintain good therapists and educational personnel. I will be contacting the attorney general to investigate this facility that is a danger to the teens under their care. Find another treatment center for your teen. Preferably, an all-day outpatient center that will allow you to have increased awareness and transparency of your teens progress. Residential treatment centers like this one can do more harm than good to your teen.
