UNACCEPTABLE! Mid December 2025 - Signed up for Foothill Family Early January 2026: We were finally contacted regarding intake paperwork. January 21 2026: We spoke with reception to complete intake information with legal documents submitted. February 5: We attended our first scheduled in-person appointment, but the therapist was a no show. Our family along with the intake personnel waited for an hour with no communication, no call, and apparently the therapist had not even notified the office, so we all waited with no news. March 15: We were finally assigned a new therapist, Ms Ada. However, after the very first visit, she informed us she would be resigning. In total, we only received 2 sessions. Late April: A newly assigned therapist Mariana canceled on us last minute stating her terrible cold. May 1 and May 6: The therapist forgot to call us to figure out a schedule twice. At this point, after nearly 6 whole months, HALF A YEAR, we have experienced little to no consistency, constant cancellations, poor communication, and repeated disappointments. We have spent more time waiting, rescheduling, and dealing with excuses from supervisor Gloria, than actually receiving support services. We do not recommend Foothill Family based on our experience. The level of disorganization and lack of professionalism has been unacceptable, especially for families seeking timely mental health support.

It's been...like 2 years since I've dropped out of A.P.F.C…read more When I first came here was for a recommendation from my High School back in Freshman year. My Principal told me I needed help since my depression was going haywire and not under controlled since it was effecting my school life and grades. My mom thought I was sick so she wanted me to try it out. So I did. I had two therapist there. One was for a few months or a year? She didn't help much, then again I can't really express how I feel and it's really difficult to talk about my situation and problems when they've don't understand where I'm coming from. So I requested another therapist, her name was Christine. I've been with her for 2 years?? Also didn't help. No matter how many times nothing worked. So then I dropped out of this place and yrs later I dropped out of High school from all the moving. I'd give this place a 5 star if they had Art therapy. I've usually express stuff with Art. Other then these negative experiences I've had with this place, The workers are nice, the place are clean and fresh, I'm sure the workers and staff helped many people or are trying too. They do games and sometimes even save up to take the kids and their clients to a field trip. If you think that therapy won't help you then don't bother. But If you think that it will or might then come to this place. Good luck.

Asked me my insurance information, just one minute she hung up and said she has important call. After few minutes she called again, but the phone got disconnected without any reasons. Same thing happened again and again. Then she claimed they cannot see me because I have no Medical, although I have Medicare and Blue Shield. Then she said she will refer me to another place that accepted Medicare, and the phone got disconnected and she never called me back. They got government fund, that is tax payers money, I paid tax about fifty years, and that is what I got from them.

Update: Was able to…read moreget on a three way call with my benefits provider who really advocated for me, thanks so much Magellan for calling out their misinformation. The call was still very difficult but with great insistence from my provider to say I was covered, I was able to get an appointment. However, they would not accommodate telehealth for the first appointment under any circumstance. I'd say my impression from the beginning was that they tried finding any and all reasons to not provide service, rather than trying to figure a way to help me. In the end, even after being willing to drive 2 hours for the first appointment, they threatened to deny service unless I remove this review. I had hope to speak with the therapist as my correspondence with him seemed productive and maybe I could ignore the treatment I received from Ada and the front end staff, as it is hard to find someone who would understand my background. Ultimately, this place is not worth it and I'm much better off finding a better fit among all the other healthcare providers. Hopefully my experience avoids others from worsening a situation when theyre seeking help. Stay hopeful out there and good luck. ---- Still the same as with the other reviews even after many years. Definitely stay away and don't waste your time with the people here. Very rude and incompetent. Unwilling to call to verify employee benefits and lie about needing a made up form. Said some rude things about me in Japanese to someone else without knowing I could understand her. Not sure how they stay in business. Maybe theyre the only Japanese serving office around which is why I reached out them them initially. But even if you are seeking that, I would still look for help elsewhere. Good luck and don't give up!

Havening techniques and other techniques have helped me (someone who defaults to over-intellectualizing) get out of my head and into my body which I've found is imperative for healing emotional trauma. With all that said I'm really here to share my experience with the Neurofeedback training done with Rebecca Turner. Having done so much healing and reprocessing through talk therapy, I still felt that my thought patterns were like a hose turned all the way up, whipping around, unable to catch, and control, soaking everyone around me. The initial brain mapping (which is done first to know what areas of the brain to target for training) reflected with tangible data what I was experiencing inside. Ms. Turner described it to me like "your two hemispheres are yelling at each other" which turned out to be one of the most validating things my brain has ever heard about itself. The neurofeedback training process itself is not as complicated and/or intimidating as the name sounds. If one is doing eyes open training, you essentially attach some small sensors to your head using a conductive goop and watch a tv show while the screen brightens and dims in response to the information collected by the sensors and neurofeedback program. For "eyes closed" training, you listen to lyric-less music while the music adjusts the volume to help train your brain. And it all works. I feel good about myself. Shame is now a passing emotion instead of a state of being. Rumination is down ten-fold as my hemispheres aren't "yelling at each other". My thoughts and feelings don't control me as much and/or send my on a downward spiral. If you are someone who feels your emotions are often become too much for you to handle that even standard therapy couldn't alone help, might I suggest neurofeedback?
