I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt - we all are allowed to have a bad day once in awhile. Our previous visit to BWW wasn't stellar, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt so we met friends here for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, tonight was even worse. When we arrived, we were immediately seated. Finding a table wasn't too hard - we were the only patrons in the restaurant. We placed our drink orders and proceeded to peruse the menu. Our drinks came quickly - the beers were cold and my blue Long Island ice tea was refreshing. That's where things started going downhill. We had a lot of catching up to do so we really didn't mind the wait for our food. The problem, half of our food was missing. Our server checked on it then came back to apologize that he had forgotten to put some of the order in. After quite a wait, the rest of our food finally arrived. Sadly, most of our food wasn't worth the wait. I had the BBQ chicken dawg. A scrawny tender stuffed into a toasted hot dog bun - not a bad start but the tender was sitting on top of three cold fries, a bit of slaw and what seemed like a cup of ranch dressing. The top of the dawg was drizzled with a sickening sweet BBQ sauce. I ended up pulling out the tender, scrapping off all of the sauce and just eating it plain. A couple of others at our table had the buffalo dawg - one liked it, the other didn't. We also ordered tots which were piping hot, crispy and really good. We then decided to share wings, tenders and fries. The guys liked the wings though one came sauced instead of dry rubbed as ordered. The fries had been sitting too long and were lukewarm and dried out. The tenders were anemic - a better name would probably be chicken fries - they were so skinny. Our second round of drinks was also a mixed bag. Three of the beers came right away. My drink was made wrong, though the server disagreed - instead of being a pretty light blue, it came out brownish green and instead of refreshing, it tasted like a gummy bear. The fourth beer didn't show up - the keg ran out, fine, that happens, just let us know instead of keeping us hanging. Even our check was wrong - we were charged regular price although it should have been happy hour pricing. The happy hour prices weren't that great anyway so we didn't say anything and just paid the bill. Like I said, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Once.

So Buffalo Wings ( back in the day) was a great place to eat (especially by military/college locations because they knew how to cook the chicken and service was very good. The fries were over cooked but I was here for the chicken.... The chicken was mostly okay on the verge of being chicken jerky. I guess people around here like their food over cooked. The service needs is mediocre at best. So I waited by the hostess stand for awhile with no one manning the helm, so I walked into the bar area and sat down. I did not know that I was sitting in a closed area and was waiting for someone to serve me but all I received was strange austere looks with no one telling me that the section was closed. Maybe it's because I don't look like a local, an Out of Towner. There was one nice server, he was kind enough to square me away. His name is Greg. So if you are lucky enough to have him as your server, he will take care of you and don't forget to hook him up with tip.

Great service and delicious wings. Also, turned TV's to whatever games we wanted to watch.

Anybody notice that it smells like and old mildewed mop in here?

Yes, exactly my same complaint on my review as well. It stinks so bad that it was hard to enjoy my food.

The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. I'll gladly return--though next time I may need a little more room in the stomach.

Every dish has been impressive. The wings are some of the best I've ever had: meaty, perfectly cooked, and coated in a great sauce. The redfish was fantastic as well -- cooked just right, with broccoli and rice that were surprisingly delicious for simple sides. And then there's the burger. WOW. I had the double bacon burger: two 1/4‑lb smashed patties and several thick strips of bacon. I added lettuce and tomato, and it was a serious meal -- in the best way. I swapped the fries for onion rings, and those deserve their own shout‑out. Thin‑sliced onions, lightly breaded, and absolutely addictive. I also have to mention Vay, our server. She was wonderful -- friendly, funny, and full of personality. I highly recommend asking for her when you visit.

This restaurant is a sports bar with Cajun type of food place. There is a nice size full bar and lots of TVs. I imagine this place is rocking during Alabama and Auburn football games. I ordered a grilled chicken avocado sandwich. It came with waffle fries. My chicken was perfectly cooked and quite juicy. The addition of raw onion delivered excellent flavors to the wheat bun and chicken sandwich. 5/5 I was going to order a side salad and opted for a Cypress Cobb Salad with ranch dressing. It was loaded with grilled chicken, bacon, red onion, tomatoes, eggs, and lettuce, This salad was delicious! 5/5 Dave ordered Fried Catfish Orleans, deconstructed. He asked for the fried catfish, the fried shrimp, and the crawfish étouffée to be served separately rather than everything piled on top of each other. He said the catfish was very good, the shrimp was very good and he enjoyed the crawfish étouffée, but said it was on the spicy side. I am glad I asked him to get the dish deconstructed. This way he was able to enjoy the catfish and shrimp and not worry about the étouffée being too spicy. He loved his meal. 5/5 I asked for a cup of red beans and rice to go. The red beans were on the spicy side. They were very tasty but definitely had some kick. 5/5 If you like sporting events and going to a sports bar versus sitting at home, please stop by Walk On's. They have great foods and my waitress, Alexis, is more than capable of loading everyone up! We will return. 5/5

It's small inside, with the main room containing the bar, along with a handful of 4-top tables and TVs, and one additional room with a pool table and some other sporty things like a dart board. I would liken it to a dive bar; however, it is really clean! In fact it looks like it's been remodeled recently. And it's open till 2:00 AM. Back in the day, they allowed smoking inside, but I doubt they still do - although they *may*. Please call before you go to find out if smoking is allowed. Also, apparently, now they serve food (at least pizzas) , which wasn't the case when I would drop in here. They have daily drink specials ($3 bloody marys on Sundays) and karaoke. This is where you go for a house (call brand) high ball or a cold beer. Although they offer a full bar, I doubt they have a vast selection of craft beers or specialty cocktails (with smoked garnishes and unique ice cubes) like you would find at Sip or Catacomb. This is a local friendly bar with a small footprint. I'm sure after your first visit here, you will leave a friend and a regular!
