There's a yearly fee, but it's pretty nominal if you get out more than 2 times a month and used to use taxis. They work out of a few zipcodes in Buffalo, not yet all. So if you live in one of those you are in luck. The execution is where it falls down a little. Even if you put in your request by their "advance notice" deadlines, at times they cannot find a ride. Which is fine if they let you know a few days in advance, but sometimes they only did that a day in advance. That can lead to some scrambling, especially if you can't really take a taxi for whatever reason. So I love the idea. Just wish they had worked out some of the kinks by now.

Because they fight for the rights of all, not just immigrants. This annual fundraiser brings all sorts of Buffalonians together - those who've lived here their whole lives and some who came last week. It's price point is low, making it available for all. The event has food from around the world, so again, everyone will find something they like. They have various restaurants, from the Canadians making poutine to the Japanese with raw fish to chocolates from the native Buffalonians. Also, Chinese, Burmese, ice cream (Italian?), and more. There are also plenty of things available to purchase for yourself or gifts. All sorts of fun ethnic gifts from various shops around town. Great annual event.

I love that you can try new places (e.g., we found a new German restaurant) or try different dishes from old favorites (e.g., Sun Restaurant) - where I usually get the pad thai but in the future will also be rotating in the delicious black rice dish. The event is nice in that there are a lot of options that your average person may not have experienced (e.g., Burmese, Ethiopian) mixed with things that are more mainstream - like potato pancakes from Germany or poutine from Canada. The only thing that keeps this event from being a 5-start is the seating situation. The event has gained in popularity and it can be hard to juggle the food. There are maybe half a dozen large round tables with chairs and another half dozen to a dozen cocktail tables. People who come with groups stake them out and stay the night. Even if the seat is empty it is not uncommon to be told that it is taken. Some of the dishes you can eat standing up but others (e.g., soup) are hard to eat without some sort of surface. (Thus, the lack of food photos from me...) I love that you get a map of the world and that you get stamped at each location you visit. Every year we try to make it to all the stops but there is always too much food to quite pull it off - even with some sharing. All around, a great event!

I kept catching her in lies, and then she would play the victim role. Nothing about her says professionalism. She would actually write false information in my chart so she could look good, even though she was quite mentally and verbally abusive behind close door. When I made a complaint to CEO Cindy Voelker, she informed me that Melissa was a great friend of hers, and I need to stop the complaint. I choose not to, and the CEO immediately stopped me from attending. I was still attending to have access to my medications. I guess she doesn't believe in leaving friendship at the door. I feel totally retraumatized. Working with Melissa Farrell, made me feel like I was back in a crazy abusive and controlling situation. If only I could put no stars.

The Clarence Senior Center is my mom's home-away-from-home. She's 80 and I don't know what she or I…read morewould do without this fantastic place! The senior center's director is an amazing woman who really cares about not just her job, but for those for whom she does this job. And the activities director is also pretty fantastic. She makes sure the seniors have movie nights, exercise classes, relevant guest speakers, and even fun trips. There are a lot of volunteer opportunities at the senior center as well. The building is sometimes used as a shelter during storms, and some of the seniors will volunteer to work during these times. In addition, it's used as a polling place, where many seniors find opportunities to serve their community. My mom also volunteers in the kitchen sometimes helping to prepare meals, at the front desk, and wherever else there's a need. She has delivered meals for Meals on Wheels through a program at the Clarence Senior Center. Every month we get a newsletter in the mail that outlines all the great programs that are available to members. Some things are there every month: weekly Bingo, Pinochle, Wood working, and a few other things. But then sometimes there are local trips, like to the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and restaurant. They occasionally have mystery tours as well, where the travelers signed up don't know where they are going until they get there. Those are always fun trips (I know because my mom has asked me to join her on a few of them). If you've got a parent or loved one who is looking for somewhere they can go to play cards or Bingo or just to hang out and meet other seniors, this is a safe and welcoming environment. I highly recommend checking it out!

My experience with BNP is through the workplace and our membership with the organization dubbed BN360 which is a "young professionals" development series. BN360 is designed to "empower" professionals to enhance and build their career leading to further success. This is done by offering a number of events throughout the year, that based upon having a membership or purchasing a ticket you can network or attend seminars with other people of the same mindset. Theses events are open to the public and can be found on their website. Most recently I attended a Networking seminar presented by one of their partners, Niagara University that provided two extremely talented professionals that discussed in-person as well as having a digital presence. Both presenters were extremely informative and very relevant in the changing professional landscape. Other seminars listed include conflict resolution and leadership. Although I found my first (but not last) seminar extremely interesting I think that ability to access and attend the events maybe a tad exclusive. I think you need the resources and ability ($$) to be a participant and although the greater mission is the overall economic development we cannot build that development on the back of large corporations without the inclusion of minority, immigrant and small businesses. I hope this initial interpretation is wrong and look forward to writing an update review in the future.

The overall mission of the organization is to coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders in Erie County/City of Buffalo, to increase access to and utilization of preconception, prenatal, perinatal and postpartum health care services in the community. The agency and its programs work within the community to help identify problems of adequacy, acceptability and accessibility in the delivery of these services, especially to those who are in high-need; to seek support for implementation of programs/services that help attain the agency mission; promote coordination between service providers who serve similar consumers/clients; and to provide informational and educational activities for providers and consumers, to help enable improved birth outcomes for the targeted population. The programs operated by Buffalo Prenatal focus on improving maternal and infant health outcomes for high need women and their families, and to help reduce racial and ethnic disparities in those outcomes. Programs operated by Buffalo Prenatal include a New York State Department of Health Maternal Infant Community Health Collaborative (MICHC), a Healthy Families New York Program (also known as the Buffalo Home Visiting Program), and a Healthy Start Initiative. This place do not enroll your child they don't practice proper hygiene in changing diapers, like…read moretheir suppose to wear gloves when they change each child and she got hand foot mouth disease 2 times from this place which is transfer by fecal matter. I provide my 8 month old with her own food and they give her what they have and she gets diarrhea from and constantly gets a diaper rash they don't change her diapers she comes home dirty like the last time I picked her up it looked like they wiped their dirty hands on her. And when I picked her up on a surprise early pickup she was in a corner crib by herself crying and when she saw me she immediately put her arms out to be picked up nobody was paying attention to her I do not recommend this place.
