Came here on a friday at lunch time and price per head starts at 550 pesos…read more (FYI) Dont confuse this place as the one in Ayala Mall as this is their Buffet restaurant located at the Old Grand Convention Center. They have a big parking lot which they share with 2 other restaurants within the building and a hall. I havent been here in years so when i came and saw they renovated the whole place, i really came to like it. Place is clean, fresh looking and modern. I was surprised that they were really packed for lunch I even had to wait for them to refill some of the food because it was gone in minutes. They have a decent number of food available and taste was pretty good. Some of the ones that I liked included the Squid ala pobre, Scallops, fried fish, the bread( i forgot the name) and the ube cake for dessert. They also have a craving station, sushi area and noodle area. I tried the udon but i tasted too much garlic on my broth I didnt like it very much. Overall it was a good experience but does have some room for improvement.

It was so fresh and natural. The meat inside is soft and gel-like. It was delicious. I wish it was available at home. I was full and satisfied. The quality is higher than typical buffet-style restaurants. The service was impeccable. They even let me feed a fish that was inside a cylinder fish bowl. I'll come back again!

We approached the host and they gave us a number. We glanced up at the number being served.. 35 then looked at our number, 71. We decided to wait and it wasn't really a bad wait either. About an hour later our number was called. We were a party of seven and we were seated near the meat carving area. Upon entering the restaurant it took me back to the time we went to Las Vegas and their buffets at the casino resorts there. It had the same ambiance with about the same amount of customers with friendly waiters and waitresses, quick too, if I may add. I took a walk around to see what they offered. A good variety ranging from Chinese, Filipino, American, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, a salad area, and desserts galore. I decided I would have a go at the meat carving station, ordered a steak at medium well, a portion of chicken and tasted some lamb too. Both the steak and lamb were a bit chewy but seasoned well. The chicken was good. I had mashed potatoes for my side on my first plate and added some garlic sauce on top. Just right for me! mmm. They have a beverage section where you can try out different flavored agua frescas, san miguel beer on tap and you can also get Heineken in a bottle neck. I believe they also offered wine, coffee, and tea. Dessert ranged from ice cream to rice pudding, churos, small bite sized cakes, fruit salad, and bread pudding with a choice of chocolate or vanilla syrup. The bread pudding was soo good I went back twice. Price for dinner: 838 pesos per person Birthday celebrant is complimentary with other paying adults in your party present. Must bring I.D. Your sitting so close to everyone it's like your trapped like sardines. Then when you try to get up to go get some food it's so hard to maneuver. Then we get to the food. Half of the kettles or trays are sitting empty. It takes the staff way too long to replenish the food. Then the choices are limited and many are tasteless. When we got home my wife got very sick and ended up with stomach cramps all night long. Better to spend you money somewhere else. Avoid this place

They frequently refill the stations that run out. Their meat station selection is good and they have large bathrooms. They also have private rooms for events and long tables for the entire family. For certain occassions, you may want to make a booking or reservation in advance. For Valentines Day, my girlfriend specifically wanted to try this place for the first time. I arrived the day before and I was able to secure a spot for 2. When the place gets busy, people wait outside for the next table to become available, but when the time comes for your reservation, you could just easily go through the reservation line and be seated almost immediately. I did pay a deposit, so I just paid the remainder. I was also here for a birthday. OMG i didnt know they sing the song to you,too. Or you can just ask for a viking hat and a picture with a sign if you want to be discreet. Overall, im pretty satisfied with all my visits here. I would like to come back and dine with my friends here.

If you are coming from…read moreMandaue area stay on your right side and do not get on the bridge, we made the mistake and got on the bridge and end up passing the entrance closest to Family Choice buffet. There was another entrance up ahead but seemed as if it was only one way, so we opted to make a u-turn ahead. We then went back to the underpass ahead of Gaisano Country Mall and made a u-turn at the underpass at the second turn you can make without any signs indicating u-turns weren't allowed. If you miss the first parking area closest to Family Choice there is another parking area entrance ahead on the otherside. We arrived at the buffet about 5:00 pm and staff indicated they were still setting up. About 5 to 10 minutes later they indicated it was ok for us to start. So we grabbed some plates and checked out what they had. They didn't have much for a buffet, about maybe 9 entrees (including 1 choice of soup, bird's nest soup) at the main entree area and about 5 to 6 in the salad area. The only thing that was hot as it should be, was the soup. The beef caldereta was chewy, the lumpia was soggy, the cooked spinach was bitter, this green bean dish was decent. Green beans were crispy, which was good. I didn't partake in the other offerings as numerous flies were just parading through. My wife had kinilaw (fish or seaweed eaten raw usually with vinegar and chili) and she indicated that it was prepared sweet. She didn't expect the kinilaw to be sweet so it wasn't a pleasant surprise. For dessert, you had a choice of pineapple, watermelon and or diy halo halo, which they kept the ice in a suspicious looking cooler that did not look clean at all. Restroom: This is an appetite killer. Disgusting!! That should've been an indication what we were getting into. Just flat out gross!! The restaurant in general was not clean. Over head lights appear to be filthy and the restaurant itself is not maintained well. This buffet used to be on Gorordo and in those days the restaurant appeared to be in better condition with more varieties of food offerings. Sadly, this is not the case anymore. Buffet was 240 pesos per adult (does not include drinks) for dinner. Gaisano Country Mall charges 20 for parking but free for the first 3 hours if you or someone in your group is a senior citizen with i.d.

You have to concoct your own dipping sauce to add flavor to the grilled meats. Lacking were shrimp, mushroom, onions and garlic. I'm surprised to see fishballs. And they serve fried chicken. The soup was some kind of watered down salty miso soup.
