Apparently you cannot leave a second review on google, so I have to come here to leave another. ONE STAR is too many. As I said on my google review, the scheduling department is ABYSMAL. Two appointments ago, they called my husband a liar about even having an appointment, when we definitely had one on their calendar. They just gaslight customers about it. They claimed our appointment was actually two weeks later. I called for an earlier appointment, but to keep the original on the calendar, to include. So TWO new appointments. They came on time to the newly scheduled one. However, the "original" appointment was deferred without any communication. We called early that morning to be sure they were coming, and after speaking to two different people, we were told we were originally on the calendar, but they moved us to next week. Once again, WITHOUT communication. After the initial appointment, I left a bad review on their servicing department, and they commented saying they'll do better. They won't. Fire everyone except Mary. Mary, you're the only good part of this experience we've had. Hopefully, they fire everyone but you in that servicing department. As for the actual exterminating service, it's not worth the money. Don't invest in this company. We've had THREE exterminating sessions with NO results. read more

In late 2023, I hired Bug Busters Pest Control to complete crawl space work that included the installation of a new dehumidifier, treat microbial growth, remove and install new insulation and seal off all crawl space vents. Approximately a year later, in late 2024, they performed an annual inspection which they documented high humidity levels and high moisture levels. In early 2025, Shortly after the annual inspection I found standing water in my crawl space that was reported and they determined the pump connected to the dehumidifier wasn't working, which they charged me a service fee to fix. A few months later It was then found by another company performing work that I still had microbial growth, the dehumidifier was installed incorrectly and unleveled, the dehumidifier was 3 years old when it was installed, the vents were not sealed correctly allowing air flow. This company provided a report which was forwarded to Bug Busters. Bug Busters sent out a supervisor who confirmed all the issues and admitted to the companies mistakes. He promised that they would replace the dehumidifier and install it correctly by hanging it instead of ground stands, they would seal the vents from the exterior and treat all growth. They sent someone out to correct all the issues. This employee was the same one who originally performed all the work. Once he left I reinspected the work and found that the same dehumidifier was left in place and still not installed how the manager stated it would be. I also found that none of the vents were sealed from the exterior. I immediately called and canceled all services and was transferred to the same manager. He requested that they come back out and again try to fix the work but refused to issue any type of refund for the work. He stated he had to wait for his boss to return from vacation before he could proceed any further. He cited many personnel and management issues within the company that has lead to poor work and management follow up. read more

Stay away from this company. While the service they provided was good, it all went wrong in the end. We contacted the company in August of 2023 stating that we needed to terminate our services due to job loss and relocation. They continued auto-debiting $99 for Sept, Oct and Nov, each month telling us they had fixed the billing issue, only for us to be charged the following month. They repeatedly told us they were working on the issue when we called but never called us with a resolution. It became clear very quickly that this company only cares about money, not their customers. I have used them for about 6 month and untill they changed the guy that comes to my house everything was good. Then they send " David Baldwin". Now I am starting to see the bugs that I pay them to spray for! The reason being is because David does not spray like he is supposed to. He does none of my bedrooms he does not do my dinning room, living room or my den or either one of mu bathroom. Now you leave and dont lock gate the way you entered . # 1  TAKE MY CARD OFF YOUR BILLING SYSTEM  # 2 I have to big dogs . if I  had let them out and they as little as pushed on the gate I SEE A LAWSUIT COMING IF THEY BIT OR WERE INJURED . Bug Busters/Dry Seal gave me an estimate of almost $6000 to tear up and seal my entire basement on the inside against water. I agreed and gave a large deposit for the work as I believed them to be a reputable business in the Farmville area. Months went by without them scheduling the work. I that time I spoke with my county engineer and the local.office of water and soil conservation. Both county offices agreed that an easy fix would be a French drain installation on one side of an outside wall. Bug Buster/Dry Seal agreed, yet would not do the work for less. They padded the job quote with unnecessary items not needed in a French drain install. They didn't add the said items, and still charged me the ~$6000. The work was supposed to be guaranteed for a completely dry basement. Finally...the basement and yard still flood due DrySeal's shoddy work and poor business ethics. I brought it to the company's sales and installation representatives. Nothing. I asked to speak to the owner, and the office staff refused to connect me to him, ADAM EASON. From the Bug Busters/Dry Seal website- "Founded by a young Entrepreneur, Adam Eason, Bug Busters Pest Control was to not only solve your pest control needs but prevent the things that "bug" you from happening. The problem with your response to my review is that I was NOT explained that I needed to cancel 1 month ahead. Yes they are my initials and yes I did learn a lesson that your company is not respectful or trustworthy enough to take your word on what I was signing. Therefor yes I should have read the contract's "little tiny writing" at the bottom of the contract. Shameful of your company to con people and not verbally disclose this information to them. We had Bug Busters for a couple of years. When they started we felt we were getting our money's worth. However, my husband was generally home when this service would be performed and he noticed that the personnel were spending less and less time at our house to do the service. Finally, he could watch the employees walk around our yard, with their phone in their hand, and not do much of anything. So I wrote a letter to cancel our service. I then got phone calls asking us to reconsider and telling us how they "promised" we would receive better service. I told them I was not interested and then they told me that a portion of our service could not be cancelled because there would be an early termination fee. I told them to continue that one service, but cancel everything else. Ever since that date, I continually get calls and texts that my account is past due. They are no longer performing just the one service (I am sure because it costs them more money to drive to my house to do that one service and they could only make money doing multiple services at one time.) Today I have paid the "early" cancellation fee even though this is not what I requested and promised multiple, multiple times. I just want to be done with them and have them never contact me again. I hope this will do it. I urge everyone to proceed with caution when signing a contract with this company. read more

Only gave a star because I had too. Real rating: NO STARS !!!!!!! This company charges clients when they can not reach them to come out to their clients homes ... instead of letting the client schedule appointments as needed, they chose to try to reach out and was unsuccessful so they went ahead and charge the card on file which didn't go through because we replaced the card. So instead of reaching out they sent a charge of $150 to the collection agency after 4 months, which we paid. And then spent over a month calling to figure out why $150 was charged to begin with when no one came to do any services at my house . Still was told because we signed a contract (which states nothing about being charged without having services done) I was told I could get $72 dollars back which was half and told the check would be mailed , I was told my check was mailed 3 different times before it ever was and the last time I called to see where this check was and asked to speak to the president since I was told by the lady who I was speaking with no one was above her other than the president , needless to say the "Vice President " got on the phone rudely telling me my check was mailed and it would take 7-10 business days to receive and I said that's great but that's not what I wanted to discuss (obviously I wanted to know I was told 3 different times prior that it was mailed if it never was) I was cut off yelled and threatened that if I call back to this office (regarding my money they took WITHOUT COMING TO MY HOUSE TO DO SERVICES) that she would cancel my check . So here's my experience I would've have called and made an appointment and used them if they didn't go ahead and take it upon themselves to take money and then be completely rude when I'm asking why and where the money is that they promised to send . So if you want to be scammed out of $150 dollars go ahead and give them a call Their response is only " my name isn't on a contract with them " and if that's what they are going with now after over a month of talking with me about the account , I guess that means just anyone can call up to this business and get information on your account just by knowing the address and a name ! I am writing this review so that no other family gets used by Bug Busters or taken advantage of. Please pass this along so others know that Bug Busters uses toxic chemicals on your plants yet will tell you it is safe. They will scare you into using their services, please don't buy into their scare tactics! They will lie to get you money! Here is what happen to my family. Niban was used all around my house. Sprinkled in my garden, veggie and herb. I found out the active ingredient for Niban is orthoboric acid. What I found out from the Natural Pesticide Information Center: Boric acid toxicity ranges from minor to serious. Minor toxicity usually results in skin and eye irritation. More serious toxicity can result in symptoms such as respiratory problems, muscle weakness, and headaches. In cases of extreme toxicity, boric acid can lead to kidney failure in people. Boric acid can halt the growth of plants. Boric acid can be taken up from the soil by plants. It moves through plants into their leaves. Knowing this information on Niban active ingredient being toxic and being able to go into my herbs, I did not want to take the chance of getting poisoned. Also the fact that none of my plants grew told me that Niban had been absorbed into my plants making them poisonous. Bug Busters withdrew $49.15 from my bank account before paperwork pull date. I called and was told a refund would be issued. No refund was ever issued by Bug Busters. About a week later another $49.15 was withdrawn from my account and $99. I spoke with the manager John and we were able to come to an agreement that all three charges would be refunded. 10 business days later only the $99 was removed from my account. I than filed a complaint with the BBB. Bug Busters refunded one transaction of $49.15. I called Bug Busters again to ask why the original $49.15 was still not refunded and they told me it was on the bank. I contacted the bank they had no pending transactions on our account. I finally had to file a claim with the bank to get our money back. I told Bug Busters I no longer wished to use their services since they could not fix a simple issue. They than sent me an invoice for service and a tech three days later. I refused service from the tech and called Bug Busters again stating they needed to cancel my services. When I spoke to Jordan for the last time I let him know that his company was screwing over a military family and that BBB does take this into account when claims are filed, he laughed as if this was a funny situation. I have not heard back since then. Please share and pass this information along. I do not want any other family having to jump thru hoops to get a refund from this horrible company. read more

Will spend 4000 for a car wrap to advertise but won't spend the proper money for his pesticides. Lived in one of his houses that he rented out and he ensured me it would be clean when I moved all of my stuff in. He came back twice afterwards and still we had roaches. They actually seemed to get worse after they sprayed what was supposed to be their strongest pesticide. That night I woke up to 4 roaches on my face and about 50-60 just in the bedroom. I worked for him, and still he didn't give me adequate service. DO NOT GO TO ADAM EASON FOR ANYTHING. DO NOT TRUST ADAM EASON. If I could give less than one star I would. read more

If you want to be ripped off, cheated out of money and deal with an unorganized company that cannot be trusted, call Bug Busters! My experience with them was the worst. They claim to have found a problem on my property which cannot be confirmed. There is no evidence of their claim. Doing business with them was a big waste of my money. They don't even call or keep on track with appointments. Their reps show up at random times and days and expects you to let them in and hand them a check. Bug Busters does the routine pest control for my apartment complex. Calling it "control" is a joke because the roaches control my kitchen counter! The service technician that treated my apartment in November 2018 & on February 21, 2019 was rude. When he sprayed my apartment in November 2018, he barely sprayed any pesticide at all and the roaches were crawling around that same night. Worse, when he treated my bathroom in February 2019; he left several large puddles of pesticide on my bathroom floor which I didn't see until after my cat had walk through it. Luckily I knew what it was and washed it off her feet because she could have been poisoned! This tech (SWM) keeps insisting that the roaches are coming from under the sink despite the evidence being very clear that they are coming from a crevice in the wall behind the refrigerator ( A "sticky card" by the refrigerator he left in November with over 200 roaches on it!). He told me he is going to recommend an expensive "Roach Cleanout" treatment to my landlord, even though that one area is the only place that I have a problem with roaches. Bug Busters is clearly trying to rip of my aprtment complex, which I plan to call and tell them in about 10 minutes; and my landlord this afternoon! The tech was furious with me because he saw me outside, taking a picture of his work vehicle so I could get the name of the company he worked for and the number to call. I think that is why he treated me so poorly yesterday! No excuses for the bad pest control though!!! You'll be hearing from me shortly!!! read more

I sought this service provider to deal with ants. I've had the scheduled treatments and called for subsequent treatments shortly after those treatments and nothing has worked. It is currently 45° and I came home to find ants. Truly a waste of my money. I cannot wait for this contract to expire. Also, as another customer noted, I am being flexible with the technicians schedule instead of being treated as a customer. read more

I must stress that all of the technicians that came to my home to provide treatments during my contract period were very professional, respectful and thorough. They always did a great job and are the only reason I didn't rate the business a "one". However, the office staff failed miserably. I was NEVER contacted to schedule my appointment but instead received a call when the technicians were waiting in my driveway. Each time I stressed that I worked out of town and needed to be contacted to make the appointment in advance. One receptionist told me appointments were made around the technicians schedules, not the customers and suggested I leave my key under the doormat so they could let themselves in. (Wait . . what?! Are you kidding me?) Another told me she made a note in my file and assured me it would never happen again. However, it continued the length of my contract and was never rectified. I was also told when they set the schedules, post cards were mailed however in the entire year of my contract, I never received a single card. So, while I was pleased with the actual service, I chose not to renew my agreement due to the inconvenience. read more

Farmville bug busters encapsulated our crawl space. it smells like dirty locker room socks now. They said they were going to find the source of the odor and fix it. They said the odor was coming from the ground under the plastic and the air outside the unsealed crawl space door. I went under the house and by sniffing around found out the source of the odors myself. The pier wrapping had not been sealed to the piers thus allowing the gasses from the ground to travel up between the white plastic and the pier cinderblock outside wall. It clearly smelled and that very strong. I had to take HVAC metal tape, which was the only thing I had on hand, and tape the plastic to the piers at the top thus sealing out the bad smelling air and humidity from the dirt below. I did not know if this was code to do or not but the bad odors was causing discomfort to in house breathing and air above from the crawl space and Bug Busters had done nothing to remedy it other than recommending a 350.00 seal tight crawl space door. The smell is now much less. I was under the impression that encapsulation meant separating the crawl space from the ground- all of it. I paid 6,300.00 for this job which has caused difilculty breathing in our home and has not fully done what they said it would do- encapsulate the space from the ground and the outside. I'm sure Bug Buster's pest control management that they did was top notch. I have nothing wrong to say about that. The first salesman told me they were new to encapsulation. Perhaps they need to either study up on it more, or they need to train their people better, or they need to inform customers of what to expect after encapsulating their crawl space- odor from the stinky ground. read more

So, I am sorry to say that I had a negative experience with this company. I wish it had been good because we really needed their help. We had a snake in our house. We actually tried to contact them on Friday evening and though they have a website saying 24 hour service, we couldn't get a call back until Tuesday (granted it was a 3 day weekend). A guy came to see if the snake was still under the fridge, but it wasn't. He said he thought it went out. He told me if I bought their "snake package" that he would put repellent around the house and come back to remove the snake if he appeared. He then found a hole under the kitchen sink and told me he would charge 100.00 to spray foam in it. I took a pass on that (way high), so he offered to spray around the house and fill the whole for 100.00. I decided to do it because he said he would also come back if the snake was still in the house for that price. Guess what? Yep, the snake reappeared 2 days later and I called. He said he would have to charge me 77.00 more dollars to come deal with the snake! So disappointing. My whole family heard him say that coming back for the snake was included and they told me not to dare give him another penny. We are still living with the snake in the house as far as we know and set up sticky traps recommended by professionals. Living with a snake is horrible, dealing with snakes is horrible too! Never let snakes in your house. Very disillusioned. One more thing...... I will never get used to how many small town businesses are willing to risk their reputations and future income to make a few dollars. Seriously, is it really worth it?
