I would say this is a museum for kids/families only…read more First off for parking, try to find parking on the streets nearby rather than in the lot as they charge $30 which is a rip off. As for the museum, it's inside a large warehouse. There's bathrooms in the beginning and in the end only, so make sure you go before you enter the museum. You are also not allowed to bring any outside food or drinks in but they don't check your strollers or bags for things. As for the exhibitions, some of them were better than others, but a lot seemed really tailored to kids. Some of the rooms were really boring with just balloon creatures standing there while others were more interactive. The place also was pretty toasty so dress on the cooler side. They have AC but it's summer in Miami so it gets hot inside despite that. It wasn't too crowded so you could still enjoy all the rooms without feeling overwhelmed. Would I recommend this to other people, probably not for the price point, but if you have kids and it's a rainy day it's a good activity to bring them to. It took us about 1.5 hours to slowly make our way through the whole thing.

The Dolce & Gabbana "From the Heart to the Hands" exhibit is in a separate building down the street and is 100% worth the admission if you're into fashion. It was 3 full floors of couture. There was so much to see, I actually had to take a lunch break and come back. A total dream getting to stand inches away from that kind of craftsmanship. It was well curated and immersive. Every room had a different scent. The gallery attendants were all super friendly and knowledgeable. Apparently they are trained by the Dolce group directly. Highly recommend, check it out!

So, this is a bit of a complex review to write because the take-away is that I loved my visit, but…read morethe experience left me wanting more, mainly because the subject matter of the main exposition was just not my cup of tea, but I can see how it would appeal to the Miami community because of their love for sports. The setting and location could not be better - totally breathtaking. Views of the causeway and Biscayne Bay / Downtown Miami are amazing. The architectural details with concrete and MCM inspired wooden accents are just perfect. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and definitely added to our experience, and the gift shop is great. The restaurant is excellent and has a thoughtful menu, with several items that are inspired by pieces from the permanent collection. The sports art exhibit took much more space than I would have liked. There is a LOT of money in Miami, and I would have expected a permanent collection or even visiting exposition that would rival museums in New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC. - modern art, Impressionism, renaissance, or other fine art would be incredible. That being said, I will definitely return to enjoy the museum, and look forward to seeing where their artistic directors take things in years to come!

The fact is it was entertaining and there were plenty of guides telling you what you can do to interact with the visuals and what happens next. Very dark but basically safe to walk around. Various visual exhibits some using projectors ( low ish quality) on huge walls but ones that you can interact with to change the image. Other smaller visuals of changing perspective and seasons of the year. A strange heart beat thing that looked pretty and impressive laser show with mist. Lots of other things including a sort of mirrored maze that is not a maze. Timed tickets I assume avoids overcrowding which would be a problem even in larger spaces. Paid street parking outside or a metro station just a few yards away. Note there is a much lower cost Rubell museum across the road and a much better cafe at Rubell.

There were two guys painting outside so we asked if we could leave our car there and enter, and they said "absolutely". We were buzzed in and greeted at the front by a lady who was sitting at the front desk. We were unsure if we needed to pay or not but she just told us we could walk around. Inside we were able to see art from different artists from all countries, including Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Cuba and Germany! There was a lot of art from Botero and Wilfredo Lam. It was really cool to be able to walk around freely and see all of the sculptures and paintings. We were the only people in there, aside from the employees. A hidden gem!

I almost missed them. The staff was helpful and friendly. They guided and pointed things out to me. They added to the experience. They seemed knowledgeable and to love their jobs. These unique sculptures pieces are from internationally recognized artists such as Fernando Botero, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hudson, and Carlos Cruz. This is simply an amazing permanent exhibition added to Miami's very popular art galleries. The entrance fee is FREE. You will need to show Photo ID to the securuty card. The hours are from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm everyday except Sunday when it is open from 11:00 am-7:00 pm. No pets allowed. I didn't see any benches on our walk except for a couple of chairs at the entrance. Some of the walking path is small rocks but it was not difficult to walk over them. You should add this to your list of places to visit in Miami.

The taxes and fees-added up to approx $10 more than the original price so $85 for two tickets. Google maps got us there and we eventually found the $15 self parking lot across the street. This was not well marked. Valet at the location was $20. We saw a little cafe area where they served some light food and drinks. Also a garden area out front with hammocks and chickens :-) The Ice Palace studio is on the outskirts of Wynwood, an artsy section of Miami with murals, graffiti, coffee shops, bars , cafes and boutiques. We were able to enter the exhibit earlier than our assigned time after a few photos at the selfie station. The entrance was dark and we walked into a maze like room with large written digital displays of Van Gogh's story, Vincent and his brother Theo. The main room was the actual digital display of his artwork in a 360 degrees art story played to music. It was very beautiful and filled the large room as we stood in the middle and took it all in. Some older than us has small fold up seats as younger sat on the floor. The room was not overcrowded mid week. There were two filled small benches but no other seating, my only complaint. I thought i saw ads showing spaced seating in the room, however i could be mistaken. It was not a long show and i believe you could stay and watch it again as it appeared to repeat itself. We stayed and watched the beginning over again. All in all we were there approx 2 hours. I'm happy i went and learned some history of this wonderful artist and the digital display was very beautiful. I think the Van Gogh's themselves would have been very impressed.
