There are tables/chairs set up around the room waiting for painters to sit at. The walls are lined with shelves of blank pottery to choose from. There are items such as plates, mugs, teapots, and vases. There are dinosaurs, bears, cars, treasure boxes, princess crowns, and a variety of coin banks. There was even a holiday section with Santa bowls, Rudolf plates, trees, and ornaments. There is something for everyone from kids to adults. It would really surprise me if someone couldn't find a piece to paint. There are art books, stencils, and stamps to help get your creativity flowing. The paints are a variety of beautiful colors - and there even is a tile showing how each paint looks when it dries (which was extremely helpful). The only down side might be the parking but that really is a stretch. There were only a few spots in front of the store - BUT there is more parking down behind the shop. Do not be deterred by the parking! My kids loved it here and they ended up spending 2-3 hours happily working on their projects. The owner is very helpful and came by often to refresh our water bowls. In one week the pieces will be ready for pick up and my children can't wait to see their creations glazed and fired. I really am genuinely happy this business has come in. It was a nice way to spend a few hours and I can easily see groups gathering here.

Last weekend, we held our daughter's 13th birthday party at Piece d'Occasion. Nine girls, including…read morethe birthday girl. It was a huge success, due in no small part to Heather's efforts. When we arrived shortly before the party, we found the place done up lovingly with balloons, a table nicely decorated for the girls, and another table set up for presents, with a commemorative plate for the occasion that all the girls got to sign, with our daughter's name already beautifully painted on it. Her favorite music was playing, too, with a custom playlist that Heather created for her based on her preferences. Once the girls finished catching up with each other, Heather led the girls through the process. There was a huge selection of figures for painting, and, of course, all the painting and decorating supplies the girls needed. While they worked, they were given glitter tattoos, which they went nuts for (what is it about glitter?). When the girls finished their pieces, they got their pizza (included in the price) and then we brought out the cake, and the party wound to a close. It went a few minutes over, but Heather was very understanding about it. The girls had a terrific time. My wife and I were delighted with everything, and Heather was wonderful to work with. The price was more than reasonable for what we got. We'd celebrate another birthday here in a heartbeat; in fact, we very well may, when our girl's 14th birthday rolls around!

I have been to this location several times over the last year (since it first opened), and each time I had been impressed with the cleanliness and tidiness. Today was a very different story. As soon as we entered I could see that the place was a mess. Toys were all over the place, nothing had been neatened up, and the foam floor pieces were buckling in several spots. We arrived at about 2:30pm and we were the only customers, so it seemed odd that it was such a mess. The sand pit area is overrun with toys and the kitchen area was trashed. The round sitting bench that used to spin no longer does (we were told it broke), and there is a random metal climbing dome with a slide that has paper and tape on it, seemingly covering screws or something. For the price of admission (25.00), I can't say I will hurry back unless I learn that things are being better maintained. I never understand when places start to grow, but as they do, they let other things go. The appeal of the Littles Play Cafe was the trust I had in the cleanliness and maintenance, but today I lost my faith. I hope they do better, because when it is good, it's a nice place for little ones to play.

The staff are all incredibly friendly, and they are very flexible in accommodating to your needs. I took a pottery class for three weeks, and I had a blast! It was incredibly fun, and the instructor was super awesome! I really loved it. I wish I had more time to work with the instructors, but my schedule did not allow. Love the friendly atmosphere, and I got to meet so many creative people while practicing during the open studio hours. I do wish they had longer hours so it was more convenient for me schedule, but I understand this was mainly fitted around school-going children. They have a lot of cool workshops for kids, and the instructors are all very amazing from the art that I see the kids produce. There are so many different things they offer! They also allow adults a lot of resources and space to exercise their own creative projects, which I think is excellent. Everything is pretty reasonable, too! For many years I ordered Muffin and Fruit Baskets as gifts from Lindsey's Country Store, I would…read moreorder at Thanksgiving for businesses I dealt with through the year as a thank you for their exceptional service, at Christmas as gifts for friends. When they closed, I frantically looked for a replacement company. I thought I had found it in One of a Kind Gift! I first ordered 3 baskets, 1 for a Business, 2 for friends, all three for Thanksgiving. I later ordered 2 for a business at Christmas, this business had limited hours the week these baskets were to be delivered, I gave specific delivery instructions with the open times of this business in order to have the baskets delivered successfully. I called A One of a Kind Gift after Christmas to see if the 2 baskets had been delivered... I was told no, they were unable to accomplish delivery, but could send as New Years, etc... I declined that offer and said just leave the amount for those baskets as credit on my account, I'd use later. Meantime I had received thank yous from the two friends who had received baskets at Thanksgiving, but not the business...and since I had been sending to them yearly, this was unusual. I had occasion to speak with the office manager of that business in the spring, and asked if they had received the basket at Thanksgiving...she said they had not! I immediately went to A One of a Kind Gift and asked them what was going on and what they intended to do about this non- delivery! Well...we use the operators from the answering service business next door...they said it was delivered! But, have no signature or confirmation of same... So, I was out of luck for the over $100. Basket I purchased that was never delivered. I then asked for a refund of the two baskets they had not been able to deliver at Christmas... Sherry was not able to do this, she said it was a new machine, but she'd take care of it... Long story short on that credit...it never happened, instead my credit card was charged again! I called and asked Sherry to take care of it. Again never happened, I called the credit card company and had the charge taken off my account, I never received the credit! So... now I'm out over $200. For 3 baskets I purchased that were never delivered, 2 that A One of a Kind admits to, but never issued the credit. I sent her a certified registered letter demanding refunds for the 3 baskets, stating I'd take her to Small Claims, hire an attorney, use Social Media, etc... no response. So... I went to Small Claims Court... I filed a claim against Sherry's Kitchen? A One of a Kind Gift, in the amount of $217.06 on 12/16/20, I had given them a year to make good on the undelivered baskets. We got a court date of Mar 3, 2021... I was there... no representative from A One of a Kind Gift bothered to show up... The Judge issued a Judgement against them in the amount of $232.06, and an Information Subpoena was served upon the business. The Small Claims visits and orders have been going on now for over a year, culminating with a Bench Warrant issued for Sherry, ofcourse no one will be going out to serve this warrant, but you'd think a business woman wouldn't want this Black Mark on her name or Business to be out there. I guess she just doesn't care about her customers! I would never order from them again... Their products are delicious and beautifully presented, but I had no luck with this business... Nor the owner, Sherry Lindsey!

Came here with the wife recently, and we hadn't been in ages. I forgot how much fun it was to walk…read morearound and look at the farm animals (my wife grew up on a farm, in farm country, and was decidedly less amused... oh well). There were lots of cows, chickens, and rabbits to see. There were set-ups for antique farm machinery which were pretty interesting for someone like me who is into mechanical things. Their model train exhibits were underwhelming but frankly I will never turn down a chance to see toy trains. The same goes for their antique cars. The food vendors were not plentiful though they had nearly everything I could think of as standard fair fare (see what I did there?). Well, almost everything. I didn't see a popcorn purveyor, but all the other usual suspects were in full force. Some of it was a lot better than others. There were also the typical games and rides, though I didn't realize that our admission gave us free access to all of the rides until it was after dark. They might have posted signs at the door, but I didn't see them. It was a dark and stormy night, and the crowds weren't very large. This worked to our advantage, and it was pretty to see things lit up at night. We went into the food and judging areas and learned about their cooking classes and competitions. Perhaps we will think of something to enter for next year. I doubt peanut butter and jelly would win an award, but who knows? All in all, it was a fun evening. I am sure with better weather it would be a nice way to spend the afternoon.
