Unless you are a carousel expert, then you would know about their famous Ferrari carousel that is still operating and worth a trip just to experience alone. Look up the history online for an interesting story. The grounds are large enough for some soccer games etc. & I saw what looks like a volleyball court there too. There are old trees scattered around, so you can set yourself up with a blanket & camp chairs in the shade if you'd like. Or there are 3 large pavilions and multitudes of picnic tables all over the place. I also saw people with coolers of their own food. The kids loved painting their own figurines and the staff made sure they were ready to take home the same day (it's nice that you don't have to return weeks later to pick up your item). They also let me bring in my own food/snacks and I was allowed to decorate the room, too. My daughter had a blast. We've been here before just for drop in painting and we will happily be back to support them!

I have never heard of this place until my daughter was recently invited to attend a Descendants…read morethemed birthday party here by one of her girlfriends from school. We parked nearby in a parking lot that's free on weekends. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a staff member and handed her our gift. My daughter sat down in a circle with the rest of the kids talking with Joy (the name of the manager. I found this out because my daughter will be having a birthday party here soon and she helped me plan my event) The party was hosted by Joy and her assistant, a younger girl. They both seemed very enthusiastic and energetic. They tried their best getting all the kids (boys and girls) engaged in their activities, making wishes, story telling, dressing up, twirling, and even a parade around the whole place. Boys were given options of "boy " costumes ; Spider-Man, firefighter, etc. Girls had a wide array of pretty dresses to choose from. As soon as I saw how happy my daughter was during all of this, I knew she would probably be asking me to have her party here as well. (And I was right!) the party was 2 hours long but seemed to fly by. It was adorable watching all the children use their imaginations and just have so much fun. After checking out their website and emailing Joy, I realized they have so many different options as far as party themes go ..from LOL dolls, unicorns, all the Disney princesses you can think of to basically anything. You can even include a tea party. We are going with an Elsa/Frozen theme and fingers crossed I hope our party will turnout as great as the one we attended. I am not the best host, and this will be my first year having a birthday party completely hosted by strangers that I'm paying lol. Now I don't have to worry about cleaning my place for days, setting up, cleaning up after the party, coming up with fun games, and when the times up everyone leaves. I'm hoping it will be an unforgettable experience. Joy was very easy to talk to during the meet up. They take a $75 deposit from you and then they customize invitations for you which you can just print out at home. We went over all the details and she was patient with my questions and concerns. Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I get some rsvps back soon:) it's $395 for 10 kids but that's just the base price for the two hour party. 20 kids max. I think they also have an option for a shorter party for a little less. It's $15 per additional child and includes pizza and paper products. You have the option of bringing in your own napkins which I will be supplying. Elsa themed everything is what my daughter requested, so Elsa themed everything is what she will get) there are so many add ons. Each child will be doing an art project. Super hero themed one for the boys and unicorn headbands for the girls. Someone dressed as Elsa will be attending and hosting the second half of the party which is an additional $119. My daughter also wanted Ariel to attend but I was advised that it would be a clash with the two princesses. I'm glad they were honest with me instead of just throwing a mermaid costume on another employee just to rake in some extra bucks. I am happy to pay whatever if they do a good job! They also can paint nails which is 5.95 per child. If you want each kid to have a balloon that will be $1.50 per child. Also added on a birthday banner. There were so many options I could sign up for I don't even remember what I signed up for lol. No outside balloons permitted. I was told I can bring in water bottles for adults and additional food if I wanted to. They will be supplying the pizza. Any extra pizzas will be 12.95 per pizza. That's a great deal for a pizza, I hope it's not frozen Ellios pizza. Juice boxes are provided for the kids. They have an option where they can give the kids each a goodie bag for 5.95 each. I wanted to add my own personalized touch so I will be making my own goodie bags which they do allow. I enjoy doing things like this, it's a lot of fun for me. When I asked how early should I arrive the day of the party, I was told to come no earlier than 10 minutes before the start time of the party with the cake and my child I was a little surprised. They promised me I'm in good hands and I'm really excited/anxious/nervous/happy We are all booked and ready for the party day. Challenge Grove Park will always hold a sentimental place in my heart, as it is the place where I…read moretrained for my first 5K. Four years later, I still find myself driving here from time to time to do the old running route. Besides that, I run through the park on an almost weekly basis, as it is part of my running clubs 12 mile Sunday run. The park is open and welcoming. A year or two ago volunteers built the Build Jake's Place, a "boundless" playground which welcomes children of all abilities and disabilities. During my most recent visit to the park this past week, I noticed that a second new playground area is being built. (I can't find the info now, but I think I read that it is going to be a softball/baseball field of sorts, again for all children, regardless of ability/disability). The park also includes a quarter mile track, restrooms, bocce court, a basketball court, and baseball field. There is also what appears to be a soccer or football field set back behind a wooded area that I have not ventured to, but I often see games being held there. A short walk to the other end of the park brings to to an area of the Cooper River, and a large grassy field area where one could spread out and relax. For the runner or walker, there are also some trails, which Cherry Hill Township has been making a point of maintaining in the last year or two, and has encouraged people to take advantage of these areas. I only recently ventured back in these trails, and they are really beautiful, well maintained, and not long or complicated enough to get you lost. If you prefer the roads, a lap around the entire park (Caldwell Road, Park Blvd., Kings Hwy., and back into the park on Bortons Mill) is about a 1.25 mile run. The park area is also home to the old Croft Farmstead, but I'll be honest... I don't know what goes on in those buildings, just that it's a historic area in the township. One thing the township/county needs to improve are the restrooms. On the occasion that they are actually open, they are absolutely awful. Smelly, filled with graffiti, no paper towels, and just filthy. The water fountains could use some upgrading, too... they are forced to be turned off in the winter because they don't utilize no-freeze technology, and in the summer the water is just hot, and therefore useless to an overheated endurance runner. If the park could fix either one of those things, they'd easily be a 4 or 5 star park in my eyes.
