Absolute highest recommendation to reach out to the Idea Kitchen team - Adam (owner), Ana, and Will are fantastic ambassadors. You'd be shortchanging yourself and your productivity not to consider checking them out if you need a local workspace. A few details: I visited family in Larchmont for August 2021. I grew up there locally, but now live on the west coast. My wife and I stayed with my family for a month-long visit, and needed a way to be productive for our jobs during this time. We both have desk jobs that require many video and phone calls. After some online research and a recommendation from local residents, I chose to rent an office at the Idea Kitchen for our time in NY. It was an incredibly good decision. The Idea Kitchen team, facility, and office delivered 10 out of 10 on everything you could want in a co-working partner. The space itself is fantastic: ultra-clean, spacious, massive windows/ well-lit, high-ceilings, and modern. It felt like many co-working spaces and offices I've seen for tech start-ups on the west coast. The security app and auto-access was convenient and easy - I had 24/7 access with the plan I purchased, which was fantastic to be able to use the space for early and late calls as needed. The entire staff was incredibly responsive, professional, friendly, and just made everything easy. From answering my initial questions via phone & email prior to committing, to helping me manage my account, to helping me navigate anything I needed when I was in the office (printing access, temperature control, etc.), the team was fantastic. One evening at about 9pm I mistakenly locked my phone & computer in the office. I called the after-hours number and ultimately Adam (owner) personally solved the issue so that I could get my items right away. In addition, the other members/ customers all seemed quite kind and community-oriented, while also driven to get their work done, so it was an environment that was conducive to being productive, as well as being motivating. Overall, it was an incredibly pleasant and worthwhile experience to spend my work days & evenings at The Idea Kitchen. I hope you're as lucky as I was that they have availability for when you are considering working there.

This is a coworking space that seems a little abandoned. When I visited, I could imagine this place…read morein all its glory a few years ago but now, after the birth of places like WeWork, it's died down a little bit. The furniture seems a bit old and run-down and there are a lot of empty desks. I used the co-working app Croissant to work here and I believe I was one of two people from Croissant who worked that day so it doesn't get very busy. It's in a good location in SoHo and above the HQ of the app Foursquare. They have spa water, coffee, and snacks.

I'm so glad I stopped in to experience this cafe and learn about the coffee beans they carry from Colombia, Guatemala, Bali, and Kenya. In addition, I spend much of the day on the phone or video conferences, so needed a truly private and quiet space, which many competitors simply don't offer. Fortunately, Bevmax offered very competitive rates and flexible terms, along with everything we needed as a company. The Columbus Circle location was perfect for me and offered very attractive spaces to host clients and hold meetings. I had a private office with generous space, all at rates below what competitors were charging. I started working from home on days when I had Zoom/Teams meetings because the internet constantly cut out. My video froze so often that eventually people expected me to have to call in. The A/C does not work in many offices and nothing is ever done to fix it. Instead of providing air conditioning, management offers free conference room hours as restitution while the in-office temperature stayed at above 80 degrees for weeks. The printers are often down or out of ink. They sell your information. They steal security deposits. They aggressively pressure tenants to leave positive Google reviews. No amount of free kombucha is worth having to deal with bad wifi or bad people.
