Very bad experience with this interface. I ordered stickers for my company's vans and they never arrived. I was placed on hold for half an hour then only offered a partial refund. I needed banners in a flash and several folks in my network suggested using Buildasign.com so I tried them out. The custom order templates are easy to use and navigate. I had questions about their mesh banners and called the office. The customer service was excellent and they were very helpful in explaining their products in detail for me. Their prices are the cheapest in town but they do not skimp on quality of the images or the quality of the vinyl. The double sided banners are really nice for hanging from tents in an outside space as you can see our company information from both directions. My order was delivered ahead of schedule too. I will definately use them for all of my sign/banners needs. read more

I placed an order for a custom license plate on 11/24/14. It was a very basic license plate ($13.26). Today is 12/16/14 and I have yet to receive this order. I have called the customer service department and they advised that the order was lost via USPS and now I would have to wait at least 4 to 6 more business days so that they could reprint and ship my order via UPS. This is unacceptable as I will now have to wait one whole month for a custom item. I will update this if/when I receive my item. By the way this WAS supposed to be a Christmas gift. UPDATE I received my order today 12/16/14, late at night. USPS error. Very nice product, just be aware that shipping may take a while. read more

Build-a-sign was running a special for Realtors during the month of Aug. I had just taken a listing and needed some new signs so I tried them out. The website for ordering was easy to use. The proof system was good. The order was processed on 8/17 with an arrival date of 8/30. I got the signs on 8/26; ahead of schedule. The frames had no damage, all 6 signs/riders were top notch printing. I am extremely satisfied. So satisfied that I can considering a second order while the special is still going on. read more

I needed magnet door signs for my lawn care business. I ordered the thicker stock with my logo on it. I received what I asked for, but the quality of how my logo looked once it was enlarged on the magnet is what made me give it three starts. The colors were MUCH more faded than what I emailed them, and the larger print caused the picture to look less refined and sharp. I decided to put the magnets on the back of my truck instead. It was great I loved the design! However, when I got the tag there was minor scratches on it like there where black and brown ones. Since the main color of my tag was white there was really nothing I could do. The scratches were pretty noticeable. However, that is fine. I did order the tag with the protective glossy coating so hopefully it prevents any further damage. read more

I ordered two items totaling nearly $160. They were to be shipped to my business. Shortly before they were to arrive, I received a pair of shipping notices from UPS - one saying it would come Friday, the next saying it had been rescheduled for Thursday. By Thursday afternoon, no package. I checked with UPS and they had delivered it ---- to a residence 200 miles away. BuildASign's shipping department must have got it wrong... and their customer service closes at 7PM my time, so no answers from them.... Pretty sloppy work. I will update this if they correct the problem pretty damn quick - UPDATE: They replaced the mis-routed sign very quickly. The 7PM Customer Service closing time and the fact that they continue to use UPS, whose service is very spotty keeps me from upgrading this review to a 4. read more

The guys at Build-a-sign are about as epically awesome as they come. I have ordered banners, signs and various accoutrements (beer bottle labels), and every time, they nail it. If the guys at build-a-sign were a plague, they would be the one that wipes out humanity because they kill it every time. My rep, Dylan, is a stud. He is always super responsive and gets me what I need. He's like Geoffrey on the Fresh Prince of Bellaire except without all the sass. Pros: The pricing of banners and signs with these guys can't be beat. They hit my deadline every time. Scratch that. They deliver typically days before I expect my stuff. Fast and inexpensive. Woot! Cons: I don't know if there are hyphens in their name or not? Is that a con? Bottom line- If you need help with printing signs, banners and accoutrements, you need to call these guys. read more

I was required to use this company by a home owner's association. It was a disaster from the start. First Call: It took me 30 minutes of phone tree before I got to someone who claimed they could help. They found the order I was supposed to ask for and found the art I needed. (the home owner's association didn't have their own artwork. I had to get this sign company to find it from a previous order by someone else.) The woman I spoke to claimed that she created my sign and would send me a proof. 24 hours later, no proof was sent. Second Call: I get through the phone tree in 15 minutes this time. the gentleman I spoke to couldn't find any record of me, the order number the first woman gave me, the order at all, nothing. So I got to start all over again. We went through everything in painstaking detail. We went over pricing, which I confirmed with him three times. I really just wanted to get everything handled with this call. I then get the proof the next day. I say great, move forward with the order. Nope, instead, he emails me with one or two questions. I'm confused I've already answered these questions. I respond within an hour by email with the answers. Twelve hours later I get another email with one or two questions. I again respond within an hour to this set of questions which I have also already answered. Ten to twelve hours later I get a third email. This time he's quoting a totally new price. One that is twice what he originally quoted. You see, he delayed placing my order for days now, and for me to get my order in time, I'd have to super express rush everything, and apparently, he thought I should pay for that? No. Third Phone Call: I now call a third time and speak to a very helpful woman. She takes a look and sees that the guy hadn't actually done anything. He never even put my approved proof into the system. So I got to start all over again. I explained the pricing the guy had quoted and he figured out what he had done. Thankfully, she honored the original quote and rushed my items. I ended up getting them a day late. The Sign: The sign showed up a day late. It also arrived damaged. It was a metal sign that was bent and dented in multiple locations. It was not from shipping though, the outer box was in perfect condition. Since placing my order I received a "How did we do?" email. I filled it out, gave them a rundown of my experiences. This was a week after my order. Since then, I have received a "rate us and give feedback" email almost every to weeks. Are they hoping I change my mind as time goes on? I have been using Build-A-Sign exclusively for several years because of the high quality of the product, the excellent customer service, and great prices! Several times when I submitted an image I created and uploaded for production they caught it to let me know the clarity of my artwork at full scale was too pixelated and I would not be happy. They worked with me until I got it right. This last time, I ended up simply creating the banner image using their own on-line design tool. This really made a believer in me to not bother creating the image on my third party software. It was too simple for me to upload the images I was using and to use their own text box making tool for the text. It was a "no-brainer" to do it this way. In particular, you should know that using their text creation tool guarantees extremely sharp text. Zero pixelation. read more

After placing an order with these people on 6/22 two of the four signs arrived and that the other two would be shipped the next day or two. The next day I get a tracking number and thought everything was good, however the tracking number says it never was sent, so I emailed to find out whats going on, and return they told me the order was never sent (no kidding), but then they sent a second email asking if I still wanted the second part of the order and if I did I had to let them know.....wait a minute - if I still wanted it.....isn't that why I had ordered it in the first place. If a mistake was made, and it was - they should have immediately reprinted the items and sent them to overnight at no cost to the customer, but no they weren't going for that. So much time had lapsed they it would have been another 2 weeks before they got here. So I told them to cancel the the remaining order, done right....nope, sure they cancelled the order and to and insult to injury they are going to charge me 20% for me cancelling my order (the order they LOST) that they never made in the first place. Very difficult to order but the design team was AWESOME (Barrington). There was no way to copy the design (ordered 10 flags w/ sequential numbers) so he helped me create them but it seemed ridiculous that I had to enter 10 separate line items. Additionally, when the feather flags arrived, there were no poles. When I reviewed my order, it specified what kind of stakes I wanted, so I assumed the poles were included. Yes, it is true what assuming does! Now I must order the poles and they are more than the flags---would it have been more cost effective to order them together??? I could not be more happy and satisfied with the signs and banner I recently had done at BuildASign, and the amazing customer service I received! Dylan is awesome! He helped me immensely throughout the ordering and production processes, and responded to any question I had with knowledge and speed. I had a very large banner and two sandwich board signs done at BuildASign. My requests were a bit extreme... I needed a very very large and irregular-sized banner made, with precise color matching. The quality of the product, (License Plate) is poor. There is no metallic finishes available the finish that is used streaks the letters are printed not stamped like actual state plates. one was messed up and had to be replaced which takes to long because they want pictures of everything from package on up. Quality control would have caught the problem before it left the shop, if you had one. I believe I will look around for another sign company. read more

They offer tons of clip art to choose from and it is easy to download your own design. They are very helpful in helping you decide what product works best for what you need it for. After submitting a design they will help work out the details to make it perfect! They won't just send you something that looks horrible, they take the time to work with you in making the design crystal clear and suitable. The quality of the flag is great! I worried about durability since this flag would be exposed to the outdoor elements. After talking to my rep. Chris Boulware and getting all the details about material, stitching, grommet quality and design placement I ordered the flag and it arrived in 3 days! The flag material is extremely strong and thicker than I had expected! Yet supple enough to "fly" the flag in normal wind conditions. It doesn't need a hurricane to lift the flag outright. Nor will it fall apart after the first high wind day. Double stitched and sturdy grommets make this the best dive flag our boat has seen in years! The customer service is also excellent. I had a small issue with a previous order and they took care of if immediately. They're great to work with. They ship promptly and the products were received without damage. This company is also "MagnetsOnTheCheap.com." My company ordered 250 vehicle magnets. The print quality was terrible, with registration issues and alignment issues on almost every piece. I've been buying print for years-- this order would be deemed unacceptable by ANY reputable vendor. I contacted the company, eventually being put in touch with "Jason E" (no last name... wonder why?) of the laughably titled "Customer Love Team." I was told to take some pictures showing the issues, which I did willingly and quickly. A bit later, I was contacted and told that a representative sample was not enough, that a photo of EACH OF THE MAGNETS was necessary. Thus began a month long exchange of emails and phone calls which seemed to lead to a dead end. I say "seemed," as one call reached someone other than the attitudinal "Jason E." This gentleman, "David," seemed to find the matter as ridiculous as I and said I shouldn't worry, he would see to it that a refund was issued. Time passed... no refund. I called to ask about it and was told ONCE AGAIN that I would need to take pictures of EACH OF THE MAGNETS. At which point my blood pressure began a precipitously upward trajectory... I called the company back and explained (none too politely by this point), the situation and asked to speak to someone at a higher level and CERTAINLY NOT to Jason E. I had to leave a message and was told I would get a call back in 24 hours. Of course, said call never materialized. But, I DID get an email from... none other than Jason E! Yes! Potentially the least helpful person on the planet and clearly someone for whom the customer is never right and never comes first. THAT'S who responded to my request. You can imagine my joy at reconnecting with him. During our conversation, he refused to let me speak with anyone else, told me the call would GO TO NO ONE else and would not give me any information whatsoever regarding his superiors, of whom there must be vast numbers. Again, the complete lack of a "customer first" mentality is the ONLY discernible quality I was able to pick up from Jason E. That, and the kind of arrogant attitude one only sees when the the person displaying it is hidden away behind the complete anonymity of a call center number and an initial for a last name. Worst customer service ever!! I ordered 2 T-shirts on Aug 9 and was supposed to receive them Aug 22. They were supposed to have a suicide awareness ribbon with my sons date of birth and death for a suicide walk last weekend. On Aug 14 I received someone else's order. I gave it a few days as when I looked at my account it still said in production. Called customer service on Aug 19. The man said he'd talk to the T-shirt people and call me back. No call back. Aug 20 I sent an email in the morning. No reply so I called that evening.I was transferred to the T-shirt dept and left a voicemail. No call back so I called the next day and was once again given T-shirts voicemail. I immediately called back and asked to talk to a supervisor. I was told I couldn't do that. The woman I talked to said she would contact the T-shirt people and tell them the situation and I'd get my shirts in 14 days. I said send me a refund. She said OK. Next day I get an email from her saying she contacted T-shirt and they'd be working on my shirts within 14 days. I said I told you I wanted a refund. After I talked to her I sent another email saying how angry I was about all of this. No reply or apology. Today I get an email saying my refund for $19.00 has been approved. They took $38.97 from my credit card for two shirts I never got and are refunding me half????? I am contacting the better business bureau tomorrow! read more

I was looking to order a retractable sign for presentations and almost ordered from our local FedEx office. When I started searching pricing I found Build A Sign was the most affordable by $50 less and I could design it myself. The website was easy to get around in, the program for designing was a snap and the turn around time was so fast. Once I received and opened the box my expectations were exceeded. Very disappointed in their retractable banner product. The pole broke the second time we used it. The pole is flimsy and the elastic inside the holds the 3 pieces together was worn in several places when we removed them from the box after delivery. We did not receive any instructions with the banner stand on how to lock in the banner and it caused my helper to be injured when the banner retracted. We finally figured out how to use a key to lock the banner but the key will not go into the hole on either banner stand we purchased. read more

I did not realize until I placed the order that the shipping option defaulted from free to $8 shipping for a two dollar decal.
