Though you might find Adam associated with the ironfencedallas.com website and DFW Fence Doctor, he is NOT associated with them. His work is sloppy and he does not stand by his work to fix the problem, even after given plenty of opportunities to fix the issues. Here's a little rundown of the nightmare and headache we dealt with because of Adam: - I initially texted him and he was very responsive when getting information about the work we needed, which was to refinish/repaint the iron railing on our front porch. - He completed the work a few weeks later and the day he finished my wife was working (and the paint was still drying so I couldn't get a great read on the quality of the work), but he told me that once she/we had a chance to inspect the railing after it fully dried, it wouldn't be a problem for him to come out and fix any issues if we saw anything. - The next day we inspected the work and there were several problems. The paint was already peeling off in numerous areas, and he got overspray on both the stone and brick on the porch. I texted pictures to Adam, and he said he'd come out the next day and said "I'll get it fixed for you". - After a few days of no updates, I texted again and didn't hear back. I gave him a few days and texted again, and he said he would stop by later that week. He never stopped by. I texted again, no response. I tried calling him and got a vague non-answer that he had stopped by (when? I don't know, because I was home nearly all day and never saw him), and fixed some things but couldn't fix everything and had to come back. - After more texts and calls for updates when he never showed back up (we're now at about 6 weeks since the initial work was done), my wife tried calling him. Surprise surprise, he answered right away since he didn't know to ignore her number like he had been ignoring mine. He told her he'd come by "no later than Wednesday" to fix the problems. He never showed. On Thursday, my wife sent multiple texts and tried calling multiple times, and he never responded. - I then texted him again, saying we felt like we deserved a refund for the poor work and complete lack of follow through. That got a response from Adam, who claimed he was "out of town this week on an emergency call since Wednesday" and "just saw multiple messages and texts" from my wife after getting my message (conveniently, he apparently didn't have phone service all week until my message came through?). Even if the emergency call story is true, he lacked all decency to communicate that with either me or my wife to let us know of the situation. - According to Adam, I hired him, and my wife didn't. So, in his words, "I'll communicate with you and she needs to talk to you". In other words, "I accidentally answered when she called because I didn't know she was calling to voice concerns and now I'm ignoring her". He also claimed that this seems to be a "husband/wife dispute" for some reason. I've never once hired a contractor who refused to talk to my wife about the job because, and I quote, "a man cannot serve two masters". Basically, he'll answer an unknown number the first time because he wants the business, but after that he'll ignore you if you're voicing concerns. And if you're married, you'd better make sure you're both there when he agrees to start the job, otherwise only one of you is allowed to talk to him. Unfinished Work, Poor Craftsmanship, and a False Lien Threat…read more I hired Ybarra Professional Builders to complete work in my home, including renovating the upstairs bathroom. While the project was technically completed, the quality was completely unacceptable. The bathroom sink leaks, and the grout in both the shower and floor is already coming up. I brought in licensed professionals to inspect the issues, and they confirmed the floor was improperly installed and the sink was not installed correctly either. Despite these clear defects, the company has refused to return and fix the problems. To make matters worse, I just received a Notice of Intent to File a Mechanic's Lien claiming I owe them $16,016.00--which is outrageous and completely false. They included charges for services they never performed, such as: Cabinet resurfacing (they did nothing to my kitchen cabinets) Interior painting (they partially painted my living room, which I already paid for--and even that was incomplete) I've kept all of my receipts and documented what was paid. I paid for the bathroom remodel, but it was done poorly and without accountability. There is absolutely no way they did $16,000 worth of work in my home. This feels like a scare tactic to get paid for work they didn't do or didn't do correctly. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They do not stand behind their work, and now I'm dealing with legal threats for charges that are clearly inflated and inaccurate. If you're considering using them--think twice and document everything. This experience has been stressful, costly, and incredibly disappointing.

I was approached by Ethan who was charismatic, personable and seemed to care about the project I was interested in. I wanted pavers on my driveway and a new concrete patio. Everything seemed to go well, perhaps taking a little longer than expected (but that was ok). The trouble started when the work was done. The ground settled and a tiny crack formed in the concrete. I contacted them in April to discuss the crack and puddling on the paver driveway. We got no response until May. Ethan finally said he would send someone to look at it. They came and within a couple of weeks two workers were here to fix the problems. Unfortunately, they made a bigger mess and eye sore than the original damage. I texted Ethan again with pictures of the "corrected" work and has since not heard from him or any representative from the Ybarra Professionals. I am very frustrated and disappointed that this happened. The only reason I am writing a public review is with the hope that Ybarra Professionals respond to my many calls and text messages.

We even know the owners personally and they still screwed us over, so imagine what they would do to you if you don't know them.... This was our first experience with a home insurance claim for water damage and John, whom we attend church with, coached us not to contact our insurance until their job was done, pay them as soon as they removed the last piece of equipment, and submit the receipt to insurance and insurance would pay us back. He said we would maybe have to push a little and send a few emails, but 100% of their customers have had insurance pay in full. He lulled us into a false sense of security, and add on top of this our trust in him because of knowing him personally, we believed him. BIG MISTAKE. We paid him upfront over $12,000 cash and insurance said the job was only valued at a little over $8000 so that's all they reimbursed us for, putting us out $4500! My insurance tried contacting them multiple times to have them explain the excessive charges, they ignored their calls. After speaking to John myself, Jeff finally answered my adjusters call who explained some charges, and John contacted me after saying my insurance agreed to pay the rest of the bill. ANOTHER LIE! I later found out from my insurance that my adjuster never said that and he would still not be paying on the full amount because it was outrageous compared to what it should be. John admitted to me on the phone how they hide extra charges into the cost of a fan or else insurance wouldn't pay them, which is what makes it look expensive to insurance, yet they won't be honest with the insurance companies about what costs they are hiding hoping insurance will just pay it. But then when insurance doesn't pay it because to them it looks like they are charging 4x industry standards for the cost of a fan it just bites the homeowner instead! In the end, I requested a refund from Rainy Day the difference and John brushed me off telling me to hire a public adjuster to continue to fight my insurance. He offered to pay up to $500 for their fee, but we would still likely pay much more than that because of the size of our claim as a whole and we don't want to risk losing even more money when insurance will most likely still say no. This whole thing could have been avoided if we chose a company that went through insurance, learn from our mistake! I have many many more grievances with the way this company took advantage of us and hurt us not just financially, but emotionally and mentally as well, but my point is DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Also, these good reviews are padded with people they know or who have worked for them. The review with the dishwasher leak and pictures is the owners own kitchen, and he didn't even pay a dime for it because he told me his business ate the cost of his repairs.
