I recently had an unexpected and stressful incident where I accidentally didn't put my car in park within the garage and it crept forward into the interior wall of my garage wall which was the master bedroom closet on the other side. We used RPS for three jobs (so far) - two planned, and one impromptu. First, they created an upstairs laundry room out of the top half of a two-story foyer - the new space and the old blend seamlessly with our home. Next, we had them completely redo our primary bathroom, which is now stunning and exactly what we wanted. The last job was a result of having a pipe burst while we were on vacation. RPS removed damaged wallboard, insulation, and all of the cabinetry in the kitchen. All of the various finishes are beautifully done, and we're thrilled with the changes. The biggest thing I want to call out is how well Jose kept us informed during periods where we were waiting and work was not happening for a while. AND, every time we needed to take a break before the next material or equipment was available, all of the in-stage but unfinished spaces were cleaned, covered in protective papers, and made safe. We had these guys come in and redo a niche for our built in electrical fire place. The original niche was the wrong size and well it's a long story. Basically, don't judge the finishing by the picture. The wall has a lot of problems including the drywall not being mudded properly, crappy paint job, and just generally not being plumb. They had to make the opening bigger by a couple of inches in height and then added supports on left and right to attach the fire place. It took them about 2.5 hrs and they did a pretty damn good job given what they had to work with. They came in with masks, set down paper to protect the floor, cleaned up afterwards and we're generally professional and respectful. Overall very pleased with the result. Work was done at a reasonable rate that was negotiated at the start. read more

Don't know what these guys problem is, but I requested a quote/contact with them through Yelp on Sunday afternoon. Jose texts me at 10pm at night asking if we can talk the next day. I respond back Monday morning saying yes, here's when I'm available...and never here from him. I texted him again the following day (Tuesday) saying I didn't hear back from him. Can we talk today?...again, nothing all day. He then texts me again that night...at 11:30pm! Saying, sorry, lets talk tomorrow. And you guessed it, never heard from him Wednesday or since. I'm writing this because I feel cheated. 0/5 stars if it were possible. Poor workmanship, carelessness, lack of accountability, no desire to make it right. This was a big project, and a lot of money (we paid over $20k). Response I got from Jose was "this is good, this is the normal way to do it, nothing is going to be perfect". They also left my house extremely dusty, my wife couldn't breathe so we had to stay in a hotel for a week and have the place professionally cleaned. Jose will be polite when he talks to you, but he doesn't do the work himself, he has issues with his guys that do the work, and god forbid you gave him your money and there's issues, he will tell you there's nothing wrong and nothing he will do about it. I HAVE SO MANY MORE PHOTOS OF WORKMANSHIP DEFECTS. SCORES OF THEM. No contractor will re-do the floor and shower until the plumbing is also redone. Estimates have me out another ~$13-15k. Just got married, saved up for a modest place as a first home and wanted to update the bathroom for my wife. Now we wish we wish we could turn back the clock and have our old fashioned bathroom instead of looking at this amateur work, potentially unsafe and a risk to the value of the home.
