My review was deleted from Google. That should tell you all you need to know about the character of…read morethe Brights Scholars administration. Bright Scholars may be a good fit for families whose children easily adapt to structured classroom expectations. However, for children who need additional support adjusting to a school environment, the experience can be very concerning. Parents should be aware that if a child struggles with sitting still, following directions immediately, or navigating a classroom setting for the first time, they may find that the school lacks the resources and training necessary to effectively support those needs. Rather than working collaboratively to help children develop these skills, families may find themselves being called to pick up their child repeatedly. What was most concerning was hearing from administration that many teachers only possess high school diplomas. This raises important questions about the level of training being provided to staff, particularly in the area of behavior management and supporting young learners with diverse developmental needs. Dr. Mia Young, given your educational background and stated expertise in Educational Leadership, professional development, and staff training, I would hope to see stronger implementation of those principles within your organization. Effective behavior management, de-escalation strategies, and developmentally appropriate interventions should be fundamental components of staff training in an early childhood setting. Unfortunately, the challenges in this area were evident during the graduation ceremony on May 30, 2026. Watching staff respond to a scholar who clearly needed additional patience, guidance, and support was disheartening. Rather than demonstrating compassion and effective behavioral strategies, the situation highlighted what appeared to be significant gaps in training and preparedness. Every child deserves an educational environment where they are supported as they learn, grow, and develop the skills necessary to succeed. Schools should not only celebrate children who naturally fit into a structured environment, but also be equipped to help those who need extra encouragement, understanding, and care along the way.

This is her 3rd year and 3rd teacher, she loves each year and each teacher. Each year has been better than the year before. The staff and teachers are Absolutely Amazing! Ms Hyre is her teacher this year in Pre-K. It is going to be a Sweet Sorrow when she leaves before going to Kg at OCPS. Ms. Hyre has been a God Send! I have seen my granddaughter Blossom in Ms. Hyre's Class. I use to think, "They learn it all in Kindergarten", but now, I can truly say they learn it all in Pre-K. Ms Hyre has prepared her for Kg., First Grade, & Life Beyond. She has truly learned so much in Ms Hyre's Class, I am Amazed, Each Day when she comes home. We will never forget Ms. Hyre and Pre-K at Bright Scholars.

I cannot thank the staff enough for the way they work alongside parents to help develop truly amazing little humans who will go on to do great things in this world. While there may be other schools that look more aesthetically impressive, you simply cannot put a price on the love, care, and emotional intelligence provided at Academy for Kids. Mary is an incredible director who genuinely does everything she can to ensure the school succeeds and that the children are cared for properly. The atmosphere created by the staff goes far beyond basic childcare and education. If you are looking for a daycare where your child will not only learn what they need before kindergarten academically, but also learn kindness, respect, emotional growth, and how to be a good human beyond the classroom, this is the place.

It was convenient to drop off as they had early hours for someone (me) who lived in town but worked in Orlando. They had a unique check in and check out system. Parents weren't always welcomed to go back near classrooms to get their children - but as a teacher I understand that. They preferred to get your child themselves and drop off in the front lobby. My son had the same 2 teachers the whole time he was there and we continued our relationship with them outside of the school for many years. We loved Ms. Judy & Ms. Lori. We've lost touch now. They had many events planned throughout the summer there too. I see a few posted about the price of daycare, honestly maybe the price has gone up... but back in 2010-2013 it was affordable. Your paying someone to take care of your child, I think a price increase would be understandable.
