This review is a little overdue. I want to give a shout-out to Alberto for not only being an…read moreawesome handyman, but also an all-around kind and compassionate person who cares about all the work he does, no matter how big or small the job is.
I know, I know...why do I live in Florida and writing a review for a handyman dude in California, right? A short time back, I visited my sister in CA. Long story short, she asked me to assist with some things around her house. That consisted of helping her hire a handyman and see a few jobs through. Not what I had in mind for my visit mind you, but ok. My sister lives in the middle of nowhere (to me anyway), so it wasn't going to be easy to find someone. On that note, although Alberto didn't have many reviews, we decided to take a chance on him since he's in the area. Not to mention, he was the best-priced and was available (insert happy dance here).
As for his work...oh my gosh...where do I start? First of all, he showed up early to get set up to start working on time. He was so polite and even asked one day if he could get started early...hello...heck yeah! Once he started working, he was completely focused. Sure, it may seem like I was babysitting a handyman, but it was like watching an artist at work. We started off with him installing new wood trim around some doors and windows, installing shelves in the pantry, and display/book shelves in the guest room. OK, then things got a little crazy after this because he is a handyman superman! We learned he could do anything...good gravy! And, he was available...woo hoo! He did have to step away for a day and a few hours on another day due to previous commitments, but that is understandable since we were "adding on" and it's good business to keep your commitments (so, don't get upset if this happens to you--just relax, he'll be back). Plus, since he knew I was visiting for a short time helping out, he made sure he fit everything in as much as he could during my stay. His hours are until 5pm, but he asked if he could stay a little longer to finish on a few days...um...heck yeah! So hey...in addition to the above, he installed a new sink in the laundry room with a beautiful tile backsplash, trimmed the branches back over the deck, replaced the garbage disposal, installed storage shelves in the garage (which we didn't even know she/we needed--but they are the best thing since sliced bread), and repaired some holes in the concrete driveway. This guy didn't let any grass grow under his feet...always moving! I felt so bad, I had to ask him to sit a minute here and there--I was getting exhausted just watching him! When I left, our other sister was going out to visit and take over projects. We had him already booked to come out to paint the master bedroom, seal the deck, install blinds, lay tile in the foyer, put up a new fence around the chicken coop, to name a few.
Alberto can do anything!!! Everything this guy puts his magical hands on turns out perfect! I honestly don't know who benefited more from his skills and talent...us or him. But I know one thing, I feel blessed that we took a chance on him; everything happens for a reason. He is so kind and honest that he didn't need me as a babysitter. Although I enjoyed his company, I would wholeheartedly trust him to do anything in my house anytime. I just wish I had a guy like Alberto where I live...ya'll are lucky if you live in this area and have him nearby.
I've included a copy of Alberto's business card (if you can't see it on this review, it is in the photos). Write down the number and stick it to the fridge, put it somewhere easy for you to find, or wherever you squirrel away notes for when you're looking for "a guy" or a good "handyman" and live in this area. Look no more--Alberto is your magical handyman Superman!
Side note kudo: he's a huge animal lover. What a big heart! He didn't mind animals being around at all--thank you for this Alberto! It made a difference more than you can imagine and words can convey.
