What a great experience working with Nick and his crew! I was impressed with the process from beginning to end. My original deck was old, wood and larger than I wanted. Nick helped rework the design and it better suits my needs and budget now. There was some minor dry rot which was quickly repaired and they moved on. Nick and Gary are a great team - very professional, very efficient. Starting with initial communication - my preferred method of communication is email - Nick was very clear and concise in his communications. He replied quickly to our many questions and really helped us hone in on our final choices. As the job progressed, we had some minor dry rot problems reveal themselves as the original decking was removed. As others here have noted, Nick and Gary immediately let us know, suggested a remedy, and got on with the job. As the deck started to take shape, Nick was happy to answer questions and was very tolerant of our curiosity! The final result (Trex Transcend in Spiced Rum with hidden fasteners, Fortress powder coated railing with Trex cocktail rail, pressure treated wood substructure) is all we could have hoped for. Recently had a deck replaced by Nick and his partner Gary. They worked hard all day for 7 straight days until it was finished. When I asked him to modify the stair design, he willingly did so. They are total professionals in their jobs. They also did some on-the-fly dry rot repair to the house. When all was finished, they cleaned up the yard exceptionally well. I can't recommend Nick highly enough. We shopped around for different options for our deck, and received four quotes. Nick's quote was neither the lowest, nor the highest, but we were impressed by his professionalism and his willingness to listen to our needs, and so went with him. At the outset Nick was aware that we were hoping to hold our wedding at our house, and agreed to do all he could to make sure that the work was completed in time... ...as things turned out we had less time to complete the work than we'd hoped for. To make matters worse, we discovered extensive rot under our siding, and a lack of weatherproofing. We decided to replace all of our siding and weatherproof our entire house ...thus massively increasing Nick's workload in what was a fraction of the time! ...it would have been completely understandable if Nick would have been unable to complete the work in time for our wedding ...but he did it! ...he pulled out all the stops, worked longer hours than we could have expected, and did an incredible job. It took my wife and I close to a year to decide on the right contractor to completely rebuild our front deck. We met with close to 6 different contractors with two of them never even returning a quote. After meeting with Nick Cadematori we felt very comfortable with his quote and his professionalism. What you see is what you get from Nick. Nick will come over get the details on your project and give you a quote in a timely manner. Nick is also the one who does the work along with his partner. Nick was very efficient professional and showed each day just after 7:00 to start the day. If he noticed any additional work that needed to be done he immediately gave me a call to discuss some options. Our project was not an easy one. We have a wrap around deck that extends from the front of the house all the way around to the left side. Nick gave us a couple of different options to choose from and in the end we went with Trex Transend flooring with Trex Colonial railing. It turned out beautiful. They knocked it out in about a week. Can't say enough about Cadematori Construction. I'm already planning my next project for him. read more
