The restaurant is pretty small/cozy on the inside, with only a handful of tables. When I walked in, I was overcome with the delicious scent of freshly fried dough and was greeted by a lovely staff member who helped me navigate the menu. They are all paperless so I had to pull up the menu from online, but they also had a rotating screen with menu items. I was curious to try a few different options so I went with the shredded beef epanada (1 order comes with 2 large empanadas), chicken empanada (again 1 order comes with 2) and 1 large beef poblano empanada which is huge and filled with beans, beef, and plantain. It took about 10mins to make everything and while I was waiting I was offered a free coffee, which was delicious! The vibe is so friendly, welcoming and staff are extremely kind...and to top if off everything was delicious!! Only reason I gave 4 stars is bc it's kinda pricey- each empanada averaged out to about $7-8 and the large one was about $12. All in all I spent almost $50 for lunch for 2 people. I'm not saying it's not worth it, it definitely is, I was just surprised by the price (I'm not even sure what the going price for empanadas since it was my first exposure in Toronto!) The baked goods are priced even better - similar pastries at other stores are usually more expensive, yet these ones were just as good. The brisket poutine is HUGE and the brisket was delicious - just wish there was more cheese. Service is friendly overall, but they take their time with each order. Lots of seating, but parking situation is not good, and public transport is not convenient - we just ubered here the several times we went.

I did a search on my Uber Eats app and found this store. It was offering a BOGO deal on a couple of savoury perogies meals. Bacon or truffle mushroom perogies? It was a tough decision. I love both. I caved and went with the latter. You have the option of choosing what filling you want in your perogies. I went classic and chose cheddar potato. I also got dessert perogies. The apple pie ones intrigued me. I got an estimated time of twenty minutes for my order to be completed. I took my time getting there. This eatery is on the southwest corner of The Queensway and Consol. The latter is interesting in that it's a u-shaped street. You basically drive all the way down the east part of u-shaped Consol until you can't drive anymore. You'll see Holy Perogy! I backed into a spot and walked in. I was the only customer in the store. A friendly man greeted me. I let him know that I had an Uber Eats order. He first thought that I was a driver for Uber Eats. I'm not sure why. Maybe I look casual enough to be one? If you are a food app driver, you need to bring your insulated bag with you. Otherwise, this store won't give you any order. It prides itself on having hot food staying hot. Since I was a hungry customer who had ordered food, he gave me my order and apologized for the mix-up. It was all good. I thanked him and headed to my car with my order. I, too, have insulated bags in my car. I placed my food in one of them and drove home. I then enjoyed one of the truffled mushroom perogies meals that night with the apple pie ones. I had the second mushroom one the following night. I highly recommend the truffled mushroom perogies if you are a huge mushroom lover. They were delicious. This place didn't skimp on the mushrooms. You could taste the truffle oil. It wasn't overpowering. It was perfect. The cheddar potato perogies were so good with the mushrooms and the creamy sauce. I loved the green onions on top. It was a filling meal. I'd get it again. I had the second container of mushroom perogies the following day. They heated up well and tasted equally as yummy. Dessert perogies? Yes, please! The apple pie perogies were outstanding. The apple pie filling was yummy with a hint of sweetness. I loved the cinnamon with the cubed apples in every bite. It had the right amount of caramel drizzled on each one. So good! This place was a great find on Uber Eats. I need to head back for more. I love that the perogies themselves are vegan and can still be vegan depending on the sauces and toppings you out on. Menu has very typical Korean offerings such as pork bone soup, japchae, seafood pancake etc. I saw many people ordering the army stew which made my mouth water, but with kids, can't order anything too spicy. We ended up with bibimbap (not dolsot), rice cake dumpling soup (beef broth), pork bone soup, and seafood pancake). Flavours of everything was good, nothing really stood out. Servers/waitresses very nice and friendly. They brought over kid sized utensils without us asking. We didn't ask also because we tend to bring our own for the kids. Banchan was limited, only kimchi, pickled daikon and carrots, and potato. But unfortunately later on in the night i started getting quite thirsty so that's usually a sign of MSG. Personal issue as i tend to be more sensitive to MSG than others. Next morning woke up with swollen fingers and face as well due to the MSG. So if you are sensitive, you might want to avoid Insadong.

Selfish does not begin to describe it. The nurses and doctors are essential. The grocery store workers who make sure we have food are essential. The pharmacies that give us medicine. A store that sells cocktail picks and 11$ jars of mustard is NOT essential! You seem proud to put the most at-risk in our community in danger. Roncesvalles will remember your behavior in these difficult times.
