Such money grabbing tactics are not ethically sound in my view. I didn't mind the Dr not being on time but to then be charged for that 20 mins I wasn't even being consulted is very unfair. Further to the above and after even having it being confirmed as sent twice by Dr Hare, the practice manager Robyn withheld urgent information for over 2 weeks that needed to be sent on for a surgery approval due to an accounts error. This vital information was never relayed to me as I could have remedied and thus it has put my surgery back by at least 1 month due to it now almost being Christmas. AGAIN, MONEY GRABBING TACTICS AND AN EXTREMELY POOR CASE OF NOT COMMUNICATING PROPERLY GETTING IN THE WAY OF DECENT PATIENT CARE. Robyn wasn't even apologetic, just arrogant.

He followed up with a phone call within two days to check my progress and, since then, has been available and helpful with checking medications and contacting specialists. I look forward to an ongoing patient/relationship with Dr Cooze and wish him well in his future at Mont Albert Medical Centre.

I arrived 10 minutes early to be greeted by the receptionist with the following sentence "That's right, you're new *sigh*. You'll need to fill in these forms, go sit there" She then proceeded to take personal calls whilst 4 patients were waiting in the relatively small waiting area. One call was a friend of hers prank calling her saying that they had been shot in the stomach. Her advice to what she thought was a real caller was "call 911" As you can imagine, my concern with a medical staffer using an American emergency number to someone who was potentially in a dire situation was quite large. Do yourself a favour, go to chemist warehouse and get a diagnosis from the 16 year old work experience kid. You'll be glad you did.

If you need an actual check up or you want to get better quickly make sure you see these guys. They have parking out the back, which I believe is shared with a kinder so be mindful of times that you book for an appointment. If you are dropping someone off they have an undercover drive thru area so you can drop off your loved one. I saw Dr. Janice Kreltszheim on my last visit and she is fantastic, definitely worth seeing if you want a thorough doctor with a friendly personality.

I always feel a bit strange reviewing a hospital. The Doctors do such a great job, but I'm going to…read morebase this upon getting around the building and wait times. Make sure you have google map availability if you come here. The different buildings are a nightmare to navigate. Signage is poor to non existent and you will get lost when you first come here. And good luck finding the car park. The layout is like an old army barracks. After all, this place was built to serve injured war veterans during WW2. Next to the wait times. Oh my word! I have been here numerous times and I've always had to wait ages. The longest, two hours to be seen despite being told to turn up at a certain time. OK I get it, Melbourne's population is booming, but if other hospitals I've been to (and there's been a few) can keep waiting to a minimum, why can't this one? So overall, Doctors and nurses awesome, but signage and wait times nightmare. Three stars.

However after going to an appointment with Dr Mahan I found her rude and arrogant. I wouldn't recommend going to her and I understand now why people find a doctor they're happy with and stick with them. She was unapproachable and seemed to want me to leave asap and get it over and done with. Quite rude since she was running half hour late already for a 10.00am! Pretty unimpressed.
The Wantirna Medical Clinic on Harold Street has been my local doctors for years. The doctors tend…read moreto rotate pretty frequently - enough so that I've never really had a regular doctor but a string of random practitioners who I am unlikely to see again. This works out pretty well sometimes as it means I can ask whatever embarrassing medical questions I want with no fear of having to face them again in three months time. On the other hand it's also pretty annoying as it means that you have to catch each doctor up with your medical history each time you go. This practice never seems to be running on time with appointments with very long waiting times even when you booked well in advance. My advice is to book one of the first sessions each morning to avoid this. They have a kids play area in the waiting room and plenty of magazines and books for older people to look at. There's also a small television in the corner to keep you entertained. There's about four or five doctors who work here at any given time so they also accept walk-ins without appointments- however except to wait a really, really long time. On site they have a second building, which is equipped for blood tests, injections and x-rays. The staff in this building are really friendly and very good at dealing with people who are scared of having needles. Despite the waiting around, the service here is generally pretty good and because it's so local to me I really cannot complain.

The waiting room can get a little crowded but there's still always somewhere to sit, lots of water, magazines, etc. There's also a separate room for parents with children that has a variety of toys and books, which is awesome if you're a grumpy, sick adult who hates the sound of fun and laughter. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and have managed to book all of my appointments without any hiccups or scheduling problems. The only downside here is that they don't do bulk billing (so far as I'm aware). They's plenty of parking at the back of the practice, which you can turn into from Inkerman street. In the car park you'll also find a back entrance with a wheelchair accessible ramp. Professional, clean, kind, and friendly. I would recommend any of the doctors here to anyone.
