Buller is a cool and eclectic brewery in the Recoleta neighborhood in Buenos Aires. I tried two of their one of their IPA (Hazy) and the Helles. Both were really good. Great rooftop spot with an incredible view overlooking the Recoleta Cemetery--definitely one of the best features of Buller Bar. My husband and I stooped in after the cemetery for a snack and while the empanadas were good, the service was a little slow. My husband was very excited for a flight of beer as it's a brewery and all. He wasn't happy with the warm beer. He felt if you run a brewery, the least you could do is make sure the tempature of the beer is correct when served. Also, there is a rooftop seating area with a view of the cemetery but without service. You need to go into the bar to grab a drink. We sat for several minutes until we realized the 3 employees working up there were not attending to the tables, so be aware. Someone should have mentioned that. read more

My wife (who is black) and I (white) went to this restaurant on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, we went again, and the owner said that he would not serve us and asked us to leave. My Spanish is bad, so I couldn't understand why we weren't welcome. We left feeling sad, humiliated, discriminated against, and wanting to go back home. Maybe this place only wants a specific clientele for its customers. I am a retired lawyer and judge. This establishment would answer a lawsuit if this situation happened in the US or Brazil. However, despite this terrible encounter, the rest of Buenos Aires was terrific. I will be reporting this incident to the US State Department this week. Very slow. The service was ridiculously slow. The hostess with the bleach blonde hair with 3 inch roots (tacky) had an attitude, seemed to give people dirty looks, did wish people well or say thank you when they left but just glared at them. Big decent brew house. Looks like it might be part of a wider chain, but that did not stop me liking it. Positioned ideally for a pre or post cemetery walk pint. It is everything you would expect from a brew house that is appealing to tourist trade. Doing 6 or 7 different styles in tap m including my beloved IPA (or eepa as they produce it out here) burgers and wings are on offer. This is one of the many restaurants surrounding the historic cemetery. It is a good place to sit and relax. There main food is pizza, sandwiches. and hamburgers, which are not bad at all. They also have a few beers - eight at the time of this review - which they get directly from their brewery. Fortunately, it is not brewed on site, as the site is right next to the cemetery. The good: the location, the marketing, the build out, the service. The bad: the beer and the food. Buller has all the charm of an American-style tap house, without the good beer or good food.
